00:00Police have raided the Paris offices of Elon Musk's social media platform, X.
00:07The search comes as part of an investigation over algorithmic bias on the platform,
00:12as well as over alleged interference in its management since Musk acquired X.
00:17The Paris prosecutor's office said its cybercrime unit is conducting the searches
00:22with the support of Europol and the French police's own cybercrime department.
00:28The prosecutor's office had previously said that two people claimed X's algorithm
00:33may have been used for foreign interference.
00:36It now added that the investigation has widened after more complaints emerged
00:40over the platform's AI chatbot, Grok, including claims that it spread Holocaust denial content
00:46and sexual deepfakes.
00:48More recently, Grok has sparked a global backlash by allowing to create non-consensual,
00:53sexually explicit material of women, children and public figures.
