Louvre heist: Five new suspects arrested as search for jewels continues
French police have now detained seven people over the robbery at France's landmark museum on 19 October.

Almost two weeks after the crown jewel heist at the Louvre in Paris, five more people were arrested Wednesday overnight.

One of them, who was identified by DNA, is suspected of being part of the four-person team that robbed the museum in broad daylight.

That's according to a Paris public prosecutor.

The prosecutor added that the four other arrests concerned people who could provide information about how the theft unfolded.

The latest arrests did not help recover the stolen pieces valued at 88 million euros.
