00:00Christine Holm just announced that you're deploying body cameras to Minneapolis.
00:03What's your thinking behind this decision, and do you want to see this?
00:06Well, it wasn't my decision. I leave it to her.
00:10They generally tend to be good for law enforcement, because people can't lie about what's happening.
00:15So it's, generally speaking, I think 80% good for law enforcement.
00:19But if she wants to do that, I'm okay with it.
00:23Remember one thing, we closed the border.
00:24I got elected on a disastrous border, and we have nobody coming in through our border anymore.
00:31We had 25 million people come in in four years through our border.
00:35Many of them were murderers and drug dealers and those mentally insane from mental institutions and insane asylums.
00:45And now we don't have anybody coming in.
00:48For nine months now, I mean, they actually report zero.
00:51We have zero people coming in, which I find hard to believe.
00:53But the Democrats do that report.
00:56They tend to be left-leaning that do that report.
00:59So I assume it's true.
01:00If it's not, it's a very tiny amount of people.
01:03But we basically have a tremendously perfect, strong border.
01:07And also, crime levels are at the lowest point they've been in 125 years.
01:13Since 1900, we have the best numbers.
01:16And that's despite the fact that we had a lot of criminals and murderers.
01:2011,888 murderers came in.
01:24And we have the lowest numbers that we've had in 125 years.
01:28So, you know, so we're doing a good job.
01:31If she wants to do the camera thing, that's okay with me.
01:33Mr. President, there was one homicide in D.C. during January.
01:38Do you think this is due to your efforts?
01:40And do you think police states should see this as a sign that they should cooperate with you?
01:43Well, if there was one, I mean, we haven't had one in a long time.
01:47D.C. has become a very safe...
01:48It was an in-house homicide.
01:50It was in-house.
01:51It was a dispute within a family.
01:55We have had virtually no crime in D.C.
01:58D.C. is now considered a very safe place.
02:01And it should be.
02:02It's our nation's capital.
02:03And we sent in the soldiers.
02:05I read the Washington Post this week, and it was incredible.
02:08They were trying to determine how come...
02:10How did we get so low numbers?
02:12The low numbers in D.C. because we have very little crime, if any.
02:16And they talked about everything except for the fact that we put our National Guard and great soldiers inside our city.
02:24They didn't want to mention that.
02:25It's how dishonest.
02:27Because if we didn't do that, you'd have tremendous crime in D.C.
02:30And I get thanked every single day by people that work in the White House.
02:35People, young ladies, men, they come up.
02:37Thank you, sir, for making D.C. so safe.
02:39They walk to work now.
02:41A year and a half ago, they wouldn't have walked to work.
02:42They would have been killed or mugged if something would have happened to them.
02:46So it's a great honor.
02:48But you've got to read the story of the Washington Post.
02:51They do it.
02:52Crime is way down in D.C.
02:55Now, what's the reason for it?
02:56The reason for it is we have very big, strong, good-looking soldiers standing around.
03:03And I think they make the place look better.
03:05But this is our capital.
03:07And we have a very safe capital.
03:08We had a very dangerous capital.
03:10We have a very safe capital.
