00:00The mother of Today Show anchor Savannah Guthrie has been reported missing in Arizona under
00:04concerning circumstances, authorities revealed on February 1st, with officials confirming the
00:09case is being officially investigated as a crime. According to the Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos,
00:15a relative made a 911 call around noon on Sunday, February 1st, to report 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie
00:22missing. Nancy Guthrie was last seen at her home in Catalina Foothills, north of Tucson,
00:27at around 9.30 p.m. on January 31st, authorities said. The elder Guthrie was not known to have
00:33illnesses such as dementia or Alzheimer's and was of good sound mind. However, she was described as
00:38being in not of good physical health. Homicide detectives were also scouring the elderly woman's
00:44home, which was not standard protocol for a missing person case, authorities said. On Monday, February 2nd,
00:50authorities confirmed the case was officially being investigated as a crime. It is a crime scene,

01:31The feds have since been looped in on the search, NBC crime reporter Tom Winter told the Today Show.

01:47from the border there in Mexico. They have some special resources. The FBI is also aware of this case as well.
