00:00We are here. We're shining like we're born to be. That's what we're doing. How are you feeling, Shannon, so far tonight at the Grammys?
00:07Feeling golden.
00:09Ah, nice. Sorry, I had to. I had to.
00:11Of course you had to.
00:12Fun attended, yeah.
00:13Yeah, fun attended.
00:15And I mean, I love seeing you guys perform the other night. What was interesting to me is that you guys took, it was the Songwriters Awards, and you guys like stripped it down.
00:23It did an acoustic version. That was so different and interesting to see. So how was it to kind of show off that side of you guys?
00:28I mean, shout out to Ian Eisendrath. We worked on the arrangement together, and I think it was intimate. We showed off our own vocal tones, which I love both of their tones so much. It was a beautiful moment. How did you guys feel?
00:43I honestly think it was my favorite arrangement we've done so far. I just thought it was so simple, and I love simple things. It means so much.
00:54I love that you were able to show off your artistry in that way, because the song is such a great song, right? It's a fantastic pop song. It's a fantastic film. Everything is there, and then you look at the core of it, and it's your voices and those arrangements and the harmonies, and you can do it stripped down and sound like a million bucks.
01:18So congrats.
01:19And the lyrics really shine through.
01:21Yeah, of course. Absolutely. And I mean, I talked to you guys when you got the Grammy nominations, but that was before the Oscar nominations.
01:29I know.
01:29Like, we're here at the Grammys, but we do got to talk about the future. Hopefully you win tonight, and I get to see another great speech from you.
01:35But, like, what about the Oscars? How are you feeling, guys?
01:38Oh, so nervous. It's so exciting.
01:42Oh, my God. I haven't even processed this one. Sorry. I have. I don't. Oh, my God. Oh, this is a lot.
01:48I mean, this girl's emotionally constipated, so.
01:51Emotionally constipated is a great description.
01:52I feel like today, this week is, like, the first week that I'm really feeling the gravity of this cultural phenomenon, this moment, what it means for us, what it means for our lineage and our representation.
02:08I think the Oscars are going to have to wait for one sec just because I'm like, okay, we're here.
02:14We're here.
02:15We are here.
02:16We're Grammys.
02:17We got to get you guys out of here, but one question I want to ask before you go. Pick one song from the soundtrack that you will perform next if it's not golden.
02:24Everybody, pick your favorite. You got to do it, and then you can go. Then you can go.
02:28What would you want?
02:29How It's Done.
02:30How It's Done.
02:31Oh, I love that it was in unison.
02:33Coming soon.
02:35I was going to say what it sounds like. That's the one for me.
02:37I know, I know.
02:38All right, well, thank you, guys. I hope to see more of you.
02:40Good luck tonight. I better see you on the stage.
02:42I'm glad you guys rock.
02:43Love you guys.
02:47I'm glad you guys rock.
