Gefällt euch, was ihr seht?

00:25die Battlestar Galactica.
00:27In diesem Gameplay Overview Video,
00:29we'll take a detailed look at the game's major systems
00:32and how they shape the unique trajectory of your runs.
00:36In Scattered Hopes,
00:38the core gameplay loop is structured
00:39by alternating phases of Fleet Management and Combat.
00:45Fleet Management phases offer a limited number of turns
00:48to prepare for the next Cylon encounter.
00:50During this phase,
00:51you'll manage scarce resources,
00:53upgrade your Gunstar and Squadrons,
00:56train your crew,
00:57and explore points of interest.
00:58Various crises and in-fleet situations
01:01will also confront you with hard choices,
01:04affecting your fleet's survival odds.
01:06As Commander,
01:07there are elements you'll need to monitor constantly
01:09to inform your decisions.
01:11First and foremost,
01:12the countdown until the next Cylon attack.
01:14Time is perhaps your most valuable resource
01:16in each safe sector.
01:17With each action costing turns
01:19and time-sensitive issues emerging constantly,
01:21you must prioritize your decisions,
01:23knowing the Cylons are inexorably closing in.
01:25Your fleet's overall status can be checked here.
01:28The hull bar shows how much damage your gunstar can withstand in combat,
01:31whereas the fleet's health bar represents your survivors on board,
01:34their health and living conditions.
01:36Your run will end should any of these deplete entirely,
01:38your fleet will be destroyed,
01:40and all survivors aboard will die.
01:41Resources are the lifeblood of your survival.
01:45Scrap is used as general currency
01:47and as material for upgrades.
01:49Supplies are needed to solve urgent situations on board.
01:53Nukes serve as powerful wipeout attacks in combat.
01:56Tilium fuels faster-than-light jumps in combat
01:59and to explore points of interest.
02:01Aside from nukes,
02:02all resources can be produced passively by your gunstar
02:05and civilian ships after each jump,
02:08should they survive combat.
02:10You won't be alone in this perilous mission to rejoin the Galactica.
02:14You can rely on your heroes,
02:16officers,
02:17and high-profile crew members
02:18that you can trust with important missions in and out of combat.
02:21These characters may be outstanding individuals
02:23with skills surpassing most,
02:25but they remain human.
02:27You'll need to keep an eye on their health and morale.
02:29Survivors in your fleet come from all walks of life.
02:33Military,
02:34civilians,
02:35and even outlaws.
02:36Keeping an eye on in-fleet politics
02:38is vital to your fleet's survival,
02:40as a faction's influence
02:41and the rapport it has with you
02:42will greatly influence events triggered in your run.
02:47Situations are various events that happen on board,
02:50ranging from hull breaches,
02:52fires,
02:52Cylon onboardings,
02:54illness,
02:54or general crowd panic.
02:56These can occur spontaneously
02:57or as a result of your failing relationship with a faction.
03:00They may also happen as a consequence
03:02of incurring extensive damage in combat.
03:04You can resolve them
03:05by sending one of your heroes to deal with it directly
03:07or by utilizing supplies.
03:09Keep in mind that some situations
03:11may pose risks to your heroes' safety
03:13and could,
03:14at worst,
03:14cost them their lives.
03:16You can choose to ignore them,
03:17but if you do not address them
03:19by the end of the indicated countdown,
03:21your fleet's health
03:21will degrade significantly.
03:23At some point,
03:25you'll discover that some of these situations
03:27are actually a result of sabotage
03:29from an infiltrated Cylon.
03:31Nobody can be trusted,
03:32and you'll need to unmask the imposter
03:34through a dedicated investigation.
03:37Crises are more complex events
03:39that will require you to step directly
03:40into the Combat Information Center.
03:43After listening to the briefing,
03:44you will be offered two choices
03:45on how to address the issue.
03:47One will trigger an objective-based,
03:49time-limited mission
03:50where you'll need to accomplish various tasks,
03:52fail to check off all objectives on the list,
03:55and you will face harsh consequences.
03:57The other choice will offer an immediate
03:59but often costly solution,
04:00whether you pay with dwindling resources
04:02or by losing favor with a hero or a faction,
04:05knowing that these tense relationships
04:07may trigger even more crises in the future.
04:10Crises test your ability
04:11to weigh the outcomes of each choice
04:13and measure their impact
04:14on your fleet's immediate and future needs.
04:16Sacrifices will always be necessary,
04:18but which are you ready to make?
04:22On the flip side of Crises,
04:24Opportunities are events
04:26that can reward you with positive effects,
04:28such as additional resources
04:29and improvements to your fleet.
04:31They also require tasks to be completed
04:33within a limited time frame,
04:34but in this case,
04:35failure does not come with negative consequences.
04:39Once per sector,
04:41decisions that make you fall out of favor
04:42with a faction or a hero
04:43can be slightly counterbalanced
04:45by spending time in the bar.
04:47Ambrosia has a way of loosening tongues
04:49and bringing enemies together, after all.
04:52Points of interest will vary
04:53across the different sectors you jump to.
04:55They can present a reliable way
04:57to replenish your resources
04:58at the cost of burning Tillium.
05:00Some POIs also offer
05:02strategic additions to your fleet,
05:04such as new squadrons,
05:05gunstar weapons,
05:06heroes,
05:07and even civilian ships.
05:09By sending heroes to explore POIs
05:11and solve situations,
05:13they will gain experience
05:14and acquire traits.
05:15These can facilitate
05:16their missions within the fleet,
05:18such as increasing
05:19their rarity of POI rewards
05:20or unlock new skills,
05:22such as manning gunstar weapons
05:23and piloting squadrons.
05:28Squadrons are your first line of defense
05:30and will brave enemy fire repeatedly.
05:32Here in the hangar,
05:33you can oversee their repairs,
05:34assign a designated pilot,
05:36and choose their next upgrade.
05:38Squadron perks.
05:39Some improve base specs,
05:40while others offer unique skills
05:42and passives
05:43that give an extra edge in combat.
05:45You can also manage
05:45your gunstar weapon setup
05:47focusing on single target damage
05:48or large AoEs.
05:52Given sufficient scrap,
05:54your R&D department
05:55can work on meaningful upgrades
05:56to your fleet,
05:57such as strengthening the hull
05:58of your gunstar
05:59and expanding your squadron
06:01and weapon slots.
06:02They can also work on upgrades
06:03specific to your gunstar model.
06:05Fleet upgrades can also come
06:06from auxiliary systems,
06:07which offer permanent buffs
06:09to both management
06:10and combat actions.
06:12Combat phases are asymmetrical fights
06:17where the Cylon fleet
06:18overwhelmingly outnumbers you.
06:20During the two minutes
06:21it takes for FTL calculations
06:22to compute,
06:23you'll need to defend your fleet
06:24in real-time combat
06:25with tactical pause
06:26until you can jump
06:28to the next safe sector.
06:29You likely won't get away
06:30from these fights unscathed
06:31and will need to deal
06:32with damage sustained
06:33in the next fleet management phase.
06:37During the deployment phase,
06:38you'll need to determine
06:39the optimal squadron
06:40and gunstar loadout
06:41for this encounter.
06:43Thankfully,
06:43the DRADUS system
06:44will show you a preview
06:45of the enemies
06:45as they spawn.
06:48Combat is in real-time
06:50and you'll need to command
06:51multiple squadron units
06:52and weapons at once.
06:54Using real-time pause
06:55will allow you to assess
06:56the flow of the battle
06:57more efficiently.
06:58You can use this function
06:59at any time,
07:00testing each move
07:01with ballistic previews
07:02before you commit.
07:06Each of your squadrons
07:07has its own strengths
07:08and weaknesses.
07:09Not only do their base specs differ,
07:11but their unique perks,
07:12EMP,
07:13camouflage,
07:14on-field repairs,
07:15determine their strategic value
07:17during combat.
07:18As you progress in your run
07:20and apply more squadron upgrades,
07:22you'll come to understand
07:23how each unit
07:24can handle specific enemy matchups.
07:27Gunstars have different
07:28starting weapons
07:28according to your starting fleet,
07:30but you may acquire
07:31any type of weapon
07:31during your run.
07:32Some of them
07:33are activated manually
07:34with a targeting system
07:35such as nukes and missiles.
07:37Others are activated
07:38automatically
07:39with areas of effect
07:40surrounding your fleet
07:41with automatic targeting.
07:44Cooldowns can be lowered
07:44with hero traits
07:45and auxiliary systems.
07:48Enemy units you encounter
07:49will be varied,
07:50attacking you at close
07:51or long range.
07:52Some may have special effects
07:53and buff their allies.
07:55You will also need to
07:55defend your fleet
07:56against the main ship,
07:57which can also use
07:58devastating weapons
07:59against your fleet.
08:01Once the FTL calculations
08:03are finally complete,
08:04you'll need to recall
08:05your squadrons
08:06before you jump.
08:07If the situation calls for it,
08:09you can order
08:09an emergency jump
08:10at the cost of extra Tillion
08:12and leaving fighters behind.
08:14Should you survive
08:15the encounter,
08:16you'll be able to choose
08:17a reward,
08:18which varies between
08:18extra resources
08:19and blessings
08:20that cancel out
08:21negative consequences
08:22in the following
08:23management phase.
08:25Regardless of if you
08:27succeed in rejoining
08:27the Galactica,
08:28you will gain a resource
08:29you can invest in
08:30meta upgrades,
08:32fate,
08:32enough of it
08:33and you can drastically
08:34improve the survival odds
08:36of your next fleet
08:36by giving it a head start
08:38with extra resources
08:39or upgrading the overall
08:40rarity of hero traits
08:41and squadron perks
08:42it will be offered.
08:45Trials are a series of feats
08:46and tasks you can complete
08:47during your run.
08:49Doing so will grant you
08:50knowledge,
08:50which unlocks access
08:51to new starting fleets,
08:53squadrons,
08:53and more.
08:56This gameplay overview video
08:57barely scratches the depth
08:59of Scattered Hope's systems.
09:00Stay tuned for more
09:03deep dive content.
09:03Thank you.
