00:00A massive new release of Jeffrey Epstein-related files is once again shaking the public,
00:23this time reviving explosive claims involving Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates.
00:30The documents include allegations strongly denied by Gates involving personal conduct,
00:36health claims, and Epstein's alleged attempts to pressure some of the world's most powerful figures.
00:42Here's what's in the files and what's being disputed.
00:46On Friday, the U.S. Justice Department released more than three million pages of documents,
00:52along with thousands of videos and images tied to its investigation into Jeffrey Epstein.
00:58Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche said the release follows months of review and redaction aimed at protecting the identities of more than 1,000 alleged victims.
01:09Officials say this marks the end of one of the most extensive document disclosures in the Epstein case to date.
01:16Among the newly released materials are draft emails attributed to Epstein that focus heavily on Bill Gates.
01:23The emails include unverified claims accusing Gates of attempting to conceal an alleged sexually transmitted disease from his then-wife, Melinda French Gates,
01:34following alleged encounters with women described as Russian girls.
01:38The drafts appear to have been written by Epstein posing as Gates' longtime science advisor, Boris Nikolic.
01:47In the drafts, Epstein alleges involvement in actions ranging from facilitating personal encounters to allegedly helping Gates obtain medication—claims that are not supported by independent evidence.
02:00One draft accuses Gates of requesting antibiotics be provided secretly and asks for deletion of emails referencing the alleged condition.
02:09Another warns that a public divorce could cause financial damage to philanthropic pledges.
02:15The documents also revisit earlier reports that Epstein threatened to expose Gates' alleged affair with a Russian bridge player in 2017,
02:25after Gates reportedly declined to participate in a charitable fund Epstein was promoting.
02:31These claims have circulated before, but are now resurfacing within the newly released records.
02:37A spokesperson for Bill Gates strongly rejected the allegations, calling them absolutely absurd and completely false.
02:45The spokesperson said the documents instead show Epstein's frustration at failing to maintain a relationship with Gates,
02:52and accused Epstein of attempting to entrap and defame him.
02:56Previous Epstein document releases have revealed ties to numerous powerful figures, including politicians, business leaders, academics, and celebrities.
03:06Gates and Melinda French Gates divorced in 2021.
03:10Melinda has said that Gates' extramarital affairs and his association with Epstein contributed to the separation, though she has not elaborated publicly.
03:20Jeffrey Epstein died in a New York jail in 2019 while awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges involving underage girls.
03:29His death was ruled a suicide.
03:32As more documents are reviewed, the Epstein case continues to raise difficult questions,
03:37not just about Epstein himself, but about the powerful circles he moved within.
03:42We'll continue to follow developments as they emerge.
