05:23And about a year before coming here, I lost my drag sister to depression.
05:33And she harbored a lot of darkness.
05:39And for people who are trans or on a journey of figuring that out, the country has not
05:47made itself a very safe place for those people.
05:50And to get the call that I lost my sister was so hard.
05:55And, like, one of the hardest things about that whole process was, um, I was asked to put
06:03her in makeup so she could be buried how she wanted to be seen by the world.
06:09And she was fierce.
06:14She was always fierce.
06:16And I wish that I could have reminded her how special she was more often.
06:22Well, I'm sure you made her proud today, sister.
06:24And I think you did her justice today.
06:26And thank you for sharing that with all of us.
06:28Because I think it's a reminder that we forget that we all need some time, truly.
