In this video I share a brief possible future nod to The Addams Family series of films present in 1985 time travel comedy Back To The Future. Actor Christopher Lloyd played Doc Brown of this, inventor of the Delorean time machine. Lloyd later played Uncle Fester in The Addams Family in 1991 & Addams Family Values in 1993.

Shortly after the opening Marty McFly travels back in time from Hill Valley 1985 to 1955. He goes into Lou's Cafe at around 36 minutes 41 seconds into the movie. There, we are introduced to younger version of Marty's future father George & later a younger version of Biff and his gang (including a character played by Billy Zane). Marty later looks up the address of Doc Brown and here I thought there may be one of two possible homophone based references (based on the root ADD - ADDITION & ADDAMS) to The Addams Family:
- In the scene at around 37 minutes 5 seconds Marty is trying to call Doc Brown's number (with no success). His wristwatch is clearly shown (and is a digital calculator type made by Casio capable of multiplication, division, subtraction AND ADDITION).
- Later Marty has an interesting exchange with Cafe owner, Lou. After asking where the location of Doc Brown's address is, Lou becomes agitated and asks Marty: "Are you going to order something kid?" To which Marty responds: "Gimme A Tab." The request is misconstrued by Lou who thinks he wants to start a running bill, but I think Marty was asking for a diet TAB soda (not introduced until 1963). Lou replies: "I can't give you a tab unless you order something." To which Marty requests a Pepsi Free (not introduced until 1982). Lou responds: "If you want a Pepsi you have to pay for it".
This dialogue also I think hints at the concept of mathematics, addition or possibly valuation - perhaps an (unintentional??) future hint to The Addams Family.

00:00We're talking about knowledge of the future in movies, YouTube channel, Easter Egg Psychic,
00:06quick possible future predictive Easter Egg reference to The Addams Family,
00:11and you can see this in the 1985 science fiction comedy Back to the Future.
00:18This starred Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd, Leah Thompson, Crispin Glover, Thomas F. Wilson.
00:24Christopher Lloyd, who played Doc Brown in this, was later Uncle Fester in the two Addams Family
00:29movies in the 1990s.
00:32The 1991 adaptation of this supernatural comedy TV series was directed by Barry Sonnenfeld
00:39with Angelica Houston, Raoul Julia, Christina Ricci, Jimmy Workman, and Carol Stoykin.
00:47Now, earlier on in the film, where Marty McFly goes into Lou's Diner,
00:52he's just traveled back in time from the present 1985 to 1955.
00:58You can see this at 36 minutes, 41 seconds.
01:02So here we're introduced to both a younger George McFly played by Crispin Glover,
01:07and we are introduced to a younger version of Biff Tannen.
01:12There's some others in this scene, including a cameo by Billy Zane.
01:17But I thought about this part of the movie, and right off the top of my head,
01:20I could think of two references to The Addams Family.
01:23This deals with a possible wordplay.
01:26We're talking about a homophone-based reference.
01:30There are two words with basically the same pronunciation, but perhaps different meanings.
01:36At around 37 minutes, 5 seconds, Marty looks up the phone number and address of Doc Brown in the phone booth.
01:44Now, interestingly here, Marty's wristwatch is clearly visible.
01:48This happens to be a Casio digital calculator watch, the CA53W, which can do division, multiplication, subtraction, and addition.
02:01When Marty fails to get him on the phone, he goes back to Lou behind the counter
02:06and asks him if he knows where Doc Brown's address is located,
02:13to which the frustrated Lou replies,
02:16You gonna order something, kid?
02:18And then Marty responds,
02:19Sure, give me a tab.
02:21This response is misconstrued.
02:24I think Marty could have been trying to request a tab diet cola,
02:29but this, of course, was not introduced until the year 1963.
02:35So, Lou thinks that he's requesting a running list of customer orders,
02:40which is also called a tab, and this is common in bars and restaurants.
02:45Lou retorts,
02:46I can't give you the tab unless you order something.
02:48Marty then asks for a Pepsi free.
02:51This was not introduced until 1982.
02:54So, again, the confused Lou answers,
02:58If you want a Pepsi, you gotta pay for it.
03:00This dialogue also, I think, the tab, etc.,
03:04could also be based on the concept of addition.
03:08I thought this may be a reference to the Addams Family.
03:10My YouTube channel is Easter Egg Psychic.
03:12There I go back.
03:13I look at movies and television from the past.
03:16I analyze these for possible references to future media.
03:18These may appear in the form of anecdotes, idioms, anagrams.
03:24Hidden in the subtext of the work in question,
03:26I also use an unconventional method
03:28where I look at the likenesses of the actors.
03:33What I found is you can take the likenesses,
03:36match these up to some of the anecdotal items,
03:38and show past, present, and future information about actors
03:42and other personalities
03:44that may resemble the personalities
03:46in the movie or television episode
03:48that you're watching.
