00:00So finally, we end on a good note. No scandals, no bad stories. A good story to end on this Friday. I like that. New phone number out for folks who have gambling issues. How is this different, Sam, than some of the numbers that we've seen before these, I guess we'd call them 1-800-GET-HELP numbers?
00:16Yeah, the new number is 1-800-MY-RESET, and it's from the National Council on Problem Gambling. This is the number you hear in pretty much anything that mentions sports betting and advertising. This is the new number. It'll direct you to one of their 28 call centers nationwide where you can get help if you need it.
00:36And the change comes because the old number 1-800-GAMBLER, which is now retired for all intents and purposes, was actually owned by the New Jersey Council on Compulsive Gambling.
00:46That council had an agreement with the National Council on Problem Gambling that expired because they own that number, the National Council on Problem Gambling, no longer able to use it.
00:56So they thought it was really important to switch to another number where you could actually were easier to remember.
01:01They had been using 1-800-522-4700, but if you're thinking about getting help and you have a serious gambling problem or you even think you might have a problem, it's a lot easier to remember my RESET than it is to remember 522-4700.
01:16I have it written down here, and it's even hard for me to say. So a big step for the National Council on Problem Gambling, just kind of tweaking, creating a new number you can really remember.
01:25Again, obviously, it comes at a really important time with the Super Bowl coming up. We love to have fun with sports betting and talk about sports through this lens and all the fun things that are going on.
01:35But it is also really important to remember that we need to make sure help is out there for people who need it, that the resources are available, and that we talk about it when these kind of things happen.
01:45So I would encourage anyone who does have a problem or think they have a problem to call 1-800-MY-RESET. Again, that's the new number replacing the gambling number, which was changed because of just kind of business political reasons.
01:56So, yeah, that's the new number.
