00:00I'm here in Shanghai where Keir Starmer is at the end of his three-day tour of China.
00:06He had a three-hour meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping
00:10where they discussed trade, security and the economy for more than almost double the time
00:18allotted for the main section of those meetings,
00:21a sign for Keir Starmer's advisers that things went quite well.
00:25The question, I suppose, for the Prime Minister is how long it's going to take
00:30for his gains here to come to fruition.
00:33He's boasting things like lower tariffs on whisky.
00:37He has got visa-free access for Britons travelling to China.
00:42But in terms of other tangibles, business deals, investments in Britain,
00:46that is going to come down the track years away.
00:49But for a Prime Minister who perhaps is running out of time in office,
00:53he perhaps may need those sort of end results to happen a little sooner.
00:58The other big question mark over this trip, of course, Donald Trump.
01:02What do you think about the UK getting into business with China?
01:05Keir Starmer was in Beijing.
01:06Well, it's very dangerous for them to do that.
01:09And it's even more dangerous, I think, for Canada to get into business with China.
