This incident took place February 5, 2024 at gate E1 when police responded to a "disorderly customer."

Lezlie Hernandez Zapata appeared to have trouble understanding English and was angry because she couldn't get a wheelchair. Spirit Airlines told police Zapata would be denied boarding due her behavior so ATL officers escorted her back to the terminal. As the officer tried to get her into the vehicle Zapata then ran and dodged the officers who quickly chased after and tackled her.

Zapata was then transported to the airport precinct where she continued her disruptive behavior, spitting on multiple officers, urinating on herself and removing her clothes. Officers reached a translator but Zapata was more irritated about her $500 nails and her shoes. You can hear her saying she is a Colombia/El Salvador citizen and demands for her President.

She was eventually cleared by EMS and transported to the Clayton County Jail.
