00:00Hi, everyone. Same process as before, please. We'll start with questions from English media
00:10followed by any questions from Turkish media. We'll take a share of answer questions.
00:14We'll start with Martin.
00:18Hi, Jeremy. How important is it that you get in the top eight tomorrow night and avoid
00:23a play-off like you had last season?
00:25Very important. I think if you're in the top eight, obviously you don't play two games.
00:31With the amount of games that we have now, two games less is good for us. We just want
00:39to win this game and control everything that we have in our hands and see where it brings
00:45us.
00:46It was a very difficult night for the club in Norway. You obviously missed that one through
00:50injury. Could you tell us what happened there after the derby, what your injury was?
00:56Yeah. Obviously, I got a knock on my knee and that prevented me to play against Norway because
01:05I was still in pain. That was the reason I didn't play, but I feel good now.
01:11Just regarding the injury, it was obviously a challenge from Dalot. How did you feel about
01:19it? It looked pretty X-rated, let's put it that way at the time.
01:22Yeah, no, I saw the images as well. Yeah, what can I say? I can only say that I continued
01:29to play, but afterwards, the game, I guess, no, it was painful to play, so I didn't. I think
01:37you guys know my feeling about it. As a sort of, you know, you're all top professionals,
01:42you know, proper players. There are certain challenges which maybe aren't, you know, nice.
01:49You know, how does it make you feel when that happens when another sort of top pro does that?
01:51Because, you know, you could be out for a very long time.
01:55I could have, but, yeah, look, that happened. It's like, that happened. I didn't play, I guess,
02:04in Norway and that's it. Like, I don't want to get too much into it because it's a pass now.
02:11For instance, Dalot, I didn't get injured badly and that I'm able to play now, so that's the only thing
02:16where I can focus on that.
02:17Hi, Jeremy. Just speaking more generally on tackles and how you come up against markers and
02:24things like that, there was obviously a challenge on Saturday that people were talking about after,
02:30where you got scrapes down the back of the leg. Do you think you get enough, or do you think wingers
02:37and fast attackers get enough protection from the laws of the game or the referees at the moment?
02:43I don't know in general. I can just say about that tackle, obviously, that was painful.
02:49I didn't ask the ref why he didn't give another card. I just know that it was painful.
02:56Just knowing myself and my character, I know that I'm not a diver. So if I fall on the ground,
03:01it's probably because something happened at the end of the day, in terms of laws, in terms of,
03:07I don't know. I just know that when I'm on the ground, I'm not diving. So then it's
03:13their responsibility to see if this is a yellow, a red, a foul or not a foul. That's their job.
03:22How many times a week do you think you get a really heavy knock from a tackle?
03:29In games, you mean? Yeah. How many times?
03:32Just sort of on average?
03:33Good question.
03:40You know, that's a good question. I would say a week, if there are two games in a week, I would say
03:46most of the time, at least one in a game. At least one in a game where I feel like, oh,
03:50this is a strong tackle. This is a heavy, heavy confrontation. So I would say once a game.
03:57Hi, Jeremy. How nice was it to see Arsenal lose?
04:06It's difficult to say because it's not that I find joy. I didn't watch the game, honestly. I didn't
04:13watch the game. But yeah, I saw that they lost. But I knew there are a lot of games in this competition.
04:19And I knew that United, we lost against them, but they played very well. They played very well.
04:24We were not at our best as well. But there are a lot of games and we just need to focus on ourselves.
04:32We need to do our job. And then we still play against them as well. So a lot of things will happen.
04:38So yeah, I wasn't really focused on that. But obviously, if they lose, it's better for us, for sure.
04:43How much will it potentially help you in this title race if you're able to get into the top
04:48eight in this competition and avoid those extra two matches?
04:51I feel a lot. I feel it will help us a lot. Less games means also more rest. More rest means
04:58hopefully less injuries as well, because we have quite a bit of injuries now. And I feel like if we
05:06can avoid those two games, it will be beneficial for us to rest a bit more. So yeah, that will help us.
05:12Hi, Jeremy. When you go on the pitch now compared to before you joined City, what kind of things are in
05:20your head? Has it changed a lot over the last three years, the kind of things you have to do?
05:25Or is it very similar to how you've always done it? It depends game by game. When I go on the pitch,
05:34if I play against a team, I'm just thinking of my task, what I need to do. And just to
05:41also be confident when I go on the pitch to be confident and to just think about my qualities and
05:48what I want to do in that game, who I'm going to play against my opponent. And I'm just more focused
05:53on that. So that doesn't really change a lot. No, just more about, oh, tactical. Okay,
05:59what does the coach demand for me? And then that's it. Then I just focus on myself and what I want to do.
06:03And when you're in that position to cross and you're looking up and you know Erling's pretty much
06:09always making the back post run and you may have players coming to the front post, is that
06:15is that basically the plan all the time? You know Erling's always going to be back post. Would you
06:20prefer him to maybe come near post or is everything drilled and that's how it is? When you're looking
06:27for those targets, is that what you know is going to be the case? No, I feel like
06:31it's difficult to say this is how it's going to happen. We prepare, you can prepare something and
06:37then in the game, the free space is somewhere else. So when I'm in that position, I always keep my
06:45head up and try to look for the right player to pass to. And sometimes he's second post, sometimes
06:54his first post, sometimes his, I remember I guess Dorkmund, he was more on 16 yard when I passed
07:01him. So it depends. I feel like it's not something, obviously there's a conversation for sure,
07:06but there's not something that is, it's always like this. No, it changes. It depends also on the
07:13opponent and we adapt. Thanks.
07:22Hi Jeremy, just on the sort of the treatment that you get in, in games, what is more frustrating to you
07:27as a, as a winger, the fouls that you pick up or when people think that you're diving?
07:34For me, fouls is fine as long, obviously, if I don't get injured, but fouls is fine because it
07:40shows that, I see that as a compliment that they can't take the ball. It's more something like that.
07:45But for me, it's more the diving thing. When I don't get a foul, I'm not diving. That's sometimes
07:50frustrating because I know, I know my character, you know, if I fall on the ground, it's because
07:55something happened or I wouldn't fall on the ground. Like sometimes even the players tell me
08:00fall more on the ground, you know? So yeah, that's for me more frustrating for sure.
08:06And can I just ask as well, you seem to be playing more inside this season at times.
08:11Is that something that you've been working on and are you enjoying that?
08:16Yeah, I'm enjoying it. I feel like it's more unpredictable and gives me more options as well.
08:23So I can play on the inside, I can play on the outside and yeah, it changes my game as well.
08:28And I feel like if I can grow it there, if I can grow there as well, it will be beneficial for me.
08:34So yeah.
08:37Take some questions from Turkish media.
08:39Anything, guys?
08:41Yeah, sure. Thank you.
08:46Hi, Jeremy.
08:47Hi.
08:47In your first season in Manchester City, you started in the 46% of the games.
08:55In your second season, you started in the starting 11, 60% of the games.
09:00And this is your third season. And I see that you started in the starting 11, 69% of the games.
09:09Can we say that this season will be your prime season in Manchester City?
09:14My prime season? Let's see at the end of the season.
09:18I can just say that I always try to grow and always try to become better.
09:21So we're just at the half of the season. But I feel like I've been doing better.
09:28And let's see where it brings. But I believe that this season will be better than the previous two, for sure.
09:35OK, so we'll leave it there. Thank you very much.
