00:00So, through the new rule that we are currently doing in section 6, the rule will not only be bought by selling but also by selling.
00:14The government will introduce new regulations under the Control of Supplies Act 1961
00:40to prohibit the purchase of subsidized RON95 petrol for foreign-registered vehicles, effective April 1, the Dewan Rakyat was told today.
00:49Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Arminzan Muhammad Ali said that under existing regulations such as Regulation 12A of the Control of Supplies Regulations 1974,
01:01prohibition is only limited to the sale of RON95 petrol for foreign-registered vehicles.
01:06He said this means that legal action can only be taken against the fuel station operator, not the purchases of the subsidized fuel for foreign-registered vehicles.
01:18Arminzan was responding to Kalabakan MP Andi Suryadi Bandi, who asked about additional monitoring measures to address the ongoing leakages of RON95 despite the introduction of the Budi95 scheme.
01:30Arminzan said the ministry would rely on data analytics of sales and purchase records for both RON95 and diesel at fuel stations along the borders to identify trends of repeated purchases using MyCards.
