00:00You know the old cat adage, if I fits, I sits?
00:04While 99% of the time it's very cute to witness, about 1% ends up in a police rescue.
00:10In West Manatee County, Florida, police officers and firefighters joined forces to rescue a
00:16kitten that was trapped inside a concrete wall.
00:19The wall in question was made of stacked cinder blocks, which left small openings in between
00:24them, small enough for a curious cat to try and fit into, but apparently too small to
00:29get out of.
00:30Emergency crews were called and footage shows a fireman trying to get the kitten out by
00:34hand before breaking the wall open with a shovel.
00:38According to SWNS, a representative for Manatee County Sheriff's Department said the kitten
00:43was there long enough that its owners were trying to get it out.
00:47It's not certain how long the kitten had been stuck in the wall, but it had become very distressed.
00:52Luckily, the rescue effort only took a little over an hour.
00:56While you can hear one of the fire rescue crew saying that the kitten seems happy as a joke,
01:01it's clear that the kitten was pretty angry and shaken up, but all's well that ends well,
01:06the cat was fine and was returned to its owners safe and sound.
