00:00Treasury Secretary Scott Benson, Scott Benson says that you walked back your comments on Davos in a conversation with Mr. Trump.
00:09Is that the case, Prime Minister?
00:10As I said, well, first off, the President called me yesterday.
00:14We had a very good conversation on a wide range of subjects, ranging from situation in Ukraine, Venezuela, Arctic security.
00:24Yesterday, we discussed as well what Canada is doing positively, and this is the context of our discussion, what Canada is doing positively to build new partnerships around the world.
00:42I explained to him our arrangement with China.
00:45I explained to him what we're doing, 12 new deals on four continents in six months.
00:50He was impressed.
00:51And what we intend to do going forward.
00:53As well as the opportunity to, of course, move forward on Kuzma.
00:59You will note that Minister LeBlanc had discussions with one of his counterparts in the last 36 hours about some of the modalities and things on the way forward.
01:09But to be absolutely clear, and I said this to the President, I meant what I said in Davos.
01:16It was clear, it was a broader set of issues, that Canada was the first country to understand the change in U.S. trade policy that he had initiated, and we're responding to that.
01:28We're responding positively by building partnerships abroad.
01:31We're responding positively by building at home.
01:33And we're prepared to respond positively by building that new relationship through Kuzma.
01:39He understood that, and it was a good conversation.
01:40Thank you, sir.
01:41Thank you, sir.
01:47Thank you, sir.
