00:08have once again warned major e-commerce platforms against the illegal online sale of fertilizers and pesticides.
00:15The warning was reiterated during a meeting between the CICC, FPA, and representatives of the e-commerce platforms
00:23following a 24-hour operation in Quezon City.
00:26Authorities arrested four unregistered sellers and confiscated over 270 illegal products
00:33with an estimated value of 175,000 pesos.
00:38The CICC and FPA emphasized that the mishandling of these chemicals during delivery poses a serious danger to public health.
00:47They clarified that no sellers are exempted from the ban,
00:50stressing that even registered physical dealers are prohibited from selling the products on online marketplaces.
00:59The agencies also urged online platforms to utilize technology,
01:03such as artificial intelligence, to automatically block sellers of fertilizers and pesticides.
