Joachim von Ribbentrop, then the German Ambassador to Great Britain, presents Nazi Germany’s so-called “peace plan” for Europe.
Speaking on behalf of Hitler, he claims that the proposal represents “99% of the German nation” and calls for a new European order built on “equality, sovereignty, and peace.”
Behind the diplomatic language of unity and cooperation was a strategic effort to reshape Europe under German leadership — only months after the remilitarization of the Rhineland and three years before the Second World War began.
This speech is an example of Nazi foreign policy before open aggression, framed as a peaceful vision for the continent.
