01:44And one of the things that doesn't come across in the film, when they saw this thing, they're looking like, what are we looking at here?
01:50They're walking through this field and it's up against a cinder block wall.

01:56And it was crouched by the wall.

01:59And one of them kind of like screeched.

02:03And it turned and it looked right at the girls, locked eyes on them.

02:18She's frozen in her tracks, locked eyes with this creature and is communicating with her.

02:40And I asked Katya and I asked all the girls, during that moment of contact, when you lock eyes, I know it's only a brief second.

02:51That's where the title comes from, moment of contact, because that was when they locked eyes on this creature.

03:07It's the first time I'd ever reported on these so-called, like, men in dark suits that show up and intimidate witnesses.

03:47You can hear the mother talking about it and she's so emotional.
03:49And the mother came back to the location where it happened, the smell, that stench, and the footprint on the ground.

04:40And even the mother said when she went to where the creature was, she said that the stench, even there, after the creature was gone, got in her nasal cavities.

08:32When I found Martha, the sister of the deceased military officer, Marco Chirizzi.

08:40I remember the sound guy from, from Rio de Janeiro.
08:43He was like, you're out of your mind.
08:44What are you doing?
08:45Can't just knock on random doors.
08:47I was like, man, if there's a will, there's a way I'm going to find this lady.
08:50And we found her.
08:52And it was like this kind of, kind of sketchy area.
08:55You know, it's like when you, when you get out of your car and you could see like people drawing the curtains back and looking at you and you're standing out.
09:02Like, dude, I still like a sore thumb, man.
09:05And then we walked up and I had Marco with me.
09:07Thank God.
09:08And we had camera crews and stuff.
09:09It's kind of sketchy.
09:11And, uh, Marta appears and her husband appears in this big, he's a big guy.
09:16And he's got like a white beater shirt on and he looks like he wants to rip my fucking head off.
09:22And I'm like, and she's looking at me and he's just looking at her going, Marta's looking, Marta's looking at her husband and her husband's looking at Marta.
09:30Like, give me the signal.
09:30I'll kill this guy.
09:31That's the fucking, and I was looking at Marco and I was like, James, you need to think quick, think quick on your feet right now.
09:37And I said immediately, please translate this.

09:46And we developed a relationship with her slowly over that.
09:49And those are the first words that we exchanged.
09:50And we eventually got her to come forward and we talked.
09:53She'd gone forward in the past, but she doesn't know who the hell I am.

09:59When you talked to the doctor, what did you describe?
10:01He said that it was a normal day, January 1996, it was a regional hospital.
10:08Every day, and all of a sudden, all these military trucks and police cars showed up at the hospital.
10:14They come in, armed, and they got a bag.
10:18They got a thing in a black body bag.
10:21And he was like, what the hell's going on here?
10:24They're all, you're going to be taking some x-rays.
10:26And he's like, okay.
10:27And they had him inside, and they had armed groups.
10:32And I was asking him, like, what was it like?
10:33Because when I interview witnesses, I always want them, I always ask them to project.
10:39Like, sometimes I'll even close my eyes because I'll use their words to recreate.
10:43So I'm, like, living it through them.
10:45You know what I mean?
10:46So I'll close my eyes, and I'll recreate the scenes in my head with their words, right?

10:57But I ask questions like, what was the atmosphere like?

11:11And he said, first time in the history of my career, I took the x-rays, and I couldn't even verify that they were good because they took them immediately.
11:20And then they said, this event never happened.
11:22He said, the stench in the hospital was overwhelming.
11:25And he goes through the different x-rays that he took, the abdomen, the head, the arms, the legs, the thorax, you know.
11:36And it was incredible.
11:39In fact, Uber Ejata Rodriguez, if you're listening to this, he's one of the leading researchers.

12:24forward and make statements, and they're providing documentation of the autopsy reports done on
12:29the deceased military officer.
12:31That's the first time ever these guys are coming forward.

12:35Let's explain what happened to people who haven't watched the documentary to the deceased
12:38military officer.
12:39Yeah.
12:39So right after the three girls came within eight to ten feet of this creature or being
12:47or entity or ET, whatever you want to call it, about an hour later, when I was about
12:51three o'clock in the afternoon, I would say probably maybe around five o'clock, there were
12:55two military guys on patrol on the lookout for something unusual is what they were told.
13:00They didn't say a UFO had crashed.
13:02They were on the lookout for something highly unusual.
13:04And it was Eric Lopes at the wheel and Marco Charizzi, military police, in the passenger
13:09seat.
13:10They were about a block and a half to two blocks away from where the girls had seen the
13:14creature a couple of hours earlier.
13:16And this thing runs across the car in front of them.
13:20He had slammed his brakes on.
13:21And without a moment's hesitation, Marco Charizzi jumps out of the car and grabs the thing
13:26with his bare hands.
13:28Yeah.
13:29And he puts it in the back seat and they drive it to a clinic.
13:32And the doctor is like, what the hell is that?
13:34Get it out of here.
13:35I don't know what, you know, leave.
13:36So they went to regional hospital.
13:38And then ultimately it went to Humanitas Hospital.
13:41And so we have testimony from Military X that when he drove it from Humanitas Hospital,
13:47it's in the movie, but he drove it from Humanitas Hospital to, uh, as a military base where
13:52it spent the night in the truck for one night.
13:54And then it went from there to Esposix Campinas.
13:56It's like a university.
13:57It's where all the intellectual scientific heavyweights reside.
14:01And then it was there, I think, under examination, according to the witnesses that we talked to
14:05for a day or two.
14:06And that's when the Americans flew in to Campinas.
14:09And we have the radar military control officer who came forward last year, actually two years
14:15ago when we were there filming for the last time.
14:17His name is Marco Fetes, F-E-R-E-S.
14:20And he came forward for the first time and said, yeah, in January of 1996, this plane
14:25came in.
14:26USAF, he kept calling it, United States Air Force, came in.
14:29It didn't have the authorization of the Brazilian government.
14:32He was like, this thing can't land.
14:34And some higher up stepped into the room.
14:35This is all, this is his testimony.
14:37I'm just relaying what he said.
14:39He said some higher up came in the room and said, let it land.
14:41And it came and it landed at Campinas.
14:43And then from Campinas, two helicopters, according to him, flew to Virginia, Brazil, Virginia back
14:49to Campinas.
14:50Then they loaded us up and on the airplane and then off to the United States.
14:53And that's where the case goes called.
