00:01A 41-year-old woman who died after a car crashed into a tree in O'Malley yesterday
00:08is the third road death in Canberra this year.
00:12The reports indicated that a grey SUV travelling south on Yamba Drive
00:17had left the roadway and collided with a tree.
00:21On arrival, police found a 41-year-old female, the passenger in the SUV, had sadly died as a result of the collision.
00:34The 30-year-old driver, a male, was taken to Canberra Hospital with serious injuries.
00:40The collision is currently being investigated by ACT Road Policing Major Collision Team
00:47and they were looking to the circumstances of how the collision occurred.
00:52At the time of the collision, a number of members of the public stopped to help the driver and the passenger
00:58and have provided police with a number of accounts of what has happened and witness reports.
01:05Police are asking for any witnesses to the collision who haven't already been spoken to by police
