00:00Welcome back to another Vanaways van review. Today we are checking out something a little
00:05bit different from the usual diesel powered vans. We are looking at the Farazen SV all-electric van,
00:11a 100% battery powered commercial vehicle that's been engineered from the ground up
00:16to redefine what an EV can do for a UK business. With zero emissions, rapid charge, class leading
00:23payload and range features, this could be a serious contender for fleets looking to electrify.
00:28Let's dive in and see what makes the Farazen stand out.
00:41Under the van's sheet metal is a 170kW, 231PS electric motor, delivering 336 Nm of torque,
00:51all sent to the front wheels, giving punchy and immediate power delivery compared with
00:56traditional diesel rivals. The Farazen fits multiple battery options, a 67, 83 or 106kWh,
01:06meaning you can spec the van to your route needs. WLTP rated range goes up to 247 miles combined
01:13and up to 342 miles in city conditions on some batteries. Fast charging capability means you can
01:21go from 20% to 80% in around 36 minutes, keeping downtime to a minimum. With no traditional engine
01:29to service, electric drive means simpler maintenance and quieter, smoother throttle response over day-to-day
01:36driving. The Farazen SV lineup offers five different size configurations from L1, H1 up to L3, H3, growing in both
01:47length and height. That translates to load volume up to around 13 cubic meters and payloads up to about
01:541,350 kilograms, figures that stand up well against established competitors. A notably low loading height,
02:02around 550 millimeters, makes heavy items easier to load and unload, reducing strain on the driver and
02:10speeding up repetitive tasks. Around the back and inside the SV's cargo area, you'll find a practical
02:17square load bay that suits bulky or odd shaped loads, pre-installed anchor points and easy access doors
02:24for racking or secure cargo setups. Optional 270 degree rear door swing improves access in tight depots and bays.
02:33Overall, the space feels impressively usable and the extra low floor makes everyday work noticeably easier.
02:42Stepping inside the Farazen, it's immediately clear that this isn't your typical work van. The cabin feels
02:48really modern, well thought out and very driver focused. Front and centre is a large 12.3 inch floating
02:55touchscreen, handling navigation, media, connectivity and it's complemented by a 7 inch digital driver
03:04display that keeps all of your key driving information clear and easy to read at a glance.
03:11Smartphone integration comes as standard with Apple Play and Android Auto, meaning all of your calls,
03:17music, navigation are seamlessly built into the system. On higher trims, you also get heated seats
03:24and heated multi-function steering wheel which is a real bonus for those early starts or the long
03:30winter shifts. So what's especially nice about the Farazen is that it hasn't gone fully touchscreen only
03:37yet. You still get physical buttons alongside the screen so adjusting key features on the move is quick
03:45and intuitive without having to take your eyes off the road. Overall, the Farazen's interior feels closer to
03:52a premium passenger EV than a traditional commercial vehicle and that's a big step forward for electric
03:58vans in this class. From behind the wheel, everything in the Farazen feels designed around making long days
04:04easier. The controls are laid out logically and frequently used functions are placed exactly where
04:09you'd expect them, helping reduce distraction and driver fatigue. Intelligent cruise control takes the
04:16strain out of motorway driving while forward collision warnings and cross-traffic alert systems add an
04:22extra layer of safety when navigating busy roads or tight environments. One standout feature is the
04:29real-time payload monitoring system which shows you exactly how much weight you're carrying and is a
04:35huge benefit for staying legal, safe and efficient throughout the working day. Combined with a suite of
04:41advanced driver assistance systems, the Farazen feels confident and reassuring to drive. Whether you're
04:47covering long distances or tackling stop-start city routes, it's a setup that genuinely supports the
04:54driver rather than just ticking a technology box. So up front we have an impressive amount of storage,
05:00we've got some down here, here and some cup holders in here as well. We also have the glove box so there's a
05:12little bit in there and again the same on the passenger side door, some little storage holes here.
05:19Here are Vanaway's top features of the Farazen SV electric van. Class leading electric range and fast
05:26charging up to 247 miles and quick top-ups in under 40 minutes. Modular sizes and serious payload up to 13
05:35cubic meters and 1350 kilogram payload. Electric performance, feeling more car-like, quiet, smooth
05:44and responsive torque. Modern cabin tech and comfort features, big screens, heater controls, connectivity.
05:52Advanced safety and driver assistance, including Euro NCAP rated safety systems. To sum up, the
05:58Farazen SV is a serious step forward for electric vans in the UK. It offers zero emission performance
06:04without compromise, marrying real range and payload figures with a quality feel interior and useful tech.
06:11For businesses wanting to electrify without losing practicality, the Farazen deserves a close look.
