00:00Over the last two years, the Joel Embiid discussions and injuries and all that have become exhausting.
00:06It's exhausting because he's always hurt.
00:09That's what I'm talking about.
00:10When he's been on the court, he's been very good.
00:12I don't think anyone has ever debated him.
00:15Not every single time, but you have to understand, you know what?
00:16A lot of people blast him for a lot of different things, especially being on the court injured.
00:22You know what? He tried playing through injuries. How did that go?
00:24It was very obvious when he was on the court, couldn't run up and down the court,
00:28but he was still out there trying to give everything he had for the city.
00:31When he fought through his knee injury in that Knicks series, he was playing on one leg,
00:36and he still averaged the most points of any player in that postseason.
00:39Because he was the most important player on the team.
00:41But again, just like the Jalen Hurts discussion, I don't think the Joel Embiid discussion has to be this bright line
00:47where either you love Joel or you hate Joel.
00:49I think you can acknowledge that he's an amazing basketball player, and you can be a fan of him,
00:54and you can appreciate the fact that he has tried to fight through injuries,
00:57and at the same time admit it has been exhausting over the last two years.
01:01It has been. Well, I mean, when a guy's in, out, you don't know whether he's playing or not.
01:05Well, he's rehabbing the knee. You know what? He's making progress.
01:09He says, I don't give a you-know-what. Just get him on the court.
01:13That's all you wanted to see. That's all Philadelphia 76ers fans want to see,
01:17is this guy play every single night.
01:19I got to tell you, I know you look at the triple-double,
01:22but me, the first thing I looked at was the minutes.
01:2546 minutes last night. I would say he's 100%.
01:29And he picks up the assist on the last maxi jam that puts him at the triple-double.
01:34I know, but I don't care about the triple-double.
01:35No, I'm saying, even playing 46 minutes, he's still playing at the end of that game.
01:40Yes, and that to me says more than anything else,
01:44that he's able to go out there and play 46 minutes in a game.
01:47That's a blessing for this team right now.
