00:00Do you think of a trilateral that the U.S., Russia, and Ukraine are having in Abu Dhabi this weekend leads to a trilateral between you, Putin, and Zelensky?
00:09Look, it's all good. Anytime we meet, it's good. If you don't meet, nothing's going to happen.
00:14I mean, for the first three years, nobody met. Under Biden, nobody met.
00:20And you know one thing, if you don't meet, nothing's going to happen.
00:23So we are meeting, and we'll see what happens.
00:26I hope we can save a lot of lives.
00:29Mr. President, what kind of concessions does Vladimir Putin need to make at this point?
00:38He'll make concessions. Everybody's making concessions to get it done.
00:44Europe is going to be a part of it. It's got to be a part of it.
00:47It's more for Europe than for me. I mean, I'm doing this more for Europe than for me.
00:51I'm doing it to save lives, number one.
00:54I'm doing it secondarily for Europe.
00:57I'm not doing it so much for the Europe. It doesn't affect us very much.
01:01Other than the loss of lives, you know, we're not affected by this.
01:05You know, it's thousands of miles away. We're separated by an ocean.
01:10But I have an ability to get things done like this, and we'll see if I can get it done.
01:15I mean, we, it would never have gotten done.
01:18I thought Putin wanted the whole thing. Maybe he does, but he's not going to, he's not going to be going there.
01:24Unless we don't make a deal.
01:26But we had a good meeting today with President Zelensky. I think a very good meeting.
01:30What's the main holdup? What's the, what's the main holdup to getting a deal?
01:34The main holdup is the same things that have been holding it up for the last year.
01:40Look, this is a war. This is Biden's war. This isn't my war.
01:43This is a war that should have never happened.
01:46But it's complex because you have beats and bounds.
01:49You have, you have streets, you have rivers, you have everything, you know, win it and sit in.
01:53So it's a little bit complicated.
01:56But I've had that in five of the other wars.
01:59You know, there are beats and bounds.
02:01There are, it's a location, it's boundaries.
02:05And I got them done fast in days.
02:07And this one is just going on.
02:10And you know, what's happened here is there were times when Putin didn't want to make a deal.
02:14Times when Zelensky didn't want to make a deal.
02:17And it was like opposite times.
02:20Now I think they both want to make a deal. We'll find out.
02:23Did something change that makes you think that Putin and Zelensky now are serious about it?
02:29I don't have any predictions. There are no changes.
02:32I think that President Putin would like to make a deal.
02:36I think that President Zelensky would like to make a deal.
02:40What did Zelensky say today?
02:43I mean, he came all the way there to meet you.
02:46What did he say?
02:47He said he'd like to make a deal.
02:50I mean, you know, there's not much you can say.
02:53People know the parameters.
02:55It's not like, you know, we're discussing things that have been discussed for six or seven months.
03:00And he came and he said he wants to make a deal.
03:03Because I wasn't necessarily sure.
03:06I think he should want to make a deal.
03:08It's pretty tough.
03:09It's really tough on the people of Ukraine.
03:11I'll tell you this.
03:12I don't know.
03:13I'm sorry.
03:14I don't know.
03:16I love you.
