Within just a few months, Kia has completely repositioned itself in the compact class. Following the introduction of the EV4 and EV4 Fastback electric compact cars and the all-electric EV5 compact SUV, as well as the comprehensive redesign of the Kia Sportage, the brand is now completing its offering in this vehicle class, which is particularly popular in Germany, with the K4. This all-new hatchback model not only attracts attention with its striking, dynamic design, but also stands out among combustion engine compact cars in other respects: through its comprehensive connectivity, including AI assistant, video streaming, and Wi-Fi hotspot; through its further high-tech features, from a digital car key and head-up display to state-of-the-art driver assistance systems such as blind spot monitoring with a monitor display (each depending on the trim level); and also through its exceptionally high level of standard equipment. Standard features include a large panoramic display with digital instrument cluster and navigation screen (each 31.2 cm/12.3 inches), smart key, LED headlights, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a wide range of driver assistance systems. The spaciousness is also impressive, both in the comfortable interior and the luggage compartment. A variety of turbocharged gasoline engines are available in a total of four engine-transmission combinations: a 1.0 T-GDI (85 kW/115 hp) with a six-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT7) and a 48-volt mild hybrid system, as well as a 1.6 T-GDI in two power outputs (110 kW/132 hp or 150 hp/180 hp), both of which come standard with the DCT7. The K4 is offered in the progressively more advanced trim levels Vision, Spirit, and GT-Line and is available to order now. Prices start at €29,990 for the K4 1.0 T-GDI Vision with manual transmission. As with every Kia, the new compact car comes with Kia's 7-year manufacturer's warranty. The first units of the model, produced in Mexico, will be delivered to dealerships starting at the end of November.
