00:00One thing that came up with Suarez is that he seems like an outlier for Breslow
00:04and the guys that Breslow's targeted, high velocity, big extension like those guys.
00:10Suarez is a different kind of pitcher.
00:12Is there anything you've seen scouting pitchers or the way that the priority organizations put on pitching
00:18that you disagree with or you've seen that over time you think maybe baseball has wrong?
00:24Yeah, well, I love the Suarez signing because it shows another side of pitching, right?
00:28And it is pitching. It's not throwing.
00:30And this year coming into the 2026 season, we're going to have the ABS automated balls and strikes,
00:35which I think everybody's going to love in the first month.
00:37And then going after that, they're going to see, OK, this is starting to drain away from the time
00:42where we were trying to increase the time of games and kind of keep everybody's attention span with the pitch clock.
00:49But, you know, again, back to your question about the ideas of pitching and what direction teams go.
00:55And, yeah, I see some teams kind of get pigeonholed into one way of thinking and not, you know,
01:01kind of seeing the whole spectrum of what can be desired as a pitcher and the creativity side of pitching
01:08and also the different aspects to it, which is, you know, the multiple quadrants of the strike zone.
01:14How do guys actually make that work for them as opposed to just, you know, here's my my best fastball
01:19and here's my best breaking ball every single time?
01:22You know, it's it's more than the hammer on the nail approach sometimes and then the creativity side.
01:27But a blend of both of those is what works best at the end of the day.
01:31And on the inside of that is kind of, you know, not kind of, but getting a group of pitchers who can pull for themselves
01:38as much as they'd be pulling, you know, pull for each other as much as they'd be pulling for themselves
01:42in the situation when they're out there on the mound.
01:44That's a team.
01:45And that's what you're really actually trying to acquire and pull together.
