00:00of peace, the president of the United States of America, Donald J. Trump.
00:30Well, this is a very exciting day, long in the making, and many countries have just received
00:45their notice, and everybody wants to be a part of it.
00:49And we'll work with many others, including the United Nations.
00:54But I want to thank you all for being here.
00:56Yesterday, we had an incredibly successful visit with many of the world's top business
01:02leaders, the best, the biggest, most successful, and foreign heads of state.
01:08And now we have one of the most important meetings of all the official formation of what is known
01:15as the Board of Peace.
01:19I want to thank the Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, Special Envoy Steve Whitcoff, and Jared
01:25Kushner, and their extraordinary work.
01:28I mean, they have done an amazing job.
01:31We have peace in the Middle East.
01:32Nobody thought that was possible.
01:35We've settled eight wars, and I believe another one's coming pretty soon.
01:40You know what that is?
01:42The one that I thought was going to be an easy one.
01:44It turned out to be probably the most difficult.
01:47Last month, 29,000 people died, mostly soldiers in Ukraine and Russia.
01:54Think of that, 29,000, 27,000 in the month before, 26,000 in the month before that.
02:02It's terrible.
02:03But we have meetings, and we think we're making a lot of progress.
02:10Thanks as well to Secretary Scott Besant, Howard Lutnick, and Chris Wright, U.S. Trade Representative,
02:17Jameson Greer.
02:18They're all doing such an incredible job.
02:20Ambassador Calista Gingrich, who is here doing a fantastic, really fantastic work.
02:28Thank you, Calista, and many other members of my administration who are so committed to
02:33peace, and they're also committed to great success.
02:38Very importantly, let me recognize the very first group of distinguished members of the
02:42Board of Peace.
02:43They will be introduced by name in just a moment.
02:48Caroline will be doing that introduction.
02:53And each and every one of you, we are truly honored by your presence today, leaders of countries,
02:59and in most cases, very popular leaders, in some cases, not so popular, but that's
03:08a wonderful organization.
