00:00What are you doing at my brother's camp?
00:04Showing you our next camp.
00:06Hello!
00:09All right.
00:10Welcome to the white camp.
00:12It's very minty, fresh.
00:14You're just banging on glass, man.
00:15It's a big window. Don't let it fall.
00:17Can you guys sit down and read me a nighttime story?
00:19It is so weltering.
00:22We got a list for you.
00:24I'm not accepting lists.
00:26Hi, guys.
00:27Hi, guys.
00:29Oh, wow. Look at that.
00:30Oh, my goodness.
00:31That is incredible.
00:37What are you doing at my brother's camp?
00:39We've already done this one.
00:40Still looks great.
00:42It's a nice view across the way.
00:44Yeah. You have a telescope.
00:45What are we doing? Seriously.
00:47Showing you our next camp.
00:48Today we are at the Eldridge Camp on Covsey.
00:53See that mint green one there?
00:55Oh, yeah.
00:56That is owned by Walter White.
00:59Him and his wife bought it.
01:00She passed away.
01:01And so it's him and his cousins who come up here a lot.
01:04Because you can look pretty much across the cove.
01:06I see people.
01:07Hello!
01:09To where we're headed.
01:11Are we walking over there?
01:12We're probably going to take that boat that's right there.
01:14Perfect.
01:15It's going to either be really good or really bad,
01:17because I've been sitting at them for 50 years.
01:18Well, this is new, Chase.
01:20We got on the boat.
01:21We know where we're going.
01:21That's a first.
01:22So we're going to see how they think about us.
01:25What they think about the neighbors?
01:27Yeah, what they think about the neighbors.
01:28We're going to meet our neighbors for the first time.
01:30Do you think we'll ever reach my goal of fixing every camp on this lake?
01:33No, I don't think we will.
01:35What about our descendants?
01:36You've got to start learning a lot of history about this lake.
01:38Yeah, you did.
01:39How many camps are on the lake?
01:40So, at one point in the late 1800s, there was an inn on this side of the lake,
01:45and there was a hotel on the other side of the lake.
01:48And in the late 1800s, you would take the trolley from downtown Augustus,
01:52and then you'd take a steamship across the lake.
01:54That was the only form of transportation.
01:58And that loon layer over there is named Marty.
02:02See?
02:03You're making great tour guide.
02:06Here they come.
02:07All right.
02:08Nice landing.
02:11Like a pro.
02:13Like a pro.
02:14Hi.
02:15Hi, neighbors.
02:17A little different view from over here, right?
02:19Yes, yeah.
02:20So, it's interesting that the cabin masters have a place across the cove.
02:25We see them coming and going and, you know, wave hi once in a while.
02:29Nice to see you from this side of the lake.
02:31We're very excited to have them come and revamp this house.
02:35Tell us a little bit about the history of the camp.
02:39My wife and I purchased the camp in 2005.
02:42Katie, my cousin, came up a couple of years later with her husband, and they basically stayed with us for five summers.
02:48Nice.
02:48So, we had a great time, and then they ended up purchasing a house on the other side of the lake.
02:53Oh, no kidding.
02:54Yeah.
02:54Unfortunately, in 2015, my wife passed away.
02:57Oh, sorry to hear that.
02:59And then my other cousin, Deanna, decided, you know, she wanted to come up and check the place out, and then she fell in love with it.
03:05And so, now her family comes up, so it's a big family affair, and love boating and water skiing and waving to you guys on the other shore over there.
03:15Perfect.
03:15Wonderful.
03:16What's not to love?
03:17Yeah.
03:17Really, truly.
03:18We grew up with a lake house in New Hampshire, so for me, it was a no-brainer.
03:23My kids love it here.
03:24It just feels like home.
03:26Tell us a little bit about the camp.
03:27It needs a little work.
03:28It's getting to a point where things are starting to fail a little bit.
03:33Your AstroTurf is starting to...
03:34Yeah, well, there's a...
03:35It's mossy.
03:36Raw, yeah.
03:36Yeah, there's a big hole in the deck that we have a rug over it.
03:39That's the main way, putting another carpet over a carpet over a carpet.
03:42The side looks great on this side, I guess.
03:44I mean, it's in good shape.
03:45Other than the color.
03:46The color, yeah.
03:47I'm glad you don't like the color.
03:49I like natural wood for the most part.
03:51Not mint green, but...
03:54A color or more like a natural stain.
03:56Something that looks like it fits in, like a dark green or a brown or a natural, yeah.
04:01This side's fairly high, but the back, you can see that the property's sloped.
04:04Oh, yeah, the house, yeah.
04:05So the street side is almost on the dirt.
04:08So maybe if we could get it up off the ground like you guys do a lot.
04:11It's got a new roof on it, so that's okay.
04:13Fantastic.
04:14We'd like even more, Walter.
04:15Let's get inside and check it out.
04:16Come on in.
04:17All right.
04:21Oh, I like this.
04:22Cool.
04:22I like it.
04:24Oh, it has an awesome feel inside.
04:25It does.
04:27This camp's wearing a disguise, because the outside looks like a house, and you figure
04:30to cheat rock and cop it inside.
04:32This is a fun camp.
04:34But it's an old-school camp inside.
04:36I agree with what Ryan said.
04:38That's a first.
04:40All right, so fill us in on what you are picturing in here.
04:43So on this side of it, I would like to try to see if we can remove this wall as lovely
04:49as it is.
04:50Just give you more open space.
04:51Open, right, yeah.
04:51Instead of it chopped up.
04:53Yeah.
04:53Redo the windows on the porch.
04:56Some insulation.
04:57Make it a little more comfortable in the colder months.
04:59Sure.
05:00So you've got two entrances right now.
05:02Yep.
05:03Do you use that entrance much?
05:04So we don't use that entrance at all, because it's just not very safe right now.
05:09Kitchen cabinets?
05:10I like them.
05:13I'm not going to lie.
05:14It's okay.
05:15We can have different tastes.
05:16Just when you think you've seen it all, though.
05:17I've never seen cabinets like that.
05:19Why don't you guys take a look around?
05:20We're going to pop outside, and we'll see you a little bit.
05:22Okay.
05:22Perfect.
05:23What is wrong with you guys?
05:24You don't think they're pretty?
05:25I didn't say that.
05:26They're unique.
05:28I don't even know what you'd call it.
05:30Look, it's woven.
05:31I'd call it Ashley's now.
05:34So two bedrooms.
05:35You're going to stay in two bedrooms?
05:39Yep.
05:44Okay.
05:45The sink is right behind the door.
05:47You can't even open it all the way.
05:49This is a tiny bathroom.
05:51On the interior of the camp, we'll remove the wall that separates the front porch and the
05:54main living area to open the place up.
05:55We'll build out a hallway so that we can reconfigure the bunk bedroom for a larger bathroom, and
06:00we'll leave the second bedroom as is.
06:01What a cute little can.
06:03Did you see those dandelions growing on there?
06:04Yeah.
06:05That's not good.
06:07On the exterior, we'll Jack and Level tear off that old mint green siding and replace it
06:11with comb-faced shiplap stained brown so that it blends in better with the surroundings.
06:16New deck, new windows, and we'll get rid of the old side entrance and create a new one
06:20on the roadside of the camp for better access.
06:22Yeah.
06:22So I think we've got a really good idea of what you're looking for.
06:26What do you have for a budget for the renovations?
06:29$50,000.
06:30Okay.
06:30And what's the timeframe to get the work done?
06:33We were hoping 12 weeks.
06:35Okay.
06:36I think we just need a set of keys.
06:38Okay.
06:39I have a key.
06:40All right.
06:42We'll take it.
06:43All right.
06:44Nice to finally put a face to the camp.
06:46Yeah.
06:47And we've got to call the guys.
06:48All right.
07:00Welcome to the white camp.
07:02Sweet.
07:03Yay.
07:03Love the color.
07:05It's a very minty, fresh...
07:06Take it with you.
07:07No.
07:09Demo day at the white camp.
07:11You'll see on the front side, the deck is gonzoed.
07:15Siding is past its prime.
07:17So all siding is going to be stripped off.
07:19We need to get this backside out of the dirt.
07:21That side deck can get out of there because they want to move the doorway to that center
07:26window there.
07:27Yep.
07:27There's a wall in between the sun porch and the living area.
07:30They want to open it up, make it one big space, and go from there.
07:34Cool.
07:35Very cool.
07:35Let's do it.
07:36Yeah.
07:37I mean, we're going to just try and get all the vinyl siding peeled off.
07:40Morning.
07:41Good morning.
07:43How's it going, Dixie?
07:44Good.
07:45Keeping that?
07:46Yeah.
07:47Get as much torn out as we can.
07:50I think I have your shoes on today.
07:52Why are you wearing my shoes?
07:53I didn't mean to, but I was in my truck.
07:55I was only about three miles down the road, and I realized...
07:58It kind of looks nice like that.
08:00What is wrong with you?
08:04I'm practicing my ballerina.
08:07Good morning.
08:08What's up?
08:09You like this cabinet?
08:10I do like it.
08:12I just want the doors.
08:13So today, I made sure that I showed up to the job site on time.
08:17Have you ever seen a cabinet like this, Jedi?
08:19You haven't.
08:20Oh, I got one because I wanted to make sure that they saved those cabinet doors for me.
08:25Maybe, like, a little, like, hutch.
08:31So, originally, I was just going to kind of grab them.
08:34I have a present for you.
08:35What?
08:37And hopefully use them down the line someday.
08:40Oh!
08:41Sorry.
08:42They fell off the ladder.
08:45But as Chase was tearing off the siding, we realized there was some really cool old wood down there.
08:52It was great color.
08:53So, he said, why don't we build the hutch out of this wood?
08:56Are you going to bring it to the back 40 or to your house?
08:59Back 40.
09:00And your doors.
09:02Chase and I haven't worked on a project together in a long time.
09:05Oh!
09:11Hanging out inside, buddy?
09:12It's exactly what my dad and him used to do.
09:16So, I think it's really fun.
09:20Will you stand inside there and make sure this window doesn't fall inward?
09:24Oh, great.
09:25What are you doing?
09:26Wait, wait, wait, wait.
09:27Wait, wait, wait, wait.
09:30Oh, it's going, it's moving.
09:32Wait, I already go on the other side.
09:35Jedi.
09:37Jedi.
09:38I don't like this.
09:39You're giving me stress.
09:40You're just banging on glass, man.
09:42It's a big window.
09:42Don't let it fall.
09:44Go out!
09:50That thing is wiggling.
09:52You put the couch over here so it falls on the couch.
09:54We don't work in today.
09:56There's a lot going on.
09:57The whole thing was wiggling pretty hard, huh?
09:59Yeah.
10:00Jedi and I, I mean, we had some pretty scary stuff to work with.
10:05We got to remove those large pieces of glass so we can get this wall down and really open
10:08up the main camp and the sun porch.
10:10I could probably cut down this stud right here.
10:12Okay.
10:15Then it glued in there pretty tight and its old glass was pretty darn thick.
10:18So we decided to cut around it and take some of the trim off.
10:24Now you want to cut across the top and really try not to break it.
10:27Oh, fudger.
10:28Oh, there we go.
10:29All right, nope, we're free.
10:30Oh, there we go.
10:31Not only because it's dangerous, but because it'll also be a big mess to clean up.
10:34Okay.
10:35Let me see if I can lean it towards you just a hair.
10:37Oh, he, he, he, he, he.
10:42Uh-uh.
10:43Okay, you grab that side.
10:45Yeah.
10:45Top end, bottom.
10:46Oh, yeah.
10:47I'm going to come through the window.
10:48But somehow we took it out correctly.
10:52Glass coming through.
10:54It didn't break until it was in the dump trailer.
10:56One, two, three, four.
10:58Didn't even crash.
11:00Before the day, if I would have had to bet, we would have broken that glass.
11:02I had to put all my money on.
11:03Something's getting broken.
11:04I was going to say, I bet we couldn't do that again, but we're going to find out.
11:06We're going to have to.
11:07We saved that glass.
11:09Got the second one on the trailer, which is perfect.
11:13All in all, today's been just a great day.
11:16Ready?
11:18Yeah, baby.
11:22Beautiful.
11:23Who's got a hammer?
11:24I'm going to give that to my sister.
11:26That's so nice of you.
11:27Everyone is just getting a long day.
11:28Oh, there's some more right there.
11:30I don't know.
11:30It's like family camp day or something.
11:37It's a nice window.
11:38It is a nice door.
11:39It just warms my heart to see our crew's working so hard.
11:43I'm just taking the nails out of these boards.
11:45So that when we go to build the hutch, we'll be ready to go.
11:48And I look out, you know, all the guys.
11:50We're full motion.
11:51Everything's going on.
11:54So hot.
11:56And to see Ashley out there just in her work, working hard too, on an old project.
12:02It was a beautiful sight.
12:03I got goosebumps maybe somewhere.
12:06I itch so bad.
12:09There's brown tail all over these boards.
12:11No, we have duct tape in my truck.
12:12You should go put on that big, thick tape.
12:14It's right in the front seat.
12:15Okay.
12:17We thought we were over the brown tail moth, but there's remnants here and it's getting some of our staff.
12:22My neck is on fire.
12:24Mine is too.
12:25Oh yeah, you got it bad too.
12:27So what happens is the mosque, they started on the coast and they say three or four years and they travel.
12:31So they traveled through here like four years ago.
12:33I knew it was soon as we started.
12:35But their hairs stick around on stuff and like Ashley gets a bed.
12:38So she'll have to go get duct tape.
12:39Ashley, go get the duct tape.
12:40We'll give them a demonstration.
12:41And that's the best way to get them out.
12:43You put the duct tape on and rip it off.
12:46Rub, rub, rub, rub, rub.
12:46Rotten.
12:47It is awful.
12:51It feels like poison ivy.
12:53Oh yeah, that's a problem.
12:55That's going to take some serious duct tape.
12:56I know, you'll get it.
12:57Yes, if you get some tape.
12:58Come on, come on.
13:00And you put it on and then you rip it off.
13:02It pulls the fibers out of your skin.
13:05What sugar got?
13:07The side.
13:10Feels good.
13:11Because otherwise they just stay there and continue to irritate it.
13:14That felt good.
13:16Spring right now.
13:18We've got the black flies.
13:19We've got the brown tail.
13:21But you know what?
13:21We do have a beautiful day.
13:26Okay, now I need a new shirt.
13:28Someone's your quiet time on the porch, Ash.
13:32Yeah, you guys are disturbing my peace.
13:36It's kind of choppy in there.
13:37So they'd like us to get rid of the wall between the porch and the main living space.
13:41Hey, look.
13:42Look what's in the wall.
13:43What, a mouse?
13:44Tools.
13:46Look at that little baby tool.
13:47To kind of give it a more open feel and let more light in.
13:50Oh yeah, come on.
13:53All right.
13:55We came, we saw, we demoed.
13:57Good job, guys.
13:58Doesn't look like the same place, does it?
14:00Not at all.
14:01And the best thing is you've got a job site fridge.
14:03We're getting smarter.
14:04It only took us eight years to realize.
14:06Keep it all lit and save the fridge.
14:08Getting the wall out of that front room from the porch to the kitchen area is just huge.
14:12Making that all one space doubles it in size.
14:14Dixie and I got into the brown tail today.
14:19Some of us are taking it better than others.
14:24What's next?
14:25Start underneath.
14:26Repost it.
14:27Jack the level.
14:28Replace the rot.
14:29We'll get windows ordered ASAP.
14:31Because really nothing's changing window size.
14:35So it should go fairly quickly.
14:37Nice work, guys.
14:37Nice work, everybody.
14:38I'm going to take it home and get rid of this brown tail.
14:41It's the worst.
14:50All right, let me slide it past this stuff.
15:02Nope.
15:03Nope.
15:04Just can't get an angle out.
15:05Things are moving quickly at the white camp.
15:07Jacking and leveling.
15:08Well, I guess it doesn't matter.
15:09You think we've got a big bar right under this?
15:12Let's just leave it.
15:13We should be able to twist it into place, right?
15:15As long as it's there.
15:16Yeah.
15:17And however far they stick out, they stick out for now.
15:19Right?
15:20Yeah.
15:21Steve's been leading this crew, and there was a little bit more rot than we expected.
15:25Oh, no.
15:29Oh, no.
15:30Oh.
15:30It was definitely sitting down in the dirt.
15:32Wasn't breathing.
15:33And powder post beetles got into it.
15:35Chainsaw carpentry.
15:39So I'm here just helping get all the sills replaced.
15:43So that will go there so that they can safely keep jacking.
15:51We'll get it up to the height we want it.
16:01It's marvelous.
16:05Get all the posts replaced.
16:09Carrying beams.
16:11Get everything good and solid.
16:13Oh, it's money.
16:14You're right.
16:14Frame up the new bathroom, the new bedroom.
16:28And build a new deck.
16:29Right there.
16:31There we go.
16:46There we go.
16:46Little ladybug picnic.
17:09Morning, guys.
17:10Morning.
17:11Oh, it looks good.
17:12Oh, see the posts.
17:14Looks wicked good.
17:15Hey, dog.
17:16Oh, yeah.
17:17So it's week four at the white camp.
17:20You like it?
17:20Yeah, I do.
17:23And progress is moving along quickly.
17:27And very nicely.
17:29Camp has been jacked, reposted, leveled out.
17:35Doug's here working on plumbing.
17:37Practice my break dance rule.
17:41All the interior framing has been changed around.
17:44Bathroom moved to the side.
17:46New bedrooms framed out.
17:48Wall's been taken out.
17:49New windows framed in.
17:50Now it's one big room.
17:52And new kitchen will be over here.
17:55Now we're getting ready for electricians for spray foam.
17:59New deck is on the camp.
18:02Nice and solid.
18:02And today we're working on siding, getting ready for lattice, and finishing off the deck.
18:12Marvelous.
18:13Yeah, right now Sam and I are putting our ballasts up here on the railing.
18:19These guys did a great job building this thing.
18:21Things nice and solid, sturdy, secure.
18:23It's going to give it a nice new look once these cedar ballasts are in.
18:34All right.
18:35Yeah, so Maddie and I are putting in our framing for our lattice.
18:40So that fancy tool just turns your drill at a 90 degree angle so you can get in these tight spots.
18:50It's all about having the right tool.
18:53Yeah, perfect.
18:54So having that one little tool probably saved us a lot of aggravation.
18:59But it's coming together really quick.
19:07Dougie!
19:08Matt's got to go to this.
19:11We don't work in today.
19:12There's a lot going on.
19:20We got to a point where we're going to be in Doug's way.
19:22Dougie!
19:24Dougie!
19:27He can't have a rest.
19:29Dougie!
19:36Hey Doug, do you want me to move that waddy down to the corner if we're going to frame it in?
19:39Uh, it's going over there somewhere.
19:41We don't work in today.
19:41We got ready for the lattice.
19:43We got to a point where we're going to be in Doug's way.
19:45Okay, so let's push it back.
19:47Yeah.
19:47I just see these little legs coming out.
19:49Are you the wicked witch of the west or the nice witch of the east?
19:52Ha ha ha!
19:53Ha ha ha!
19:54Ha ha ha!
19:55You're not quite sure?
19:56I'm not sure.
19:57It depends on the phase of the moon, I guess.
20:00That says four and a half.
20:03I need the...
20:04I got to get ruby slippers.
20:05Ha ha ha ha!
20:06I'm going to give you some...
20:08Oh, yeah.
20:12Look at this place.
20:13It looks great.
20:14It's awesome.
20:14Hi, honey.
20:15Yeah.
20:16Good boy.
20:17Good boy.
20:18Got some ruby slippers?
20:20Oh, yeah.
20:20There we go.
20:21Come here.
20:22Good boys.
20:23Come here.
20:24Come here.
20:25Come here.
20:26You kept what you asked for.
20:27Ha ha ha ha!
20:28He really picked up his day.
20:29Good job, guys.
20:31Ha ha ha!
20:31Good job.
20:32I wish I was home.
20:34I wish I was home.
20:35I'm not really sure how that happened.
20:37Ha ha ha ha!
20:39Steve, what do you want us to do today?
20:41Just chill.
20:42Chill?
20:42I can chill.
20:43Probably the good witch Ashley.
20:44Da-do-ba-do!
20:48Dixie, look at your ride.
20:50You can borrow it.
20:51Ha ha ha!
20:52Where are you going?
20:53It's going to go over here and sweep the floors.
20:54Actually, I was going to do this so you fall asleep.
20:56Ha ha ha!
20:58When I got there today, Steve Colby told me to chill.
21:00Do you have any blankets in your truck?
21:02Ha ha, no.
21:03And he's the boss today, and that's what I did.
21:06That might be a pull-out couch.
21:07Now you're talking.
21:08Dixie, look at this!
21:10You didn't even discover this part.
21:11I was on the couch.
21:12Next thing you know, Jedi discovered it was a pull-out couch.
21:16Turns into a bed.
21:17Now we're talking, people.
21:19What does it matter with you?
21:20Can you guys sit down and read me a nighttime story?
21:23You want some glasses so you don't, the sun doesn't?
21:26Yeah.
21:27And some water.
21:28Some water.
21:29Oh, a tea.
21:29Hot tea.
21:30An apple.
21:31Apple juice.
21:32I love apple juice.
21:35Ashley!
21:35Yeah!
21:36Oh, to chill.
21:37You told me to chill.
21:38No, we've got to get the couch out.
21:40No more chilling.
21:41It's got to go.
21:42Where's it going?
21:43Right in the back of the truck.
21:45Yeah, so Steve gave me the job to chill, but then he actually did give me another job.
21:48Steve, this is a bad idea.
21:50We had to get rid of the couch.
21:52I'm okay.
21:53My couch is home.
21:54Oh, lazy boy.
21:55It's a lazy girl.
21:55Would you like to take this home with you?
21:56Yeah, my wife, yeah.
21:57Look at this.
22:00Don't be a time for side business.
22:02Somebody want to guide Smitty so he doesn't fall up?
22:04It's a big drop.
22:05Two feet drop.
22:07Yep.
22:07Look out, Francis.
22:11Nice.
22:12We're in.
22:13Where do you want the windows?
22:15In the back of the truck.
22:16And then I had to get up on the truck.
22:17Oh, I actually did a lot today.
22:25Oh, okay.
22:27I did not chill for like probably an hour.
22:31Ashley, you know what you should do?
22:33What?
22:33Take your pocket and sew it on upside down so you can lean the shovel in there and it'll hold you up.
22:38That's a great idea.
22:39Marvelous.
22:40It's all about being productive.
22:45You guys, it's a gorgeous day and you guys are going to miss it by working.
22:49We got a job to do.
22:52Summer is for playing.
22:54Winter is for working.
23:02Last board.
23:03Overall, Steve said I did a fantastic job.
23:07This is looking good.
23:08Yeah, it looks so much better.
23:09Oh, yeah, it looks awesome.
23:11Oh, yeah.
23:12Oh, absolutely.
23:14I love that comb face siding.
23:16Comb face?
23:16Comb face.
23:17What does comb face mean?
23:18It just has a texture to it.
23:20I think it holds the stain better when it's textured too.
23:23It's going to be way better to look at from Ryan's brother's cam.
23:25Better than that mint green siding.
23:27Yeah, it's going to look a lot better.
23:28So what's next here?
23:29Next is continuous siding.
23:32Get the lattice up.
23:34Pine it up.
23:34All right, well, everyone, thanks for chilling.
23:36Let's go home.
23:36We have a nice can't to look at now from across the line.
23:38We have a tea time.
23:39We have.
23:42Bye.
23:42Kind of tea.
23:43Tea and crumpets.
23:44Green tea.
23:44Ashley and I are going to go golfing.
23:46I'm not going golfing.
23:56Grab that into the door.
23:59We're going to go with it?
24:00They're going to go.
24:02I guess maybe rest up against either a shed or something or a tree.
24:08So we're getting close to being wrapped up at the white camp.
24:10Oh, sun's coming out.
24:13The exterior's pretty much done.
24:17You got that one?
24:22Interior walls are all closed in.
24:24Oh.
24:25The electricians have been here.
24:35Do you want to just go around with them and pick up any trash just so it doesn't get blown into the lake?
24:39Yeah.
24:40Francis dropped a load of crushed stone.
24:42I dropped Fletcher and Sam off today.
24:44The main objective is we need to fill in the stairs.
24:47We need to fill in the deck.
24:48You've got wheelbarrows, there's shovels, there's rakes.
24:53So I've got those guys working here today.
24:59Putting down some crushed stone.
25:01All righty, here we go.
25:15All right, we got the cabinet doors.
25:17It's my favorite cabinets in this beautiful old siding.
25:21Today, Chase and I are at the wood shop.
25:23Look, that's going to look beautiful together.
25:25To work on our custom project for the white camp.
25:27What doors are we using?
25:30We've got this set right here, right?
25:32That's too low.
25:35We might actually want to use these.
25:36Okay.
25:37Because we're going to build a base.
25:38Yeah.
25:39Because I think if we built a base, put those in there.
25:42Yeah, that would be too big.
25:43It'd be too tall.
25:44Okay, so face, and then we'll have like a little bookcase.
25:49So when we were at the white camp,
25:50I really loved the doors on the kitchen cabinets.
25:52What is wrong with you guys?
25:53You don't think they're pretty?
25:54I didn't say that.
25:55They're unique.
25:56So we removed them all.
25:57Hanging out inside, buddy.
25:59And then we discovered the old siding.
26:02Kind of looks nice like that.
26:04And we really liked that.
26:05And then came up with the idea of building a hutch.
26:08This is exactly what dad would do.
26:10Exactly, you're just like your father.
26:12Something that my dad and Chase used to build all the time.
26:16This one has a hole in it.
26:17That's the top.
26:19You don't care that the top has a hole in it?
26:21That's character.
26:23Isn't that convenient?
26:27Get jiggy with it.
26:30Yeah, I mean, really, we had to build it around the doors.
26:33Hold that right there, would you?
26:35We wanted to reincorporate the doors.
26:37We had specific sizes.
26:39Yeah, 36.
26:40So that gave us our measurements for the base.
26:43That's like I'm playing the piano.
26:44Working on the piano.
26:45We're all for the big one day.
26:48Are you helping or?
26:50Yeah, I'm figuring out how we're going to attach these.
26:52And we kind of went up from there.
26:55So Benny and I got started right away building the upper part of the hutch
26:58to show off the siding.
27:03While Chase trimmed out the frame for the cabinet doors.
27:09That works.
27:11Looks good to me.
27:12Looked good to you.
27:13Then we attached it to the base.
27:15And added some of that beautiful siding to the frame.
27:26Is it going to fit?
27:36It fits perfect.
27:37Oh, perfect.
27:38Perfect.
27:38Perfect.
27:39Perfect.
27:40Perfect.
27:40Perfect.
27:40Perfect.
27:41Perfect.
27:42Perfect.
27:42Perfect.
27:43Perfect.
27:44All right.
27:45Set her right down.
27:48Gently.
27:53Okay.
27:58Beautiful.
28:01Nice.
28:05This is a luxury item.
28:07A luxury piece, if you will.
28:09First time we used to crown molding on a job I know of here.
28:14Okay, here we go.
28:18Ready for the reveal.
28:20It's a reveal party.
28:26Ta-da!
28:27That looks nice.
28:28Oh, I love it.
28:30That does look nice.
28:31It looks really nice.
28:32See, I really like it a lot.
28:34Do you like it a lot?
28:35Yeah.
28:35Came out good.
28:35It's solid.
28:36It's unique.
28:38It reincorporated a lot of the old camp.
28:40Now we just have to sand the edges, stuff it up, and we can place it into the camp.
28:45And if they don't want it, they can drive it right over to my house.
28:48Just kidding.
28:49They're going to love it.
28:49Nice job.
28:57Morning.
28:58Morning.
28:59I'm looking good, guys.
29:01It's hot, Doug.
29:10Back at the white camp, and the guys are putting up the last pieces of trim on the exterior.
29:18The comb face boards came out really awesome with the vertical lats and the trim.
29:22It really, really came together.
29:24Fletcher and his buddies are here running tons of crushed stone.
29:26They did a great job.
29:28Front deck's been done for a while.
29:29Exeter's coming along really nice.
29:31Really, really came together this past week.
29:33Now it's a small punch list stuff.
29:35Hey, Jared, you got a minute?
29:36Mind help me pick this up in?
29:37It's all coming together.
29:38It's a team effort, family effort.
29:39It looks great.
29:41Money.
29:46Very nice.
29:47So today I was able to install the countertops and install the sink.
29:56Oh, yeah.
29:57And it is so weltering.
30:01It is probably 100 degrees, and that doesn't include the humidity.
30:06So on days like this, we try to get our work done.
30:10So just go around and mark everything in a quarter inch.
30:13Trace it with my pencil.
30:15And that's where I'm going to cut.
30:17So the quarter inch creates a lip for the sink to sit on.
30:19And then we go and enjoy the lake.
30:39Trigger, come here.
30:41Trigger, it is so hot.
30:43You already went swimming.
30:44That's the plan for the day, okay?
30:45I'm going to take everybody from boat rides and let them go swimming, and then we don't
30:49have to work so much.
30:50Got it?
30:51It is hot.
30:52It's the hottest day that we've had so far.
30:54I got my sun hat on.
30:55I got a swimsuit in my bag.
30:58And today's job is right across the lake from the family camp.
31:02So I'm taking my new boat, Peanut.
31:04Who do you think will come with us first?
31:06Your dad?
31:07To take people out on the lake.
31:08And have some fun.
31:13Sorry, I'm not here to work today.
31:15This is what summer in Maine is all about.
31:17Not working.
31:18Playing.
31:22Don't tell Chase.
31:25Hello.
31:25I brought my boat so we can take everybody out.
31:28I figure it's going to be a nice easy day here.
31:31Yeah, well, we got a list for you.
31:34For me?
31:34Yep.
31:35I don't, I'm not, I don't, I'm not accepting lists.
31:38What are you talking about?
31:40You'll have to see.
31:43Oh, look at this welcoming committee.
31:44Oh, look at the cat dragged in.
31:45The real worker just showed up.
31:47Unfortunately, when I walked in.
31:48Oh, I like it when Steve's my boss.
31:51You do?
31:52You do?
31:53Look, because look what he left for you to do,
31:54and look what he left for us to do.
31:56There was a huge list.
31:57Real chill, say hi, doing lots of swim breaks.
32:00Oh.
32:01Switch.
32:03Reverse.
32:03It was a joke, because there was no way
32:05they were going to be to do all those things.
32:06There we go.
32:07Grill, chill, stay hydrated, lots of swim breaks.
32:10That's me.
32:11You're welcome, Steve.
32:13Okay, go chill and grill.
32:17But once we were in there,
32:19are you doing the trim in here?
32:20Yeah, me.
32:20Wonderful.
32:22We could check that off.
32:23I realized that I needed to get the hutch in here.
32:27Hey, Jedi.
32:28Yeah?
32:29What are you doing right now?
32:30Trying to cool off.
32:31I need a hand.
32:32You do?
32:32Yeah.
32:33What are we doing?
32:33Chase and I built a hutch, and it's in two pieces.
32:37Still needs to be kind of assembled together.
32:41So we can put it in place.
32:42Okay.
32:43Kind of secure it.
32:44Want to help me?
32:45Yeah, sure.
32:45So, Chase and I finished the hutch.
32:48Do you want that for me?
32:49Yeah, real.
32:50Mine's the ones that were in here.
32:51They are the ones that were in there.
32:54What?
32:55Chase painted it, kind of beat it up,
32:57gave it that stressed out look.
32:59Center in the wall.
33:00I like it on that wall, because the wood matches better.
33:02The wood definitely matches better.
33:03I think the wood matches better.
33:05The wood does match better on this wall.
33:05You know what?
33:06You know what?
33:06I really think that wall's good.
33:08You want to know why?
33:09Why?
33:09The wood matches better.
33:10The wood does match.
33:13How did we do on the list today?
33:15Somebody grab the list.
33:16Somebody grab the list.
33:19Countertops done.
33:20Vanity.
33:20Trim.
33:21Baseboard.
33:22Trim windows.
33:23Stay hydrated.
33:24What's left, sir?
33:25Clean up and cool off.
33:28All right.
33:28I'll get my team in here.
33:29We'll clean and get it ready for the homeowners.
33:32Yeah.
33:32All right.
33:33Nice work.
33:33All right.
33:34Let's go swimming.
33:35Let's go swimming back.
33:37I'm going to go change my bathing suit.
33:39I forgot my slippies.
33:40I forgot my slippies.
33:55Chase?
33:56Yep.
33:57Come here.
33:57Doesn't this look nice?
33:58The place looks good.
33:59Right?
33:59So it's a beautiful summer day on Cobb City.
34:02Look at these.
34:03Hi, Chase.
34:04You did a good job.
34:05And we're ready to give the white camp back.
34:08I can be reminded of the mint siding they used to have,
34:11the beautiful kitchen cabinets they used to have.
34:13The siding we found behind the vinyl.
34:14Right?
34:15It's like Dad used to do.
34:16Yeah, they have the beautiful piece
34:17that we put a lot of time and love into.
34:20And my team was able to come in.
34:22It could be three of them like that.
34:25And make it feel campy and comfortable.
34:29We want them to come here and enjoy it
34:30and not have to worry about anything else.
34:32Well, let's go down in the water.
34:36I can't even believe this.
34:37This is so exciting.
34:38Oh.
34:39Summer's finally here.
34:40It's nice, warm weather.
34:41All right.
34:42This is it.
34:43Do I see a black umbrella?
34:44Wait, I think I see deck rails.
34:46Yes.
34:47Or is that Karen's?
34:48It's hard to tell.
34:49Where is it?
34:49I never realized how well-hidden the house is.
34:51It's camouflaged.
34:53I can't tell.
34:54I can't tell.
34:55Oh, my gosh.
34:55The deck.
34:56Oh, wow.
34:57Look at that.
34:58Oh, my goodness.
34:59That's not the same house.
35:00It's totally not the same house.
35:01That's a totally different house.
35:02It looks like a camp and not an avocado.
35:05That looks beautiful.
35:07Hi, guys.
35:08Hi, guys.
35:09Welcome back.
35:09Just the whole outside of the camp,
35:11the deck is beautiful.
35:13No more mint green.
35:15No more mint.
35:17Wow.
35:17That is incredible.
35:18It just looks like it belongs.
35:20Yeah, once we got all the vinyl siding stripped off,
35:23we got into jacking and leveling right away,
35:26got it lifted up out of the dirt,
35:28replaced whatever sills we needed to.
35:29Everything's been reposted,
35:31new carrying beams,
35:33new pucks that everything's sitting on,
35:35so it's nice and level.
35:36It's a solid, you know, pressure-treated frame deck,
35:38nice cedar railings,
35:39and we went with this comb-face shiplap.
35:42Put the sage green trim.
35:44It's just a little color.
35:45Love it.
35:46I cannot wait to see you inside.
35:48We'll head on in.
35:48All right.
35:49All right.
35:59Oh, my goodness.
36:00Oh, my goodness.
36:01No.
36:02Wow.
36:03Wow.
36:04Stop it.
36:05I think we're in the wrong house.
36:06This is a kitchen we can cook in.
36:12Oh, my gosh.
36:14This feels completely different.
36:16It does.
36:17It does, with the wall out of there.
36:21That front wall that was splitting the porch
36:24and the living area.
36:26So this is the floor from the front porch.
36:28This is the porch.
36:28Yeah, and the wall was with it.
36:30That's the line right there.
36:32Just with that gone,
36:32I couldn't believe how much bigger
36:34the inside of the house was.
36:36I feel like we're part of the lake now.
36:37You definitely were separated in here.
36:39Yes.
36:39Yes, and wherever you stand in the house now,
36:41you can see the water.
36:43Did you happen to look to your left?
36:47There's a door straight ahead.
36:49Wait, where?
36:50Right, straight ahead.
36:52The door.
36:52Outside.
36:53Ah!
36:55We now have an access door
36:57on the driveway side of the house.
36:58And no more side entrance.
36:59Yeah.
37:00Tore that right off.
37:01Closed it right in.
37:02Look at that.
37:03And I think it's going to be great for airflow.
37:09Look what they built.
37:11No.
37:12That's the cabinets.
37:14I was not willing to let you have no basket.
37:17I think it's beautiful.
37:18Okay.
37:19That's awesome.
37:19That's fabulous.
37:20And the darker green wood
37:22was actually the siding
37:23from the outside of this camp.
37:25Oh, that's awesome.
37:25That's what was under the vinyl siding.
37:27And then Chase decided
37:28we needed some mint
37:29to remind you of the mint.
37:30Definitely need the mint.
37:32Can't forget about that.
37:33So this was made especially for you
37:34to remind you.
37:36I know that.
37:38To have all the pieces of the hutch
37:39represent part of the house.
37:41That's the perfect amount of basket weave.
37:43Any house should have.
37:44Okay, okay, okay.
37:44The thought to do that.
37:47And it holds things,
37:48but it holds memories too
37:49because every part of that hutch is us now.
37:53Yeah, so another request
37:55was a larger bathroom.
37:56So we kept the two bedrooms,
37:58kind of reconfigured everything.
38:00Oh, wow.
38:02Look at this.
38:04Are you going to stay here tonight?
38:05Uh, yeah.
38:06I don't think you'll be able to get him out.
38:10So whatever space we stole from that bedroom,
38:13we kind of bumped out this way
38:14and just moved the bedroom forward a little bit
38:18to a larger bathroom.
38:19Wow.
38:21A real bathroom.
38:24Holy cow.
38:25You did not do this.
38:27This is amazing.
38:28It's a bathroom.
38:30You can use it.
38:30Yeah.
38:33We could actually shower for a change.
38:35We could be clean at the lake.
38:36We've never done that.
38:37There's space.
38:38You could open the door
38:39so it's not jumbled on top of each other.
38:41Oh, look at this.
38:45Oh, that's such a pretty entrance.
38:47Oh, wow.
38:51That's nice.
38:52That is incredible
38:53that you were able to do that.
38:54That looks so pretty.
38:55Yeah, so, you know,
38:56when we first showed up,
38:57it was mint green.
39:00Vinyl siding.
39:03You could see that the camp
39:05was definitely settling into the dirt
39:06and you wanted to kind of reconfigure the inside.
39:15We had $50,000 and 12 weeks.
39:20So the camp is ready for you to enjoy the summer.
39:22That's the summer.
39:23There are the keys.
39:24Thank you so much.
39:25Yeah, enjoy.
39:25We will swing by and say hi.
39:28Absolutely.
39:29Anytime, guys.
39:30All right.
39:31Thank you so much.
39:32Bye.
39:33I never thought that this camp could look like this.
39:38You know, it's not closed off little compartments.
39:43It's incredible.
39:44It doesn't even look like the same house.
39:46I think we're going to be very, very happy for years to come.
39:49Thank you, Cabin Masters.
