00:00We probably won't get anything unless I decide to use excessive strength and force where we would be, frankly, unstoppable.

00:15That's probably the biggest statement I made because people thought I would use force.
00:20I don't have to use force. I don't want to use force. I won't use force.
00:23All the United States is asking for is a place called Greenland, where we already had it.
00:30We could have kept that piece of land and we didn't.
00:35So they have a choice. You can say yes and we will be very appreciative or you can say no and we will remember.
00:46And the fact is, no nation or group of nations is in any position to be able to secure Greenland other than the United States.
00:55Greenland is a vast, almost entirely uninhabited and undeveloped territory.
01:01The sitting undefended in a key strategic location between the United States, Russia and China.
01:09And it's exactly where it is, right smack in the middle.
01:13Wasn't important nearly when we gave it back.
01:16You know, when we gave it back, it wasn't the same as it is now.
01:19It's not important for any other reason, you know, to that when it talks about the manuals.
01:23There's so many places. There's no rare earth.
01:26No such thing as rare earth is rare processing.
01:29But there's so much rare earth.
01:33And just to get to this rare earth, you got to go through hundreds of feet of ice.
01:39That's not the reason we need it.
01:41We need it for strategic national security and international security.
01:48This enormous, unsecured island is actually part of North America on the northern frontier of the Western Hemisphere.
01:55That's our territory.
01:56It's the United States alone that can protect this giant mass of land, this giant piece of ice, develop it and improve it and make it so that it's good for Europe and safe for Europe and good for us.
02:10And that's the reason I'm seeking immediate negotiations to once again discuss the acquisition of Greenland by the United States, just as we have acquired many other territories throughout our history, as many of the European nations have.
02:24They've acquired. There's nothing wrong with it.
02:26But this would not be a threat to NATO.
02:29This would greatly enhance the security of the entire alliance, the NATO alliance.
02:35The United States is treated very unfairly by NATO.
02:39I want to tell you that.
02:41And when you think about it, nobody can dispute it.
02:44We give so much and we get so little in return.
02:48And I've been a critic of NATO for many years.
02:51And yet I've done more to help NATO than any other president by far than any other person.
02:56You wouldn't have NATO if I didn't get involved in my first term.
03:02The United States was paying for virtually 100 percent of NATO.
03:07And I got that stopped.
03:09I said, that's not fair.
03:10But then, more importantly, I got NATO to pay 5 percent.
03:15And now they were paying.
03:16And now they are paying.
03:17So something nobody said was possible.
03:20They said, we will never go up higher than 2 percent.
03:23But they went to 5 percent.
03:25And now they're paying the 5.
03:26They didn't pay the 2.
03:27And now they're paying the 5.
03:28And they're stronger for it.
03:30And they have an excellent, by the way, Secretary General, who's possibly in the room.

05:41But they don't use it.
05:43And that's one reason why their energy has reached catastrophically low levels with equally high prices.

05:55And they like to say, well, you know, that's depleted.
05:57It's not depleted.
05:58It's got 500 years.
05:59They haven't even found the oil.
06:01The North Sea is incredible.
06:03They don't let anybody drill.
06:06Environmentally, they don't let them drill.
06:08China makes almost all of the windmills.
06:10And yet, I haven't been able to find any wind farms in China.
06:14Did you ever think of that?
06:15That's a good way of looking at it.
06:17They're smart.

06:18They make them.
06:19They sell them for a fortune.
06:21They sell them to the stupid people that buy them.
06:24But they don't use them themselves.
06:26They put up a couple of big wind farms, but they don't use them.
06:31They just put them up to show people what they could look like.
06:34They don't spin.
06:35They don't do anything.
06:36They use the thing called coal, mostly.
06:40But China goes with the coal.
06:42They go with oil and gas.
06:45They're starting to look at nuclear a little bit.
06:48And they're doing just fine.
06:50The United States cares greatly about the people of Europe.
06:53We really do.
06:54I mean, look, I am derived from Europe.
06:58Scotland and Germany, 100%.
07:02Scotland, my mother, 100% German, my father.
07:08And we believe deeply in the bonds we share with Europe as a civilization.
07:14I want to see it do great.
07:16That's why issues like energy trade, immigration, and economic growth must be central concerns to anyone who wants to see a strong and united West.
07:26For national and international security and to keep our very energetic and dangerous potential enemies at bay is this land on which we're going to build the greatest golden dome ever built.

09:25With Ukraine, Russia, there's tremendous hatred between President Zelensky and President Putin.
09:32That's not good.
09:33That's not good for settlements.
09:35We know from dealing.
09:36There's abnormal hatred.
09:38With that being said, I think Russia wants to make a deal.
09:42I think Ukraine wants to make a deal.
09:44And we're going to try getting a deal done.
09:47We're getting, I think, Steve, I think I can say that we're reasonably close.
09:51What happens is oftentimes we'll have a deal with Russia.
09:54Russia's set and President Zelensky will not do it.
09:57You saw that when he was in the Oval Office.
09:59I was not happy.
10:00And then we'll have President Zelensky wants to make a deal, and Putin doesn't want to make the deal.
10:06It's a very difficult balance.
10:10I believe they're at a point now where they can come together and get a deal done.
10:15And if they don't, they're stupid.
10:18That goes for both of them.
10:20And I know they're not stupid.
10:22But if they don't get this done, they are stupid.
10:24So I don't want to insult anyone, but you've got to get this deal done.
10:30Too many people are dying.
10:31It's not worth it.
