Snowy weather is expected to cause major travel delays and disruptions in the Midwest and Northeast in the afternoon of Jan. 21, including the cities of Detroit, Buffalo, Syracuse and Albany.

00:00Overall though, we're looking at green lights for now. That's good news. The color of your commute is yellow though into Shreveport, Memphis and Minneapolis. We've got rain in Shreveport and Memphis this morning. Minneapolis, some morning flurries. You can see a coating to an inch of snow later on today. Detroit, you've got widespread snow. Significant delays possible this morning. Buffalo, things will escalate later on behind the Arctic front. Syracuse and Waterloo, Iowa, snow increasing. And in Albany, New York, some snow showers and flurries later on today. Overall, we'll also be dealing with some patchy fog this morning in Seattle.
