00:00Are you looking to make markets in prediction markets?
00:04Yeah, first of all, thanks for having me.
00:06Yeah, definitely.
00:08It's a pretty exciting one for us to focus,
00:10and we see a lot of our competitors also are in this market as well.
00:14There are a lot of unsolved issues, of course,
00:17but the volumes that we see already are quite promising.
00:21So then how do you compete with the players that are out there already,
00:24the Polymarkets, the Colshies, the Robinhoods, and the like?
00:27How do you differentiate yourself?
00:30Well, we don't see ourselves as a competition.
00:32We see ourselves as basically liquidity partners.
00:34So the great thing about Colshie, Polymarket, Robinhood,
00:39basically all other platforms is they do need market makers
00:42to make all those new prediction markets more liquid,
00:45and, yeah, that's where we step in.
00:47Just take a step back, Evgeny,
00:48and just give us a sense of how liquidity has been in crypto markets
00:51over the past year and what that shows,
00:53because we've certainly seen some wild price swings
00:55and talk of perhaps another crypto winter.
01:01Yeah, I think what was confusing about the cycle
01:03is it did not follow the same kind of like path from Bitcoin going up,
01:08then people rotating from Bitcoin to Ethereum,
01:10then Ethereum going up,
01:11then people rotating from Ethereum into all kinds of altcoins,
01:15but there's this fabled alt season
01:16that people are always kind of looking forward to
01:19in every cycle never happens.
01:21And part of it has to do with basically meme coin craze
01:25during the last year especially.
01:27Part of it has to do with basically the market behaving very differently
01:31to what it used to be.
01:33So it's basically a lot more focus on ETFs, for example.
01:36So basically what we've seen on investor side,
01:40especially on TreadFi investor side,
01:42is people just wanted to invest in ETFs,
01:45and there's assets where there are ETFs.
01:47So it's basically Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Ripple.
01:50I don't think there is anything.
01:51I don't think there is much more besides that.
01:54And it basically created like a very different cycle
01:57with a lot of disappointed people.
02:00Hey, I just want to shift gears a little bit and talk politics,
02:02because as we've spoken about in the past
02:04when you've been on our program,
02:04you were one of the people
02:05who was at that crypto meme coin dinner last year
02:08with President Trump.
02:10Have you gotten everything from this president
02:13that you've wanted to see when it comes to the industry?
02:18Yeah, it's a good one.
02:19I think basically it's all kind of hinges on clarity, bill passing.
02:26I think if we have it,
02:28then it's basically pretty much up to us
02:30to make everything else happen.
02:33What we definitely got from this administration
02:35is very adequate SEC, very adequate CFTC,
02:40basically the regulators that you can actually talk to,
02:43that you can discuss things, you can basically propose things,
02:46and who are not just going to sue and oblivion.
02:49And yeah, the last piece which is missing
02:51is basically legislation which allows
02:53all kinds of protocols, firms,
02:57all kind of factors to just function properly.
03:00Yes or no, we just have 10 seconds.
03:02Do you support the market structure bill
03:04in its current iteration?
03:06Yes.
