00:00I'd like to just start by asking you whether you see a forced military takeover of Greenland
00:06by the United States as being a possible scenario at this stage.
00:09I think there'll be great pushback from that. While it's possible, I don't think it's probable
00:16because it'll be totally disrupted to our relationships in NATO and would break down
00:24even our commercial and financial interests with what's going on in the EU and with NATO countries.
00:32While it may be a talking point in Washington, that will not sell well in the rest of the world.
00:41And we have troops all around the world. Who's to question the logic if you take Greenland now
00:49when you want Denmark next, there'll be a major global pushback from the Western world
00:57as we know it and some of our biggest trading partners.
01:01I don't see the possibility at this time of a military takeover.
01:07I think it will be a continued point of negotiation. You do this.
01:12And if you don't, such as with the trade movements, to try and force some type of agreement.
01:21But I don't see support for American people, the Congress, or the international community
01:28that this will be acceptable, that a NATO partner will take another NATO partner's land.
01:34I don't see that happening that way. It could be negotiated for putting more troops there,
01:41which we could probably do right now with the current agreements with NATO partners, Denmark.
01:48But at this time, I don't see the possibility of airborne troops landing in Greenland.
