00:21Times review of A24's new horror film Bodies, Bodies, Bodies. Stenberg took to Instagram
00:26stories on Thursday to clarify why she sent a pointed DM to the New York Times' Lena Wilson
00:32after the critic posted their back and forth on Twitter late last night. On August 8th,
00:37the actress sent a DM to Wilson, writing,
00:39Your review was great. Maybe if you had gotten your eyes off my tits, you could have watched the movie.
00:44The DM was in direct reference to this line from Wilson's review.
00:48The only thing that really sets Bodies, Bodies, Bodies apart is its place in the A24 hype machine,
00:54where it doubles as a 95-minute advertisement for cleavage and Charli XCX's latest single.
01:00Wilson responded by saying,
01:01Generally a big fan of your work, but this sure is something. Really wishing you well in your career
01:06and life. She then took the exchange public by posting it on Twitter. When the exchange started
01:12to catch some heat and headlines online, Stenberg responded via stories.
01:16I'm proud that a piece of work that I was part of was described as such in such a renowned
01:25publication. That is a really unique experience that I get to have.
01:28Stenberg said that the amount of commentary she's fielded about her chest
01:31is so extreme and has been happening since she was a teenager.
01:35I could literally be wearing a t-shirt and just because of the size of my boobs,
01:39there will be some sort of sexualization or commentary on my chest.
01:44She closed out her thoughts by addressing Wilson directly.
01:48I thought your review was hilarious. I thought my DM was funny.
01:55I did not mean to harass you. I do not wish you any harm.
