Chris Evans is returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe for 'Avengers: Doomsday.' The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that after the actor appeared in 'Deadpool & Wolverine,' he is dipping back into the MCU once again for the film that will see Robert Downey Jr. play Doctor Doom. The actor's longtime collaborators the Russo brothers are directing the movie that has a release date of May 1st, 2026.

00:47actors from the previous films as well as current ones. Evans retired from the role of Captain
00:52America with 2019's Avengers Endgame, which saw his character Steve Rogers pass on the Captain
00:57America's shield to Sam Wilson. Evans originated the role of Steve Rogers in 2011's Captain America,
