00:00This is the view you could be looking at as you sip a cocktail at the new hotel in Garima
00:05Place. But most Canberians will be more excited by what's happening on the bottom floor.
00:10TP Dynamics founder Tony Pan has announced that Gus's place will be returning to the site when
00:15it reopens in 2027. Probably the older I get, the more I respect the heritage. You know,
00:21it's our memory. It's a lot of people's memory. It's very important for the community. We
00:27understand with respect and it's coming back. The announcement was made at the Topping Out
00:31ceremony on Tuesday, January 20. As you can see from Garima Place, we've got a number of
00:38major projects underway to improve the area. But this hotel will be a real anchor and focal point
00:44for this part of Canberra. It's a fantastic investment, not only in our city's tourism and
00:51hospitality industry, but in the renewal of our CBD. The hotel is expected to open by March 2027,
00:59with construction mostly completed by the end of 2026.
