00:00How'd you feel about the Bills game overall, that Bills-Broncos game?
00:03So I thought the game was, I mean, first of all, Josh Allen made it, you know,
00:06stating the obvious, just made way too many mistakes.
00:10Here's what I didn't like about that game.
00:12I thought the officials stayed out of the way until the end.
00:14And then all of a sudden, they got involved in it.
00:17And I'm not blaming the officials for Buffalo losing,
00:21because I think Josh Allen did a good job of that on his own.
00:24But I could have, it felt to me like all of a sudden,
00:27after the, you know, controversial interception,
00:32that the flag started coming out rapidly.
00:35And I didn't like that.
00:37They called the game one way for the first, call it 65 minutes.
00:41And then all of a sudden, they decide they're going to call it a different way.
00:44Why? Because the game's going to take longer than everyone expected?
00:47Or heaven forbid, it might go to double overtime?
00:50Or, so that I didn't love.
00:53But, you know, to me, Buffalo should be kicking itself.
00:57Should the Brandon Cooks play have been a catch?
00:59No.
01:00You know, that one I'm not wrapped up in.
01:03I think you can, I don't want to ride a fence on it,
01:05but ultimately looking at it, you know, no, you know why?
01:08Because Brandon Cooks didn't sell it.
01:10Bingo.
01:10He quit.
01:11Yeah.
01:12If Brandon Cooks, I think, was more theatrical about it, or was like.
01:16No, fought for the ball.
01:17Not even theatrics.
01:18Fight for the ball.
01:20That's on Brandon Cooks.
01:21I'm with you 100%, Murray.
01:22Fight for the ball.
01:24He gave up.
01:25He was way too soft at the end of that play.
01:28He just looked dejected, too.
01:30If there was, in that case, like, you can't leave it in the hands of the refs.
01:33But it's not just that.
01:34It's, it's bang, bang.
01:37They're rolling around on the ground.
01:39One guy's fighting for the ball through the duration of the play,
01:42and the other guy gave up and let him have it.
01:46Most refs, and I don't blame him, rightfully so,
01:49fighting through the end of the play.
01:51He came away with the ball interception.
01:53That one was on Brandon Cooks.
01:54I'm sorry.
01:55I'm glad that's not a catch.
01:56My bigger beef.
01:57Sorry, good, Mark.
01:58My bigger beef with the officiating is what Maz was saying,
02:00the inconsistency of it, because Cooks was getting mugged in the end zone,
02:03which could have been a DPI.
02:04They go to Sterritore in the booth, and he says,
02:06I'm glad they didn't throw a flag there.
02:07Me, too.
02:08Let them play.
02:09And then in the overtime, it's ticky-tack DPIs, or at least the one.
02:12I mean, because you have the rough and the passer.
02:15But besides that, the Bills lost for three reasons.
02:16It has nothing to do with the officiating.
02:18The horrendous fumble by Allen at the end of the half.
02:20You can't have that.
02:21The fumble by James Cook, where the momentum was all on the Bills' side,
02:24and it looked like the Broncos were about to crack if the Bills scored on that
02:27drive, which it felt like they were going to.
02:29And maybe the most egregious thing, and I think one of the reasons McDermott
02:32got fired today, third and 11 on that drive towards the end of the regulation
02:35where the Broncos score the touchdown to Mims, third and 11,
02:39they're bringing pressure.
02:40Knicks is looking erratic.
02:42And on third and 11, McDermott says, drop into coverage.
02:45And he immediately picks up the first down with a throw to the middle.
02:47You dunce.
02:48Keep bringing pressure.
02:49I know they never sacked him, but they were making him start to get a little squirrely.
02:53Oh, that play was so bad and so cowardly.
02:55That's why they lost.
02:56I know they were making him start to get a little squirrely.
02:58I know they were making him start to get a little squirrely.
03:00I know they were making him start to get a little squirrely.
03:01I know they were making him start to get a little squirrely.
03:02I know they were making him start to get a little squirrely.
03:03I know they were making him start to get a little squirrely.
03:04I know they were making him start to get a little squirrely.
03:05I know they were making him start to get a little squirrely.
03:06I know they were making him start to get a little squirrely.
03:07I know they were making him start to get a little squirrely.
03:08I know they were making him start to get a little squirrely.
03:09I know they were making him start to get a little squirrely.
