00:27But looking back, this tournament has been about more than just the game.

00:32It's been about the cities, the movement and the journeys that connected the whole country.

00:39Casablanca Airport has been a hub throughout the tournament

00:41with fans arriving from across Africa and beyond.

00:45The terminals carry the spirit of the tournament,

00:49creating an immersive welcome for everyone arriving.

00:52From arrivals to check-ins,

00:54AFCON Energy fills the airport with staff part of everyday moment.

01:03you feel part of something bigger.

01:06Then the journey continues on Morocco's high-speed trains,

01:09connecting cities and fans.

01:11The stations are full of energy and you can feel the excitement everywhere.

01:16Morocco's story was alive throughout the tournament with Rabat right at the center of it.

01:23Including historic sites that connected the past with the energy of AFCON.

01:28The Udayas are one of Rabat's oldest quarters,

01:37a historic fortress above the Atlantic.

01:40Its walls have stood for centuries,

01:42watching the city around them.

01:44Step through the gates and the pace slows.

01:49Inside, walkways and gardens offer a calm,

01:53quieter sight of Rabat after weeks of football.

01:56AFCON didn't just leave memories.

02:03It's also left something tangible behind.

02:09In Casablanca, football's impact reaches beyond the stadium.

02:14A local playground was transformed into a place where young players can train,

02:18play and dream.

02:20A small change with a lasting effect.

02:22I saw the passion that the kids had for football and at the same time the lack of possibilities.

02:30Most of them were dropping out of school.

02:35You have to see this place before it was renovated to see the states.

02:38The condition of this playground, they helped us even throwing the trash away.

02:42We want to do something for kids, we want to do something for us too.

02:48And the final project is to find a big project to help kids to find another way in the sports business.

03:04The biggest night of the tournament.

03:06Morocco, Senegal, one final chapter.

03:09Senegal has won the African Cup of Nations in a dramatic fashion.

03:16Pap Gay scored an extra time for the Taranga Lions to beat host Morocco 1-0 in a chaotic final.

03:23A Panenka miss by Ibrahim Abdekatera Diaz gave the Tarangas another boost in the match.

03:29This was Senegal's fourth appearance in the Africa Cup final,

03:32and it is a second title for the Lions of Taranga in the last three African tournaments.

03:37I think the first half was like 60-40 for us.

03:44We dominated, we have chances, but at the end of the day we didn't score.

03:49Morocco has like one, two chances, they could have scored,

03:53but I think the second half was 50-50.

03:55At the beginning of the second half, you could see like the Moroccan players trying to do their best.

04:01But I think the major breakdown of the second half is a penalty.

04:05That wasn't a penalty, it's unfortunate, but it is like that, it is what it is.

04:10At the end of the day, he missed it, and we are happy for that.

04:13We went to the extra time, we scored that goal, and it couldn't end much better than that.
