00:00Got anything on you? I'm at my house.
00:03I don't know. I'm asking you. I'm asking you.
00:07Who's in the car?
00:09This is my car. She took my car.
00:11Who is she to you?
00:11Look at me right here. My child's mother.
00:14Oh, okay. All right.
00:15The victim reported sustaining minor injuries, including visible bruising to her left arm at the time the report was made and she sought medical attention.
00:24Three serious charges like that, I mean, felony charges, you're obviously potentially looking at prison time and years and years in prison.
00:32And this is something that Gervonta Davis is now going to have to deal with.
00:36Reports claim Gervonta Tank Davis is under intense scrutiny after the FBI allegedly released body cam footage of his arrest, sparking widespread speculation online.
00:47Where did she live?
00:49I don't know how that address.
00:51Recently, the police in Miami Gardens, Florida, have obtained a judge signed arrest warrant for Davis in connection with an alleged domestic violence incident that took place in October 2025, 2025, at approximately 2.15 p.m., the victim entered the Miami Gardens Police Department, accompanied by her attorney to report an incident that occurred on October 27, 2025.
01:14At the time of the incident, the victim was employed at a local gentleman's club located within the city of Miami Gardens, according to the victim's statement at approximately 4.15 a.m. while working, she was approached by Mr. Davis.
01:29The victim was approached by Mr. Davis.
01:32The victim reported that Mr. Davis grabbed her by her back of her head, pulling her by her hair with one hand and by her throat with the other.
01:41He forcefully escorted her down a stairway and toward the parking garage while maintaining his grip on the back of her head.
01:49Upon reaching the parking garage, the victim reported that Mr. Davis released her, at which point she was able to run towards her co-workers for safety.
01:59The victim reported sustaining minor injuries, including visible bruising to her left arm at the time the report was made and she sought medical attention.
02:07The woman who reported the incident is identified in court filings as Davis' ex-girlfriend, Courtney Rossel.
02:13Police said she had been in a relationship with Davis previously and that the alleged incident occurred about one month after their split.
02:21The victim further reported that she has known Mr. Davis since 2022 and they were previously involved in an intimate relationship for approximately five months, which ended about a month prior to the incident.
02:33She stated she had blocked all forms of communication with Mr. Davis after the relationship ended.
02:41During the course of the investigation, lead detective Gary Florencio obtained and reviewed video surveillance footage that corroborates key elements of the victim's statement.
02:49As a result of the diligent and hard work of our Special Victims Unit, an arrest warrant has been issued for Gervonta Bryant Davis on the following charges.
03:02Battery, false imprisonment, and attempted kidnapping.
03:07The investigation determined that Mr. Davis used force to restrain and attempt to remove the victim from the location against her will.
03:13The victim was only able to escape when Mr. Davis released his hold to retrieve his vehicle.
03:19Apparently, Tank has not turned himself in yet, and Miami Gardens Police are actively working to locate and arrest Davis.
03:27Annalise Eric, the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, and Miami Gardens Police are currently searching for Gervonta Tank Davis,
03:36the professional boxer who has a history of domestic violence charges.
03:40In this latest case, he has not yet turned himself in to authorities.
03:44Now, at last update, Davis is still not in custody.
03:47Local 10 did reach out to attorneys representing Davis to find out if or when he plans to turn himself in.
03:53So far, we've not received a response.
03:56This isn't the first time Davis has faced assault or domestic violence-related allegations during his career,
04:02and his offering legal troubles have steadily followed him for years.
04:05He is one of the most exciting and ferocious fighters in the world, bar none, just period, full stop.
04:12But there's always something like this that Gervonta is seemingly dealing with.
04:16I mean, look, he's 30-0-1.
04:19He had one draw against Lamont Roach.
04:20He's got 28 knockouts.
04:21I mean, he virtually knocks out, just spark out cold, everyone he fights.
04:26But he's got these things that happened to him, and it's already cost him in a massive way financially.
04:32The Jake Paul-Anthony-Joshua fight was not ever supposed to happen.
04:38That was obviously, like Lucas said, supposed to be tank.
04:41But Jake has to pull out because he gets accused of these really horrible things,
04:45and now it just got a whole lot more serious.
04:48Because, look, you could argue Gervonta can afford to lose the money.
04:51He's done tremendously well for himself.
04:53But when you're talking about three serious charges like that, I mean, felony charges,
04:58you're obviously potentially looking at prison time and years and years in prison.
05:03And this is something that Gervonta Davis is now going to have to deal with,
05:07as the U.S. Marshals, like Lucas also said, on his heels, trying to track him down,
05:13trying to throw those cuffs on him and bring him into custody.
05:15Davis' legal history goes back nearly a decade.
05:18In 2017, he was charged with first-degree aggression after allegedly raising his hands on a friend.
05:24However, this is the same case that led to the cancellation of his scheduled fight with Jake Paul
05:29because the civil lawsuit and allegations surfaced before the bout.
05:33Problems. We've seen him in a domestic violence situation.
05:36He's been arrested multiple times in the past, and now he's got new problems
05:39because the 26-year-old has been hit with 14 criminal charges.
05:43In an appearance on The Last Stand podcast with Brian Custer, Davis opened up about his emotions,
05:49giving fans a rare look at the man behind the fierce persona.
05:52What do you wish that people knew about Gervonta Tank Davis that maybe they don't understand?
05:58I'm funny. I'm funny. I'm fun to be around. I'm human.
06:04I'm not somebody that's, that's, that's, that's, I feel as though that's like, I'm going to say,
06:12um, bougie or, or stuck up or anything like that.
06:16I feel as though a lot of people see that they, they go off my, um, my boxing,
06:22and how I am in a, in a ring and they, and they, and they, uh, use that as a, um,
06:28How they make judgment on you.
06:29Yeah. How they make judgment on me. Um, I feel as though that I'm much more, uh,
06:35of a person than just a boxer. You know what I mean? I feel as though, um,
06:41I'm not somebody that's just mean or, or, uh, stuck up 24 seven.
06:45Like that's just me in the ring. You know what I mean?
06:48Or me making weight.
06:50Davis has previously acknowledged his struggles with controlling his anger and has publicly
06:54apologized for past incidents. In interviews and statements following earlier legal troubles,
07:00he admitted that his actions were wrong and expressed regret for the harm caused to others.
07:04Davis emphasized that he is actively working on himself by attending anger management classes,
07:09aiming to better handle conflicts and emotions, both inside and outside the ring. He has said that
07:15boxing has always been his outlet, but he recognizes the need for professional guidance to
07:19prevent personal issues from escalating into legal problems passenger in his car,
07:24get into a Camaro and flee from the crash scene, which is illegal. That's a hit and run.
07:29You're not allowed to do that. Meanwhile, the four people in the car that was hit in the accident,
07:34like I said, were all hospitalized for their injuries. So there was an investigation that's
07:38been going on because this incident went down in November, November 5th, just days after
07:43Gervonta's big knockout victory over Leo Santa Cruz, a sensational performance by Gervonta Davis.
07:49So officials have been investigating. They say they have video, they have witnesses,
07:54and they have hit him with 14 criminal charges, including hit and run, including driving on a
07:59suspended license and several more. And if convicted on all counts, this is the important part. He could go
08:05to prison for more than seven years. Gervonta Davis, 26 years old in the prime of his career to go to
08:13prison for seven years for this. This is a big deal, guys. Yeah, this is a big deal. And all I think
08:19about is, is the fact that he's constantly been getting in trouble. And so sometimes these things
08:24catch up with you fleeing a site. I mean, with your actual car there, I don't know how he thought he
08:29was going to get away with that because the car is still there, but just for people that are,
08:34when there's smoke, there's fire. And as you said, he's had so many different instances. So you kind
08:38of figured at a certain point, things would catch up with him. Yeah, look, these are very serious
08:43charges. I feel bad that the people got hurt. Ultimately, I, and this is just a prediction
08:47here. I think that Gervonta Davis, he just has so much money behind him and so much money he could
08:53possibly make in the future. Miami Gardens police have confirmed that they are actively working with
08:58the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force to locate Davis following the issuance of an arrest warrant.
09:03The collaboration with federal authorities highlights the seriousness of the case and the
09:07urgency to apprehend Davis, who is considered a fugitive until he surrenders or is taken into
09:12custody. Police have stated that the warrant was obtained after reviewing surveillance footage,
09:17witness statements, and medical reports, which they say corroborate the alleged victim's account.
09:22The involvement of the U.S. Marshals allows law enforcement to extend their reach beyond local
09:27jurisdictions, using nationwide resources to track his whereabouts.
09:31Affirmed. They are working now with the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force to locate and arrest
09:38Gervonta Davis. This doesn't just happen automatically. When someone has an active warrant and law
09:44enforcement believes they may be difficult to locate, avoiding contact, or capable of crossing jurisdictions,
09:51U.S. Marshals are often brought in. For you guys wondering, what exactly do the U.S. Marshals do? I got you.
09:57They are the oldest federal law enforcement agency in the country, operating under the Department of Justice,
10:04and they specialize in the following. Tracking and arresting fugitives, assisting with high-profile warrants,
10:11running joint task forces with local police, protecting federal courts, and judges.
10:16So when the Marshals get involved, it's not like some small thing. It signals that authorities are treating the situation
10:22with a heightened level of urgency.
10:25The most recent legal issue involving Tank actually resulted in his arrest prior to this latest warrant.
10:31Actor and martial artist Michael Jai White weighed in on Davis' previous arrest,
10:35which stemmed from an alleged altercation with his ex-girlfriend over personal issues,
10:39including reported tensions around their son's sexuality.
10:42White expressed surprise and disappointment that a professional fighter
10:46with so much discipline and training could be involved in such a serious incident,
10:50emphasizing that violence against women is never acceptable,
10:53and that fame or athletic skill doesn't justify harmful behavior.
10:57He used the situation to highlight how actions off the field can damage a person's reputation and legacy,
11:03comparing it to other high-profile celebrity controversies.
11:06White stressed that athletes and public figures carry extra responsibility,
11:10and that situations like this serve as a reminder that accountability matters,
11:14both legally and in the court of public opinion.
11:17Violence?
11:18Well, for...
11:19That's some weird shit right there.
11:20...for, you know, allegedly beating up the mother of two of his kids.
11:26Hmm.
11:27So I guess this happened on Father's Day outside of her home.
11:31Uh, a verbal abuse, a verbal dispute happened.
11:36Um, I guess what she said is that Gervonta was upset over personal matters
11:45and Gervonta having insecurities about the sexuality of their son.
11:49Hmm.
11:49So I guess maybe their son might be gay or something of that sort.
11:54Hmm.
11:54Uh, he showed up to pick up the kids.
11:59Uh, the argument escalated, and then after, uh, Gervonta put the kids in the car,
12:05she alleges that, uh, Gervonta punched her in the rear of her head with a closed fist
12:09and slapped her in the face.
12:12Also, they suggested there had been approximately 10 undocumented physical altercations
12:18between the two of them.
12:19Uh, he got arrested, and he's out on $10,000 bond.
12:22Davis was released from custody after posting bond, reportedly set at $10,000.
12:28What drew extra attention at that time was the way he was escorted out of jail.
12:32Corrections officers walked with him as he bonded out, keeping reporters at a distance,
12:36which led some outlets to question whether he received unusual or preferential treatment
12:41compared with how other defendants are typically released.
12:44While authorities did not officially confirm special privileges,
12:47the scene sparked debate about how high-profile figures are handled by law enforcement during bond
12:52releases.
12:52Being out on bond allowed Tank to remain free pending legal proceedings,
12:57but it did not lessen the seriousness of the allegations or the ongoing legal scrutiny he faces.
13:02This video shows Javonte Davis getting a heavy escort before bonding out of jail.
13:09Now, some are asking, was this special treatment?
13:12Local 10's Leanne Motohong is outside the jail in West Miami-Dade with much more.
13:17I've been at Local 10 for 15 years, and I don't remember another escort like this one, except for one.
13:23A bondsman I spoke to said, this type of escort by corrections is not common.
13:28Buster Javonte Davis bonded out of jail on Friday, charged with misdemeanor domestic violence battery.
13:35He left through the normal inmate release door, but what was unusual were the three corrections officers escorting him,
13:42one of them guiding him by the arm as reporters were kept at bay.
13:46The scene raised questions about whether this was a form of preferential treatment.
13:50Maybe if it's a high-profile client, like an athlete or a politician,
13:53you might see that in certain circumstances to keep the crowd control down, but you don't see it very often.
13:57But the situation is different this time, with more serious charges.
14:01If Davis is convicted on the charges stemming from the Miami Gardens incident,
14:05he could be facing serious jail time given the severity of the alleged offenses.
14:09The arrest warrant includes felony charges such as battery, false imprisonment, and attempted kidnapping,
14:15all of which carry significant penalties under Florida law.
14:17Convictions for these crimes can result in multiple years behind bars,
14:21potentially ranging from several years to over a decade,
14:25depending on the judge's sentencing and any prior criminal history.
14:28Beyond prison, a conviction could also lead to probation, mandatory counseling,
14:33and permanent criminal records, which would severely impact both his personal and professional life.
14:38For a professional athlete like Tank, this could mean loss of fighting licenses,
14:42canceled bouts, and damaged endorsements, effectively halting his boxing career.
14:46I mean, for Javante's next fights, his career going forward,
14:50well, one, I think he has to focus on this case, right?
14:54You know, if he is convicted, it could lead to some jail time,
14:57and that's obviously going to postpone any plans he has for any fights in the future.
15:02You know, this incident made it so that Anthony Joshua went in and took his spot for the Jake Paul fight
15:09that happened a few weeks back last December at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida.
15:14I know if they do resolve this issue, they work something out,
15:20that the next couple of fights for Tank are going to be very much put under a microscope.
15:25He's going to have a lot of potentially negative attention, criticism from the public on those fights.
15:31I know there's lucrative, lucrative rematches there for him with Lamont Roach,
15:37with Pitbull Cruz, amongst other fighters.
15:39The winner of potentially Shakur Stevenson and Teofimo Lopez would be a big fight for him as well,
15:45but you've got to ask yourself, too, how are the commissions going to react to this,
15:49and if they're going to give any issues to him in terms of licensing him for fights in their state.
15:55It's important to say this clearly.
15:56These are accusations at this point.
15:58He hasn't been convicted of anything.
16:00It is truly sad to see a champion like Tank Davis getting caught up in serious problems,
16:05seemingly because he cannot control his hands outside the ring.
16:08Tank is one of the most gifted boxers of his generation,
16:11someone who worked his way from nothing to the very top through discipline, sacrifice, and raw talent.
16:18Yet moments like this threaten to undo everything he has built.
16:22When an athlete reaches that level, they are not just fighting for themselves anymore.
16:25They represent fans, family, and a legacy that lasts far beyond championships.
16:30Even allegations alone can be damaging, costing him major opportunities, endorsements, and fights,
16:36as seen with the cancellation of the Jake Paul bout.
16:39It feels like he is throwing away years of hard work for actions that could have been avoided with better self-control and decision-making.
16:46The problem with your hands, my nigga, you about to throw everything away because you got a problem with your hands.
16:52And I have to say allegedly, but at the same time, it's bad and it doesn't look good for you, Tank,
16:58because you got a habit where we actually see footage of you doing the same exact things
17:04when you grab that female at that sports arena, you grab that female by the back of her neck,
17:12and you drag that out the same way this female was describing.
17:16And see, the sad part about it is,
17:18we can all tell that this is about to become a money grab because
17:23if this is a situation that happened three months ago,
17:28why are you filing charges now?
17:32Because it's over with?
17:34The relationship is in the garbage?
17:36And whoever's advising him is telling him to let you go
17:39because everything is getting ready to go in the garbage?
17:41I just, it frustrates me and it irritates me
17:45that every successful black man,
17:48especially the athletes they're down for, is a woman.
17:55Tank, you gotta do better.
17:58You the best of the best at your game.
18:00You gonna throw everything away, have these females,
18:02you're gonna have these females sue you
18:04and take all your money through lawsuits
18:05and put you in jail?
18:09And put you in jail, my nigga?
18:10Come on, come on, Tank.
18:12You gots to do better.
18:15Hassan Cabal is a Tank Davis fan.
18:17I love a little brother.
18:19The recent arrest warrant for Gervonta Davis
18:21marks a major low point in the career
18:23of one of boxing's biggest names.
18:25Miami Gardens police have issued the warrant
18:28on charges of battery, false imprisonment
18:30and attempted kidnapping tied to an alleged aggression incident
18:33and officers are working with the U.S. Marshal's
18:36fugitive task force to locate him.
18:38This legal trouble already led to the cancellation
18:41of his high-profile fight, derailing a major opportunity
18:44and sparking intense debate among fans.
18:47While Davis has enjoyed an impressive undefeated run
18:49in the ring, repeated allegations and escalating charges
18:52threaten to overshadow his achievements
18:54and could have serious consequences
18:56for his reputation and future in boxing.
18:59I've heard you say that you don't like to bring your family
19:01to fights that you feel like are gonna be a war.
19:04Do you feel like this is a fight
19:06that you'll bring your family to?
19:08Nah.
19:10I don't think so.
19:15Nah, I won't bring them there.
19:17Why, do you feel like it's gonna be a war?
19:18No, I think it's more so lead the kids and the women home.
19:26Yeah.
19:26For sure.
19:26And let the men handle business?
19:28Yeah.
19:28Even my moms.
19:29We gotta stay home.
19:30Really?
19:31But my mom is like, she's tough.
19:34But, nah.
19:37See, moms being at the fight is a mainstay.
19:39You know what I mean?
19:39Like, we've seen her at the fights,
19:41we've seen her talking to you,
19:42and you're like,
19:42Mom, what's up?
19:43You know, and then get back.
19:44But even this one.
19:45Nah.
19:46No mom deuce.
19:46Nah, it can get ugly.
19:49This is strictly business.
19:50On both sides.
19:51This is a 50-50 fight.
19:53What do you think about this situation
19:54and its impact on Tank's legacy?
