10:15Here, the counting really did not start at 10 o'clock.
10:18It started a little later, and there were then a little few glitches because of some technical
10:23snags.
10:24That held up the entire counting, and which is the reason why, by the time we crossed
10:30around, say, 1 o'clock, just two wards had been declared, the winners for the two wards
10:35had been declared.

12:40But what I meant to say, the real Hindutva is how we lead the life, your social life,
12:47your political life.
12:48And I think Ignatj Sindhav is a prime example of that.
12:51So, the parties here certainly believe that what the mandate that they have received
12:56is basically for the development that they have done for the last few years that we have
13:00seen in Mumbai, like the construction of the coastal road, the metros, the Atal Setu, the
13:05various projects, the infrastructure projects that have been taken in.
13:08And as Piyush Goyal had said, that the city needs to be made into a giga city, not just
13:14a mega city that it exists as.
13:16And that's one of the reasons why that mandate that they have been given to the BJP as well
13:21as the Shiv Sena is for the development of the city.

13:35Vidya, when is the celebration likely of Eknath Shinde?
13:39We spoke to him some time back.

14:09Well, they are planning.
14:10So they did have bursting of firecrackers.
14:12You know, the BJP office, I can just show you, the BJP office is just a few steps away.
14:19This is also office of some of the BJP leaders.
14:21But then, you know, this particular office of the Eknath Shinde faction is somewhere where,
14:28you know, just a little bit of flags that you can see, while the rest of it is entirely
14:32covered by the BJP.
14:34And this really goes on to show that the BJP wave that the Eknath Shinde faction is really
14:38riding on, that's the one that you really get to see on the street as well.
14:42But the party is very sure that they did burst some firecrackers and exchange some sweets.
14:49But they do have a bigger plan for a bigger celebration when Eknath Shinde steps out of that
14:54bastion of Thane and arrives in Mumbai.
14:56Okay, so Eknath Shinde at present is in Thane and that's where we spoke to him.
15:01We'll be playing that interview shortly.
15:03But let me bring in Devesh as well.
15:05Devesh, we were told that Devendra Fadnivas will be holding a press conference or perhaps
15:10be arriving at the BJP office in some time from now.
15:14What are you picking up in terms of where is the chief minister, when is he likely to
15:20come?
15:21I'm looking at his tweet, which was put out an hour ago.
15:24He had then said that BJP writes history once again at the municipal corporation elections
15:29under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and Working President
15:35Nitin Nabeen and tireless efforts of BJP state president MLA, Ravinder Chawan and others.
15:42Because this victory reflects people's trust in BJP's vision, ensuring progress and development.
15:48So where is Mr. Devesh, Fadnivas and when is he likely to come?
15:56Well, well, we were told that Devesh, Fadnivas will be at the BJP Mumbai office, at the state
16:04office of BJP in Mumbai at around 4 p.m.
16:08But due to some reasons, there are trends which are coming up, there are trends of results
16:14which are coming up.
16:15And that is why it could be, it is being said that it could be that they are waiting for
16:19much more clarity on the numbers that they are actually winning.
16:24Because the trends that we are seeing at some of the wars where counting is going on, some
16:30of the opposition parties like the Shiv Sena, UBT have also gained numbers in some of the
16:36wards where still counting is going on.
16:39And that is why it could be that CM Devendra Fadnivas is waiting for more clarity on the
16:46exact numbers that his party and his coalition party Shiv Sena is getting.
16:52And that is why he could not come at the BJP office.
16:56But BJP office bearers at the BJP office are saying that CM could arrive at any moment and
17:03there could be a celebration at the BJP state office at Nariman Point in Mumbai.
17:09As of now, there are senior office bearers of the BJP party present at the state office and
17:15they are waiting for the chief minister to arrive.

18:28The NCP, Sharad Pawar and NCP, Ajit Pawar are together at 20, a gap of good 70 seats.

18:41Both NCP factions came together just before election to contest against BJP.
18:47But interestingly, BJP has emerged as the largest party in Maharashtra across 29 municipal corporations,
18:54including Pune.
18:55So even now, when the counting is going inside, BJP is almost leading on 90 seats.
19:00And there are almost 52 seats, which are completely clear where the BJP's corporators will be there.
19:05And right now, I'm standing exactly outside of Pune's BJP headquarter,
19:09where you can clearly see all karyakartas are in saffron.

20:58issue but it is very interesting even now the counting is going on and at least now the
21:04indications are getting BJP will emerge again as a single largest party even in Pune. We'll have
21:10to check what happens with Ajit Pawar's faction because almost 14 to 16 seats are getting Ajit Pawar
21:16but the count could raise in upcoming times. Okay let me bring in Ritvik as well who is
21:22from BJP office in Mumbai. Ritvik what are you seeing there? Is there some indication of
21:29Devendra Farnivis coming there because you know there are reports coming that the counting is
21:34still going on and it will take some more time perhaps before the results are finally announced.
21:40Okay we'll try and connect with Ritvik but celebrations across Maharashtra
21:49as BJP led Mahayuti wins in multiple wards across Maharashtra Nashik from Nashik to Pune. These
21:59you know Nashik in particular was seen as the bastion of the Thakres in the past the Pune region
22:06which is the bastion of wars once upon a time of the Pawars that has fallen as well. These bastions
22:13have been breached completely. Ritvik is joining us from the BJP office in Mumbai. Ritvik what are you
22:20seeing there when is Devendra Farnivis likely to come?
22:30Ritvik if you can hear our voice. My question is when is the man of the moment Mr. Devendra Farnivis
22:40is coming? Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. Right now Devendra Farnivis is expected to reach
22:49the BJP headquarters in Mumbai from any time from now onwards. As we can see that he said behind me
22:58and all the BJP leaders and the ministers of BJP have come here to receive him at the BJP headquarters.

25:02nice we'll we'll connect with you so let's look at the big numbers and how does the BMC look like as of
25:11now so the best bus has just arrived look at this it is 117 for BJP plus which is
25:21of course Devendra Farnivis and Eknath Shinde, the BJP and the Shinde Sena. The other side it is
25:28the Uddav Thakre, the MNS, the Sherat Pawar faction coming together so that is how it was. The NCP
25:35Ajit Pawar remember for the BMC elections alone. Looking at the numbers again this is how it is for
25:43the Congress. Lots to think about, lots to worry if they are just at 15 in a 227 member, the ward of
25:54that that is how the 227 wards which are there in BMC. Let's look at Pune, an important city. This is
26:01a satellite town in the outskirts of Mumbai. That is where Sherat Pawar and Ajit Pawar came together.
26:09They were hoping that it will be the name that will be good enough. This will be seen as a Pawar
26:15bastion that has been decimated. The Pawar's at 20 only. The BJP plus is at 90. Looking at, you know,
26:26if you look at it, so again that's where the Shif Sena is at 2. The Congress plus the Thakre group is at 10.
26:39Okay, so let's cut across to the visuals that are coming in from the party office.
26:45Devendra Fadnavis is going to be arriving there any moment now. I'll be cutting to Ritvik for more
26:51details. Ritvik, what do you think worked for Devendra Fadnavis? Do you see him as a journalist
26:58who tracks Mr. Fadnavis as a leader who the BJP thinks will be the right choice for Mumbai? You
27:05know, the route has been put in place for Devendra Fadnavis' movement to the BJP office where he will
27:13be meeting the Karekartas and will also be speaking to them. He will be addressing them. He is the man of
27:19the moment. He will be, he was leading this entire campaign for the BJP in Mumbai. If you speak to
27:25Mr. Fadnavis, extremely humble, maintains that this is a victory of the Prime Minister,
27:31of Home Minister and also the new working president of the BJP, which is Nitin Nabeen,
27:37who will become the party president on 20th when the formal announcement happens after the completion of
27:43the entire exercise and the election. Devendra Fadnavis, 48-year-old MLA from Nagpur, becomes
27:54Chief Minister for the first time and then, you know, he completes one full-year tenure and then
28:01he had to give up that chair because Udav Thakre asserted himself. Then we saw how it all played out.
28:08Here is Devendra Fadnavis returning and ensuring. In 2024, it was about the BJP under Prime Minister
28:17Modi and Devendra Fadnavis as the Chief Minister and the force multiplier. Force multiplier was
28:23certainly Eknath Shinde and the entire Ladki Bahin scheme, which became the talking point across
28:29Maharashtra. Devendra Fadnavis has made history by winning the BMC and dethroning the Thakres.
28:39His humble journey from young councillor to Maharashtra's Chief Minister is truly inspiring
28:44and this victory in the BMC and in multiple, um, multiple local bodies across Maharashtra,
28:52Mr. Fadnavis has only consolidated his position as the right man to govern Maharashtra.

31:01because of this man, Devendra Fadnavis. Remember, his journey has been extremely inspiring.
31:08Somebody who began as the counsellor from Nakpur went on to become an MLA from Nakpur and then
31:17ensured that the growth of the BJP also went hand in hand along with his own success.
31:27Yes. As we play those visuals, it's fascinating to see the man of the moment, Devendra Fadnavis,
31:37and how his journey has been. Lots can be spoken about him. As journalists who have tracked Mr. Fadnavis,
31:48one would say that his journey has been and his rise to prominence. I remember he was a student in
31:56Nakpur, now a three-term chief minister. He is marked by resilience, but there has been also strategic
32:03comebacks amidst all the crisis that he has seen. He was born in 1970. Fadnavis entered politics via
32:12ABVP in the 1980s. He was elected Nakpur's municipal corporation councillor in 1992. He became India's
32:22second youngest mayor at 27 in 1997. He was sown in for the first time as the chief minister of
32:32Maharashtra in 2014 when the BJP had 122 seats. Fadnavis completed full five-year terms and then he was
32:42hoping for a comeback. That did not happen. But Vidya, when we look at these images, Ashish Shailar,
32:49minister in his cabinet standing with him, Pankhaja Munde with Devendra Fadnavis. What was it
32:57that stood out for Mr. Fadnavis in this election? What do you think worked for him?
33:03Well, certainly the development work is what the BJP has been speaking about. And it can be seen in
33:13Mumbai. When you cross the streets of Mumbai, when you cross, say for example, when you cross
33:19Haji Ali area, when you look at the huge mega structures that have been put up about the coastal
33:25road, you know, there are, you know, when you look at it, it just doesn't seem like the old Mumbai that
33:30one used to know. It seems like a mega city, which it deserved to be known as. And that's one of the
33:36reasons why people of Mumbai have really seen that in the last two and a half years, especially,
33:41you know, with Devendra Fadnavis in the state and, you know, the administration of BMC really going in
