00:00The movie has different meaning for everybody that watches it.
00:04More than most movies I've ever had the pleasure of working on.
00:07I like to think it's partly because it celebrates an average human's life.
00:16You know, we go to the movies and we look at extraordinary people doing crazy, extraordinary things,
00:22like saving the world and so on.
00:24Or we look at ordinary people kind of like who get elevated to the seat of something extraordinary.
00:30Following this guy, Robert, my character, as his life just moves through all of the things that most of us are going to experience.
00:38You know, love and parenthood, hopefully, if you've experienced it, and loss and grief.
00:45And there's something really patient and beautiful and human about it.
00:51And it's a reflection for audiences to find their own experiences in it.
00:56But it's somehow, in its own way, finding really, really different meaning and power for anyone different who's watching it.
01:04Do you consider yourself an average bloke?
01:06I do.
01:08I do.
01:09And as, I know, one of the things I think I sometimes wrestle with is I think people look at my life from the outside
01:17and think it's extraordinary or it's, you know, it's something really special.
01:23Deep down, I just see myself as an ordinary person who's lucky enough to do something I love.
01:28But, yeah, I see myself as pretty ordinary on most days and so I can relate, you know,
01:36and I can relate to all of the normal things that happen to my character in this.
