Spotify will raise its U.S. premium subscription price to $12.99 per month starting in February as the company continues investing in new features and creator support.

00:21periodic pricing updates reflect the value of its service and support continued product
00:25improvements and artist benefits. Shares of Spotify edged higher in pre-market trading following
00:31the announcement. The company previously raised U.S. premium prices in 2023 and 2024 and increased
00:38prices in other regions in September. In an update late last year, Spotify said monthly active users
00:44rose 11% to $713 million in the third quarter of 2025, while premium subscribers increased 12%
00:51to $281 million. The company also rolled out new features, including lossless audio,
00:57playlist mixing tools, user messaging, and chat GPT integration.
