00:00:00What a free shot!
00:00:02Oh, what a goal! Oh, look at that!
00:00:04Absolutely phenomenal!
00:00:06Rooney O'Hall!
00:00:08Welcome to Match of the Dead.
00:00:30Seven games and loads of goals on tonight's Match of the Day, including at the Merseyside Derby.
00:00:56And I'm joined in the studio by a red and a blue.
00:00:59Welcome to Wayne Rooney and to Danny Murphy.
00:01:02So Liverpool came into the Derby top of the Premier League with four wins from four.
00:01:06Everton's David Moyes has never won at Anfield.
00:01:09Steve Wilson, watch this one.
00:01:13It's one of the great occasions of any season.
00:01:16And you can probably count the dull ones on the fingers of one hand.
00:01:21Standby for Liverpool against Everton.
00:01:24Football at its most febrile.
00:01:27Oneslott makes four changes to the XI, which started against Atletico on Wednesday.
00:01:32Werth and Isak are both on the bench.
00:01:34Robertson and Frimpong also drop out.
00:01:36In come Kirkes, Bradley, McAllister and Eketike.
00:01:40Everton have made their best start to a season for four years.
00:01:43David Moyes making one change to the side which threw with Villa.
00:01:47Vitaly Michalenko is fit again and replaces Tim Eric Boonham.
00:01:51Allowing James Garner back into his preferred midfield role.
00:01:55Eight played, the vast majority of it has seen Liverpool with the ball at their feet.
00:02:04But Pickford with nothing to do as yet.
00:02:07Gakpo tried to whittle between Idrissa Garnagé and O'Brien and couldn't quite do it.
00:02:12A new man N'Jai.
00:02:17That's nice.
00:02:18Good foot in by Gakpo, won it cleanly.
00:02:21He's back on his feet, the Everton man.
00:02:27Ryan Gravenberg.
00:02:37Salah, beautifully done.
00:02:38And Gravenberg!
00:02:42Oh, it's a lovely goal.
00:02:47The Liverpool have danced and probed in front of Everton for ten minutes.
00:02:52And then they strike, and how they strike.
00:02:57Well, Everton may argue that that was a foul from which Liverpool's move unfolded.
00:03:08But Gravenberg here not picked up and brilliantly found by Salah.
00:03:12And the finish is exceptional.
00:03:15Liverpool lead.
00:03:17And Everton have not come from behind to win in this stadium since 1923.
00:03:27Here's Salah.
00:03:31Good hit!
00:03:33Just too high.
00:03:34Ekiteke wanted a pass, actually.
00:03:36But Mohamed Salah having already provided an assist in this game was looking for a goal.
00:03:41And you've seen him put them away many a time from that kind of position.
00:03:4820 minutes played and the Jota song rings out around Anfield.
00:03:54His last goal for Liverpool was the goal which won this fixture last season.
00:03:59Garner nicely done, Grealish.
00:04:06Beto in the middle.
00:04:08Dewsbury Hall here for Everton.
00:04:10Wasn't far away.
00:04:13Nicely worked down that left-hand side.
00:04:16Good football and encouragement for Everton.
00:04:23It's probably the early start, but for Merseyside Derby Anfield is very quiet.
00:04:27Good football.
00:04:28Good football.
00:04:29Good football.
00:04:30Good football.
00:04:32Good football.
00:04:33Good football.
00:04:34Macalister.
00:04:35A lovely ball.
00:04:36Akechike.
00:04:37Good football.
00:04:392-0 Liverpool.
00:04:40Good football.
00:04:42Well, they've produced two moments of real quality in this game.
00:04:46And they've both resulted in goals.
00:04:48Felted in goals, takes a bow and takes Liverpool into a two-goal lead.
00:04:57Great ball and tucked away in a very composed fashion by Eke Tike.
00:05:06And Liverpool have a two-goal cushion.
00:05:10Players of both sides wearing black armbands today in memory of two former Liverpool players.
00:05:14Joey Jones, twice a European champion with the club, and former striker Bobby Graham, who both passed away recently.
00:05:26Error by Alisson, he's in Manon Jai.
00:05:31And Beto!
00:05:33Very difficult to get that on target from there.
00:05:38Well, Alisson's error.
00:05:39Look how difficult that is for Beto, slightly behind him, hip height, very difficult indeed.
00:05:51Vitaly Mikolenko finds Jack Grealish.
00:05:54That's a lovely ball into Dewsbury Hall.
00:05:57Beto is in the middle, he's pulling it back to Idrissa Garnagay, and Alisson saves.
00:06:01Wasn't a good connection on the end of it by Idrissa Garnagay, and he didn't really trouble Alisson as much as he should have done.
00:06:11Since the second goal, Liverpool have been low-key, and Everton have been the more dangerous side.
00:06:19Eke Tike.
00:06:20Now there's a break on.
00:06:22Cody Gatpo should get there ahead of Keane.
00:06:24There are five forward here, Keane with the half-block, but Gatpo will have another go, and he's picked out Salah beautifully.
00:06:31Salah, comfortable save.
00:06:34Well, a really good Liverpool counter-attack that didn't quite pay the dividends it promised.
00:06:41It's a great touch from Mohamed Salah, but not much power on the shot.
00:06:49Bradley.
00:06:49Defecting off Idrissa Garnagay to the path of James Garnagay.
00:07:00Here's Grealish.
00:07:06That's a good ball by Grealish and Dye, and Idrissa Garnagay has scored for Everton.
00:07:13It's a really good goal.
00:07:15And it's changed the whole complexion at Anfield.
00:07:22And you'd have to say Everton deserve it.
00:07:27Really intelligent by Ilyman and Jai to touch it back into the path of Idrissa Garnagay.
00:07:34It's Liverpool 2, Everton 1.
00:07:37Canate's header.
00:07:44Dewsbury Hall first onto it.
00:07:45Ilyman and Jai here.
00:07:47Lovely feet.
00:07:49He's found Grealish.
00:07:50Plenty forward here for Everton.
00:07:52Grealish's little cross.
00:07:53Idrissa Garnagay.
00:07:55And Alisson under pressure.
00:07:58Play on, says Darren England.
00:07:59Does he?
00:08:00No, he has given the free kick.
00:08:02Well, that is a warning for Liverpool.
00:08:04Should be a warning for Liverpool.
00:08:06Awkwardness for Alisson.
00:08:12The Everton substitute, the judge to have jumped into the Liverpool keeper, which seems fair enough on the replay.
00:08:20Liverpool with Soboslai and now Salah.
00:08:23And it's four against Everton's five.
00:08:26Salah finds Florian Wirtz, who steps inside and Tarkovsky covering brilliantly for Everton.
00:08:32And Liverpool have a corner.
00:08:35They might have had a third here.
00:08:36Back for Tarkovsky.
00:08:38That's a really good defending.
00:08:41Soboslai's corner.
00:08:42Canate's header and it hit Grealish.
00:08:46Shouts of handball from those behind the goal.
00:08:51It's a good header by Canate and that is clearly the ribs of Grealish.
00:08:57Dewsbury Hall.
00:08:58Challenged by Jones.
00:09:00Good challenge by Idrissa Garnagay in return.
00:09:04And that's a foul.
00:09:07That's a painful one.
00:09:09Jack Grealish caught.
00:09:16And
00:09:16Dewsbury Hall has been booked here.
00:09:21And I think it's for taking the free kick before the whistle had gone.
00:09:24The referee blows his whistle and Liverpool have won the 247th Merseyside Derby and continue their 100% record.
00:09:39Liverpool 2, Everton 1.
00:09:41Taking everything into account that we had to play our third game in seven days and playing Wednesday evening, having the early kick-off, taking that all into account and then playing the Derby and winning it.
00:09:55We have a great first-half performance.
00:09:57It's good.
00:09:58People keep saying that being 2-0 up is the worst thing Liverpool can be.
00:10:01No, no, but I think we had also the opportunity to score more, but so one, then you know, especially in this game, Everton, with the defence that they have and they keep coming, keep coming, then you have to defend.
00:10:18But next time, we don't concede.
00:10:24I think somebody said to me, I think they had maybe nine attempts at goal and a couple, three or four on target and we had seven.
00:10:30So maybe in the end of the day, there wasn't so much between it.
00:10:33No problems, the players are doing really well and we just pulled up a little bit short against one of the best teams in the league, if not the best.
00:10:41And, you know, it shows that we're coming a long way.
00:10:44You got a yellow card after the final whistle for a disagreement with the referee.
00:10:47Can I ask you what that was for?
00:10:50He gave Kiernan a yellow card for taking a quick free kick and I was like, I was like, what are you doing?
00:10:55Like, you can't give, we want to get the, we're losing, do you know what I mean?
00:11:00Like, we want to get the ball back in play and carry on playing and he gives him a yellow card.
00:11:05It baffles me, that's so unheard of, I've never heard of that in my life.
00:11:09So I was just saying that to him and then also I was saying, where'd you get three minutes from and one minute in the first half for extra time?
00:11:15I've never heard of that either.
00:11:17Come on, usually it's four or five minutes, isn't it?
00:11:20So, yeah, listen, it is what it is.
00:11:24You know, we move on.
00:11:27Yeah, and then I didn't even know that he gave me a yellow actually, so that's news to me.
00:11:32Well, he knows now.
00:11:33And he also talked about added time at the end of the game, but really it wasn't the second half where the game was won.
00:11:40It was a very different second half from the first where Liverpool put it beyond Everton in the end.
00:11:45Yeah, they were really bright and sharp first half.
00:11:47I think he made some changes which helped them, the freshness.
00:11:50But I thought what they did really well is utilise the space behind Everton's midfield three and the back four.
00:11:55The gaps were too big and Liverpool were really intelligent in how they got the ball in there early.
00:12:00We see early on, there's the Everton midfield three, locked in on their opponents without really thinking about the space behind them.
00:12:09I kind of get it early on, but they get caught out.
00:12:10This time it's Kierkegaard from the left back position.
00:12:13Terrific ball.
00:12:14There's the space.
00:12:15Yeah, maybe the back four could squeeze up a little bit there, but the midfield's job early on, condense that space, be compact.
00:12:21Then they're on to the back four.
00:12:24They actually defend this one pretty well and get away with it, but it was an early warning for them, to be honest.
00:12:29Gravenberg, the holding midfielder, plays the ball and then he just continues his run because they switch off and there's that big gap again we're talking about.
00:12:38When you're playing against players of such quality, they're going to rotate positions.
00:12:41They're going to come in off the wide areas.
00:12:44The deep midfield is bright.
00:12:45He's brilliant, by the way.
00:12:46He's been terrific the last three games.
00:12:48So Bozlai in the familiar role.
00:12:49Look, they're so preoccupied with looking at the ball that the gap behind them, they're not thinking about.
00:12:54And maybe the communication between the back line and the midfield wasn't great.
00:12:58And again, they get let off the hook here.
00:13:00So Bozlai free on the edge of the box.
00:13:02I think it's Tarkovsky gets the block on this occasion.
00:13:06Ekotike dropped into these lovely little pockets.
00:13:08He likes doing that.
00:13:10Gakpo swapped places with him.
00:13:12And then, of course, good players.
00:13:14They find the spare man in the hole.
00:13:18And when you continually give up that space, as Everton did, you're going to be under the cosh.
00:13:23And at times they were hanging on and Liverpool were really dominant in that first half.
00:13:27Again, that man I've talked about, Gravenberg.
00:13:29He's in that space, a holding midfielder.
00:13:31He's gone past McAllister.
00:13:33He's gone past Sobozlai.
00:13:34Super little pass into the forward of Ekotike, who gets another goal and did really well this afternoon.
00:13:41And to be fair to Everton in the second half, they must have talked about it because they were more compact.
00:13:46They won more second balls.
00:13:47They condensed that space more and didn't get too preoccupied with what was ahead of them.
00:13:51And from there, they got a foundation into the game.
00:13:53But job done first half, really bright.
00:13:55Yeah, they did improve Everton, but could they have done more to stop the goals?
00:14:00Yeah, I think they could have.
00:14:01I think the goals were really poor goals for Everton to concede.
00:14:06And, you know, when you go into Anfield, you want to be tight, you want to be solid and not give any easy chances away.
00:14:12And I just felt the goals were too easy for Liverpool to score.
00:14:16So if we look here, you look at Garner Guy in particular in the middle of the pitch.
00:14:21As Gravenberg lays the ball off, he just carried on his run.
00:14:23And Michael Keane gets sucked across, I think, too far.
00:14:26And then the minute that happens, Tarkowski should come across to cover him.
00:14:30But he doesn't.
00:14:31He goes too late.
00:14:32And Gravenberg carries on his run.
00:14:34And it's a wonderful ball and an unbelievable finish.
00:14:38And the second goal here, I think, when you look at the back line of Everton,
00:14:42if you look at them there, they never get up.
00:14:45They never get compact.
00:14:45They never get together.
00:14:46They never get on one line.
00:14:48And as Danny said, with Medeca TK, he's a good player.
00:14:51He's really clever here.
00:14:52He can see that Mikulenko is deeper.
00:14:55He knows he can stay in behind Michael Keane.
00:14:59And then Michael Keane can't get back.
00:15:03Tarkowski doesn't cover quick enough.
00:15:05But just here, if you look at Tarkowski, I think if he goes with his left leg,
00:15:08he blocks the shot.
00:15:09He doesn't.
00:15:09He shortens his stride.
00:15:11And then goes with his right leg there.
00:15:13And then that allows Ekaterka to get a shot off.
00:15:15And it's a fantastic finish.
00:15:16And from there, it makes it very difficult for Everton to get back in the game.
00:15:19Don't you think, Wayne, that some of the confusion comes from Liverpool swapping positions a lot
00:15:23and then they're in between and they don't know who's picking who up?
00:15:27Yeah, I do.
00:15:28But I think on the second goal there, John Pickford plays a long ball.
00:15:31So it's quite easy for Michael Keane, Tarkowski, the leaders in there to make sure they get up
00:15:37and they get on one lap because the minute you don't, that's what happens.
00:15:40They punish you.
00:15:41The BBC drama series, The City is Al's reference there, by Hugo Ekaterka, clearly a big fan.
00:15:46All episodes available now on iPlayer, should you want to go and watch it.
00:15:50Look, as far as Liverpool's performance goes, Danny, again, they weren't at their best.
00:15:56Are there signs that they are going to kick into gear, maybe after the next international break,
00:16:01before then, later?
00:16:02What do you think?
00:16:03I think there's good signs because in most matches they've had great moments.
00:16:06I thought midweek was a really good performance overall, although they had a little spell in the second half.
00:16:10But today, the more obvious thing was the fatigue from Wednesday night in the second half as the game wore on.
00:16:17You could see that.
00:16:18But still so many new players forming relationships and understanding what each other does.
00:16:22You know, Ekaterka is different to Isak.
00:16:24So if you're playing with either one, you have to learn their traits and their characteristics.
00:16:29So to win five out of five, not playing at your best is a phenomenal start for them and actually a really good sign.
00:16:35Let's see if we can do any better for you, Wayne, with the next one,
00:16:38because it's been a tough start to the season for Ruben Amorim's Manchester United.
00:16:43And they face the Chelsea side looking to bounce back from midweek Champions League defeat by Bayern Munich.
00:16:48Your commentator for this one is Guy Mowbrie.
00:16:50Of all Manchester United's many problems, the one highlighted most by Ruben Amorim has been not converting chances.
00:17:00And with that in mind, Benjamin Shasko needs to start paying a return on his big money move from Leipzig ASAP.
00:17:07The giant Slovenian striker stays in the side today for his second start in the Premier League,
00:17:12despite being fairly anonymous in the Manchester derby last Sunday.
00:17:16Chelsea's Moises Caicedo, well, he's scored twice from midfield already this season.
00:17:21He only scored twice in the whole of last season, including a cracker here to make it 1-1 in early November.
00:17:27It's a grim day in a grim time for Manchester United.
00:17:34And Chelsea aim to make it a blue day with a first win here since 2013.
00:17:41It does go without saying, but let's say it anyway.
00:17:45Conditions will play a big part in this.
00:17:48It's absolutely filthy.
00:17:51Helped on by Shasko and Bumau is caught by Sanchez.
00:17:55It's going to be a free game, but what else?
00:17:59Were the defenders covering sufficiently?
00:18:03Peter Banks has a big decision to make.
00:18:07Red card for Robert Sanchez.
00:18:11Shasko makes a difference, quite possibly for the first time in a Manchester United shirt,
00:18:17by helping it on to Mburmo, who's been trying his best in every single game.
00:18:26He's off.
00:18:26He's got to go, says Sam Allardyce.
00:18:29So Alex Ferguson was asking for red and got his wish.
00:18:32Philip Jorgensen is going to come on and Estabao is going to be the player replaced.
00:18:42No arguments about the challenge.
00:18:45It was a goal-scoring opportunity.
00:18:50Who says it?
00:18:50It is Bruno Fernandes straight into the wall, and Bumau over the bar.
00:18:56Deflated that way.
00:19:05Ruben Amirim has doubled down, trebled down, and quadrupled down,
00:19:10but he won't change his system.
00:19:12The quotes get more interesting, by the way.
00:19:15Yesterday, no one, not even the Pope, will make me change.
00:19:21And by Masraoui.
00:19:23Lodded into Bruno Fernandes!
00:19:26He had to look once, he had to look twice.
00:19:29The flag has stayed down.
00:19:32And he starts celebrating a 1-0 Manchester United lead.
00:19:36Let's see if VAR will bring anything up as regards offside.
00:19:44I think this will stand.
00:19:47But they'll check it to the millimetre.
00:19:51Is it Bruno Fernandes' 100th goal for Manchester United or not?
00:19:56It is!
00:19:59Manchester United 1-0 Chelsea.
00:20:01Chelsea now.
00:20:01Turns out, the move was perfectly timed.
00:20:08The finish was perfect to beat Jorgensen.
00:20:13Manchester United 1-0 and a man-up.
00:20:17Well, this has to be their day, doesn't it?
00:20:20First thing that's gone against them there, it's a yellow card for Casimiro.
00:20:26Challenge that he didn't really have to make.
00:20:28Six wins out of 33 visits to Old Trafford in the Premier League for Chelsea.
00:20:38Those six wins all under different managers.
00:20:42Jaupedro takes it on and then loses out to Masraoui.
00:20:45He's got his hands outstretched, claiming he was clipped.
00:20:48The challenge on Jaupedro is being looked at by Craig Paulson, the VAR.
00:20:52So we'll have a look at it too.
00:20:55And as we do, we get the message all being checked and cleared.
00:21:01Across comes for Farno.
00:21:03Is he quick enough?
00:21:05Not quite.
00:21:05It's going to be a corner.
00:21:11Bruno Fernandes is nearby.
00:21:13Should he be wanted?
00:21:15And he is.
00:21:16Here's Masraoui.
00:21:17Jürgensen decides not to bother.
00:21:23Knocked back into the only place where there wasn't a red shirt.
00:21:26There's one there.
00:21:26And there's one there.
00:21:28It's Casimiro.
00:21:30It's 2-0.
00:21:33Headed in by the Brazilian.
00:21:36But made by a towering Luke Shaw leap.
00:21:40He took off.
00:21:45He actually didn't get anything on it, but Maguire did.
00:21:50And Casimiro did the rest.
00:21:56There's Impermo, but his swipe didn't make connection.
00:22:01Kukure has made connection there with Masraoui.
00:22:04And he's going to be yellow-carded for it.
00:22:06Kukure has a look, has another look, and jumps into the tackle.
00:22:15You know what?
00:22:15At first, that looked as though he just didn't know Masraoui was coming.
00:22:18He knew exactly where he was.
00:22:20He left the floor, and it's not a good tackle at all.
00:22:24Yellow's the least he deserved.
00:22:29Andres Santos.
00:22:29Casimiro has a hold of him.
00:22:33And it is a free kick.
00:22:35Casimiro is on a yellow card.
00:22:37Casimiro's going to be dismissed.
00:22:39It's going to be 10 versus 10.
00:22:41That could be a game-changer.
00:22:43It will certainly change the Chelsea attitude on the stroke of half-time.
00:22:49The most experienced player on the pitch has just done that.
00:22:52George.
00:23:07Fernandes.
00:23:10Augusto gets a corner, playing it against Shaw.
00:23:13And even Amarim has spoken of his side's need to be more clinical in both boxes,
00:23:22as James puts another cross in.
00:23:23And it's in now.
00:23:27Chalabar's headed home.
00:23:32Amarim now knows he and his players have even more work to do.
00:23:37Supercross from Rhys James.
00:23:39It hung delightfully in the air.
00:23:41And Chalabar watching it all the way onto his head.
00:23:49Vergata.
00:23:51Gives it away to James.
00:23:53The atmosphere changes.
00:23:55But Bruno Fernandes has won the ball.
00:23:56It wasn't a great touch by James.
00:23:58And Fernandes is away from him to shoot.
00:24:01Jorgensen has kept Chelsea in it.
00:24:05That goes in.
00:24:06It's all over.
00:24:07The goalkeeper pressed into action just minutes into the match.
00:24:13That's his best bit of action.
00:24:16That's going in from Manchester United's talisman.
00:24:23Ruben Amarim cannot keep still.
00:24:26He needs this today.
00:24:28He has to have this today.
00:24:33Every win, especially in this moment, is important against a great opponent.
00:24:38But I think we start the game in the right way.
00:24:42We were really aggressive.
00:24:44Of course, the centre from Chelsea helped us to dominate the game.
00:24:50Then we scored two goals.
00:24:52And then we try to complicate our game again.
00:24:55It's always complicated with us.
00:24:57Cole Palmer, is that purely just to protect the injury that he's got?
00:25:01No, Cole this morning, he did a test to play this game.
00:25:05It was not 100%.
00:25:06He did a fantastic effort for the club, for the teammates, for the team.
00:25:12You want to perform.
00:25:13You want to put the best performance as you can out there.
00:25:15But at the end of the day, what matters the most is getting points.
00:25:18And we're not getting the points we wanted until now.
00:25:20Today we got the three points.
00:25:22And that's the main thing for today.
00:25:24The red card completely changed the game.
00:25:27And after three minutes, then it became difficult.
00:25:30And then after probably the red card for them, again, 10v10,
00:25:33changed a little bit the game for us.
00:25:36But overall, I think absolutely we need to start the game in a better way.
00:25:42Danny, three minutes is the earliest that a Premier League goalkeeper has been sent off in 30 years.
00:25:48What did you make of Robert Sanchez's dismissal?
00:25:50Well, I think it's the right decision.
00:25:52I thought United started the game actually just before that really quickly
00:25:56with a good tempo and some tenacity about them.
00:25:59Terrific head here from Czesco.
00:26:01And Mbruma loves to run in behind.
00:26:02And I just, he loses his time in and his position.
00:26:06Just a rush of blood early in the game.
00:26:07Catches him on the knee.
00:26:08It's a difficult one.
00:26:11The referee's got to send him off, really.
00:26:12There will be some conversation about the fact whether he got the ball or not.
00:26:16But you never get away with those as a goalkeeper when you take someone out on the edge of the box.
00:26:20So it was the right decision and gave United then the platform to go on and dominate the early stages of the game.
00:26:27Eventually, Manchester United also down to ten men in that game.
00:26:33When Casemiro was sent off, as we heard in the commentary, one of the most experienced players for Manchester United.
00:26:40What did you make of the manner of the two yellows, Wayne?
00:26:43Yeah, it's silly.
00:26:44It's naive for such an experienced player.
00:26:47Manchester United have full control of the game.
00:26:49And if you look here, it's just, there's no need for him to go into that tackle.
00:26:54Chelsea with ten men.
00:26:55And yet the conditions were difficult and it was wet and slippy.
00:26:59But yeah, that's a silly, silly booking.
00:27:00And I felt then maybe Ruben takes him off, takes him off the game.
00:27:04Because you always fear that this happens and he goes and gets a second yellow card.
00:27:08It's harsh.
00:27:09It's a bit harsh.
00:27:09He wins the ball, but then you see his arms there pulling him down.
00:27:14So yeah, I think you don't expect that from such an experienced player.
00:27:19And that could have cost Manchester United today.
00:27:21So thankfully it didn't.
00:27:22But yeah, a bit naive.
00:27:23That's the question really, isn't it?
00:27:25Is why a player of that experience gets himself into that situation?
00:27:28No, Wayne should know.
00:27:31I've been sent to him a few times, but not when we've gone to ten men like that.
00:27:34But no, I think he's, I think that's the only way he knows how to play.
00:27:37I think he's passionate, he's front-footed, he likes to put his foot in and put tackles in.
00:27:43But I think that he could have just held his composure a little bit better than he did today.
00:27:47The second one was really silly.
00:27:49You know, the last thing you do is go make it even.
00:27:53It was a really bad, and apparently, as Ruben Ham said, he was very aware of it and apologetic after him.
00:27:58They got away with it.
00:27:59So obviously Anze Moreska makes the substitution because he needs to bring on a goalkeeper.
00:28:04But it was three substitutes within 21 minutes of the start of the game, which is the earliest any manager's done that in the Premier League.
00:28:11What did you make of his choices?
00:28:14Well, I think bringing an extra defender on is understandable and taking off an attacker.
00:28:18But a few minutes later, then Palmer's off after the 1-0 down.
00:28:22And we felt Neto and Cole Palmer coming off was a really negative move.
00:28:27Now, OK, we trust his word that he's struggling a bit with injuries, but maybe he should have brought him off at the beginning then and left Neto on for his pace.
00:28:34Because even when they got level men's second half, they really didn't have that much of a threat on the break.
00:28:40You know, to beat somebody, to beat people, there was only Jao Pedro who really had that forward thinking mental.
00:28:45They had all imagination on the pitch, didn't they?
00:28:47And I felt that that's what was missing for Chelsea.
00:28:49They had a lot of possession going side to side second half, but they missed that creativity which a Cole Palmer or a Neto could bring them.
00:28:55So I think the change was strange, but thankfully it helped United.
00:29:01Well, the change was strange, but the whole game was strange.
00:29:04Can we read anything into either that result or those performances?
00:29:07No, it was a strange game.
00:29:09And I think obviously when it went to 10 men apiece, I just felt there was no urgency from Chelsea to try and get back in the game.
00:29:16Obviously, they get one goal back from a cross.
00:29:19There was no cross in the box.
00:29:20The two crosses they put in the box, they get one goal and then they have another good chance.
00:29:23It was just slow, it was side to side, and yet the weather was poor.
00:29:28But I think if you're a Chelsea fan, you'd want to see them with a bit more agency to try and get something out of the game.
00:29:34United did defend well, to be fair.
00:29:35They stayed disciplined, they didn't go chasing the game, which was a real clever thing to do when you've got the lead.
00:29:41Now, the pressure has been growing on West Ham's Graham Potter after a poor start to the season.
00:29:47And there were fan protests against the board ahead of their game against Crystal Palace.
00:29:52Commentary comes from Alistair Mann.
00:29:54Graham Potter's requested patience as he shapes his new-look team.
00:30:02A statement from the club a few days ago appears to be supportive,
00:30:06accentuating that his remit is to focus on integrating young players from the academy.
00:30:11That said, two heavy home defeats have led to the footballing scribe speculating.
00:30:16And today, the Hammers go into a third home London derby without Thomas Socek,
00:30:21whose untimely red card was so pivotal against Spurs.
00:30:24Today, Callum Wilson's given his first start since signing,
00:30:28while Alphonse Arreola is preferred in goal.
00:30:31The return to fitness of Adam Wharton is the only alteration to the Palace side,
00:30:36which extended its unbeaten start to the season with a draw against Sunderland.
00:30:40Indeed, they've not lost in any competition in their last 16 matches.
00:30:46Crystal Palace haven't lost on any of their last visits to the London Stadium.
00:30:54West Ham haven't won here since February.
00:31:00They've worked that pretty well.
00:31:03Somerville and Dioff.
00:31:07There's good energy about the build-up.
00:31:09And they win the game's first corner from it.
00:31:11Glenn Cotter said he was pleased with how that left side was operating
00:31:18when the game was tight against Spurs.
00:31:24Put shape on the ball and it caused confusion.
00:31:28And somehow Palace get it away.
00:31:31And they finished 14th last season, West Ham.
00:31:34He took over in January, remember?
00:31:36Other than a win at Nottingham Forest, they've lost every game so far this season.
00:31:41There were protests pre-match, but not aimed at Graham Potter,
00:31:46but aimed at the board.
00:31:47He's changing the angle well to bring in Munoz.
00:31:56Across towards Pino and then Kamada.
00:32:01And just wide of the post.
00:32:04That's probably as close as we've come to a goal.
00:32:07The unity at Sellers Park is in marked contrast to the disunity here.
00:32:16Both content at just halting the other's progress.
00:32:21Ball in name towards Mateta.
00:32:23Kamada.
00:32:25And then hit, deflected by Jeremy Pino and out for a corner.
00:32:29Might have hit the arm of Walker-Peters, but it was just slammed at him.
00:32:40Good delivery against the bar.
00:32:42Over the line from Mateta.
00:32:44And Palace lead.
00:32:48There's been so much talk about West Ham's vulnerability from set-piece defending.
00:32:54Same old story, I'm afraid, for West Ham United.
00:32:57A ball into the box, a gay header against the bar.
00:33:01And Mateta the quickest to react.
00:33:03And despite every effort from Mavropanas on the line,
00:33:08it was already over it.
00:33:10And Crystal Palace in a game where chances have been at a premium
00:33:15have West Ham in familiar and rather depressing territory.
00:33:2127th of February, the last time West Ham won a home game.
00:33:24He probably knows that.
00:33:27And he's getting to know that.
00:33:30Somerville.
00:33:32Pakatar.
00:33:33Good ball.
00:33:34Dioff.
00:33:35And now Somerville.
00:33:37Brilliant counter-attack from West Ham.
00:33:39Wilson, is he onside?
00:33:41That's the first question.
00:33:43In the end, he's lost the ball anyway.
00:33:46Somerville.
00:33:47Pakatar.
00:33:48Dioff between them.
00:33:50Turn defence into attack.
00:33:52And as Wilson tried to come back on the inside,
00:33:56he just found the ball going away from him.
00:33:59Just maybe offer some optimism for those who are supporting the home side.
00:34:06So, having conceded for a seventh time from a corner this season,
00:34:13West Ham must now find a goal against a side who've conceded just once at all in the Premier League so far.
00:34:20West Ham might have some defending to do early in the second.
00:34:25Munoz almost in.
00:34:26That's a good sliding challenge by Dioff.
00:34:29And the only downside to that excellent tackle is that it gives Palace a chance from a corner.
00:34:40And they almost concede again.
00:34:43Lacroix with a head up.
00:34:45And it came off the bar.
00:34:50Really good meet by Lacroix.
00:34:55Walker-Peters.
00:34:57Now Bowen.
00:34:58Now West Ham have a corner.
00:35:03What can they do to Palace?
00:35:05What Palace have done to them?
00:35:10Now they're going to get another chance because Wharton's thumped it away.
00:35:21That's on by Bowen!
00:35:24Well, they have done to Palace what Palace did to them.
00:35:28And just as it seemed as though West Ham might have gone two down,
00:35:34now the mood changes again.
00:35:38Bowen just peeled away and glanced it beyond everyone.
00:35:43Here's Bowen.
00:35:49Here's Bowen.
00:35:53Packetar!
00:35:54Richard's put himself in a good position to clear it.
00:36:00Dioff clips it in.
00:36:02Henderson clears it.
00:36:04Ward-Prowse.
00:36:05And now Walker-Peters.
00:36:07And Henderson is there again.
00:36:09Well, it was headed towards the goal.
00:36:13I don't think it was necessarily going into it from Packetar that Richard's made sure.
00:36:18Munoz watered towards Kamada.
00:36:32And, oh, brilliantly turned in.
00:36:36That is a sensational goal by Mitchell.
00:36:38He just sat up to be hit on the volley, but on his supposedly weaker right foot, he has just smashed that into the roof of the net like a striker in his pomp.
00:36:52He is a left wing-back, but when you see a finish of that quality, you just wonder why that is.
00:37:01Well, it's been a much better performance, but it looks like it might be the same result for Graham Potter.
00:37:09Yet another home defeat in a London derby.
00:37:12I'm getting older and older, and the players have to look after my heart, and we had so many situations where we could decide it, also the keeper saved one too.
00:37:25We are not clinical enough, but it's still at the beginning of the season, so it's really good not to be on your top level at the beginning.
00:37:33So we need to be on the top level in the crunch time.
00:37:36How difficult a period is this?
00:37:38Yeah, it's tough. Of course it is. I mean, the results are not what we want at all.
00:37:43And I feel for the players. I feel for the supporters.
00:37:46I feel for everybody connected with the club, because, you know, it is a tough time.
00:37:50And, you know, you're trying to find the answer, and I think that's what we have to do.
00:37:53We have to try to sit together and find a solution.
00:37:57Well, a good win and a great start to the season for Crystal Palace, Wayne.
00:38:01But yet again, West Ham undone by a set piece.
00:38:05Seven of the 13 goals they've conceded this season have been from corners.
00:38:09Yeah, they've been really poor from set pieces, and conceding seven goals already this season is too many.
00:38:16And if we look here, they've actually picked players up.
00:38:20Wan-Bissaka here, you see, he's very tight.
00:38:22But then Kukurea gets a flick on, and then that can happen.
00:38:27Wan-Bissaka just doesn't get off the ground here.
00:38:29But again here, Quecedo come round the back.
00:38:32Second ball again.
00:38:33Not reacting to the ball coming in.
00:38:37And this has been a long time coming, hasn't it?
00:38:40Yeah, this is Chelsea a few weeks ago.
00:38:42Again, second ball.
00:38:43And if you look here, you've got four players in the Spurs game at the front post.
00:38:47They don't once check the shoulder, they don't look over the shoulder to see who's coming in behind them
00:38:51to see if they can get a block or get a header on the ball.
00:38:54And then the ball comes in the box.
00:38:56Then Bergvall and Paulina, clever, block the West Ham defenders here.
00:39:01And then Saar at the back post.
00:39:02It's an easy header and a good goal.
00:39:04And then if we look at the goal today with Palace, it's a 3v2 by the penalty area.
00:39:10So there's Gehi, gets free, completely free header.
00:39:15And the ball comes in, completely free header.
00:39:18Mateta on the goalkeeper, no one marking him.
00:39:20And Mavrid Panos, instead of going back to get into Mateta, he goes on the goal line.
00:39:25And then that's too late.
00:39:26And Crystal Palace score, another set piece goal.
00:39:29And Graham Potter said that they've been working on the set pieces.
00:39:32And as a coach, when you're working, you're putting the work in.
00:39:36And that's all he can do.
00:39:38He can keep working to try and stop it.
00:39:39He's being asked more and more difficult questions now, Graham Potter.
00:39:42And he is under real pressure.
00:39:44He was under pressure before this game.
00:39:46How much threat is there on his future now?
00:39:48Huge, huge threat.
00:39:50I mean, the numbers of Lopetegui there got him the sack.
00:39:53And Graham Potter's a worse average per game if you go through the metrics there.
00:39:57Look, they don't make enough chances.
00:39:59They don't look a threat.
00:40:00Yes, the set plays are really poor.
00:40:04But if you're not scoring the other end and you're not finding it easy to make chances
00:40:08and getting the fans off the seat and scoring some goals, then it's real trouble for him.
00:40:14And he's got to find some wins really quickly.
00:40:17So it's been a really difficult start to the season for West Ham and for Graham Potter.
00:40:22And Wolves manager Vitor Pereira signed a new contract this week despite beginning the season with four straight defeats.
00:40:29Newly promoted leads have only scored once in their first four.
00:40:33Tom Gale was at Molyneux.
00:40:37A significant show of faith in Vitor Pereira despite their worst ever start to a season.
00:40:42Jose Saar makes his 150th Wolves appearance.
00:40:46Another new deal dished out this week went to Jürgen Strand Larsson.
00:40:50But he's only fit enough to make the bench.
00:40:52Leeds are still yet to score from open play.
00:40:55Daniel Farker was quick to shut down any talk of throwing 16-year-old striker Harry Gray straight in.
00:41:01He is though amongst the subs.
00:41:03Dominic Calvert-Lewin will want to change his record of no goals in seven appearances against Wolves.
00:41:09Creeci!
00:41:14Creeci goes cross-field.
00:41:16Fair Lopez is unable to bring it down.
00:41:20Strouk.
00:41:22Knock a four.
00:41:24He has to go the long way around Agbedou and it is a long way around that big man.
00:41:32Seems to have lit a fire amongst the Wolves supporters.
00:41:35That leads champ Creeci!
00:41:39On his home debut, Ladislav Creeci gives Wolves lift off.
00:41:49Just a nod from head coach Vitor Pereira but he knows that is a huge goal.
00:41:56Lovely passing football.
00:41:58They cut through Leeds United.
00:42:01One touch stuff and that is an excellent finish.
00:42:05His first goal for his new club.
00:42:13And Padu.
00:42:15Chachua.
00:42:17Good take by Lopez.
00:42:21Quickly surrounded by three in white and Leeds have the ball back.
00:42:25Aronson.
00:42:26The American has his first sight of goal.
00:42:32There Lopez, guilty of maybe trying to do too much.
00:42:36Running straight into trouble there.
00:42:38The American has only ever scored one goal in the Premier League.
00:42:42And Padu.
00:42:43Bogle.
00:42:44Goes for the cross.
00:42:45It's a deep one.
00:42:46Towards Calvin Lewin!
00:42:47Who's more than happy to remind doubters that he's still got what it takes to score goals in the Premier League.
00:43:05Just like Wolves, it's their first effort on target.
00:43:11But far more importantly, Dominic Calvert-Lewin is off the mark in Leeds United colours.
00:43:18João Gomes.
00:43:23João Gomes.
00:43:25Long staff.
00:43:26Quick to close down the space.
00:43:29Aronson.
00:43:34Still going.
00:43:35Dominic Calvert-Lewin!
00:43:36He didn't get the shout from behind but he does get a free kick.
00:43:42Well is this the experience of Dominic Calvert-Lewin?
00:43:45He knows the contact's coming.
00:43:48He's right in front of Anthony Taylor.
00:43:51Goodmanson and Stack are the two options here for Leeds United.
00:43:58It is Anton Stack.
00:44:00Ah!
00:44:03That is a banger!
00:44:07Coming into this weekend, no Premier League player had more shots and created more chances than the German.
00:44:13And perhaps his most difficult effort so far in English football brings about a sensational result.
00:44:22The visitors have come from behind.
00:44:30Stack.
00:44:32Has options left and right.
00:44:35Up to four!
00:44:39What a sensational turnaround in the first half from Daniel Farker's side.
00:44:45A team many questions.
00:44:47Can they score goals?
00:44:48Well it's an emphatic answer.
00:44:51Three in the opening 45 minutes.
00:44:54It's careless from Wolves.
00:44:57Agbedou gives the ball away.
00:45:00Stack finds his man.
00:45:02And it's another player who bags their first goal in Leeds United colours.
00:45:08This time around it's Noah Okafor.
00:45:16And he saw Pereira admitted pre-match he isn't yet sure what his best starting eleven is.
00:45:21A triple change at the break.
00:45:23Suggests maybe he got the line-up wrong for this one.
00:45:25Magbedou.
00:45:26Brides one challenge.
00:45:28Shachua.
00:45:29Is he in behind?
00:45:30He's away from Goodmonston?
00:45:31No.
00:45:32Spoke too soon.
00:45:34Good recovery.
00:45:35But it is at the expense of a corner.
00:45:40Bueno it is who comes across to take the left-footed in-swinger.
00:45:50It's a deep one.
00:45:52João Gómez.
00:45:53And tipped over by Darlow.
00:45:55It was Mineczi who got the final touch.
00:45:59Has called Darlow at full stretch.
00:46:06Totte.
00:46:09Brave play from the captain.
00:46:14Trying to drive his team forward.
00:46:15Agbedou.
00:46:16Deep cross.
00:46:17Okaforé.
00:46:19Mineczi!
00:46:22It is straight at Karl Darlow.
00:46:25But the save needed to be made.
00:46:29Fine stop.
00:46:34Shachua.
00:46:37Agbedou.
00:46:39Goes low.
00:46:40That is a teasing ball.
00:46:42A nightmare for defenders to deal with.
00:46:47Any touch from a defender and that's potentially in the back of their own net.
00:46:55Absolutely shocking if my lip reading is any good.
00:46:57Stran Larsson.
00:47:00Gómez.
00:47:02Arias can't get there.
00:47:03Gómez can.
00:47:09Bueno.
00:47:10His cross.
00:47:11Gómez was met by Orokodare but couldn't keep his effort down.
00:47:22So Wolves become the sixth team to lose their first five games at the start of a Premier League season.
00:47:30Full-time.
00:47:31Wolves won.
00:47:32Leads three.
00:47:35Today we're more effective, especially better in both boxes, especially in the box of the opponent.
00:47:42Scored three goals, especially in the away game, it doesn't come around that often for newly promoted sides on this level.
00:47:46So I'm pretty happy and delighted and precious points for us.
00:47:50I think going 1-0 down and we show great character and spirit to turn it around and once we got a bit of confidence we started to play.
00:47:57And then for me today getting that goal, it's nice to get my first one for the club.
00:48:00No one wants to be in this situation but we have nothing, no one else and nothing else to complain about, only ourselves.
00:48:06Can't give away those goals we give away and especially not three in the first half.
00:48:10We need to be doing better every day from now on and hopefully we can do it otherwise this league is too tough to be playing like this.
00:48:16After the goal, our goal, they start to create some problems and we were not in our best level defending in my opinion.
00:48:26Results dictate your future, are you?
00:48:28I'm not worried about my future. I don't need to answer because I'm not worried about my future. I'm worried about the results.
00:48:37And the results are not going their way. They haven't picked up a point yet this season.
00:48:42But from Leeds' point of view, it was one goal so far this season and that was a penalty.
00:48:46This time around they got the goals, they got the win and they did it away from home, Danny.
00:48:50Yeah, they were really clinical and actually looked like a confident side.
00:48:54They've had some half decent performances since the season started without probably getting the rewards.
00:48:59But here is Wolves helping them out. There was some really poor defending.
00:49:02Calvert-Lewin, two centre-halves, should have him covered there. He's in the middle.
00:49:07No pressure on the ball. If you play five at the back, you've got to get pressure out wide and stop the crosses coming in.
00:49:12And he just bullies them both. The keeper's caught in between. Do I come? Do I not?
00:49:17It's a terrific header from Calvert-Lewin. Great for him to get his confidence up and relationship with the fans.
00:49:23But the mistakes kept coming. I mean, this, just lazy sloppy defending.
00:49:27Silly free-kick giveaway from, I think it was Krejci on Calvert-Lewin.
00:49:32When the free-kick there, you're always going to give chances, I should say.
00:49:38But the keeper, if he just steps a yard and sticks to his side, it's a super strike from Stack.
00:49:45But the goal shouldn't go in when it's the keeper's side. He's just got to position himself better.
00:49:52That shouldn't be going in there, although it is a technically really good strike.
00:49:56And this is, it's just sloppy. It's just basic play.
00:49:59And then Leeds again, really clinical.
00:50:02Nice and positive.
00:50:05Timing of the pass.
00:50:07Good finish from Okafor.
00:50:09And that was it.
00:50:11I mean, three goals in 40 minutes.
00:50:13What a fantastic period in the game for them to then go on and get their first points on the road.
00:50:18But Wolves really are causing their own problems at times with mistakes and naivety in defending.
00:50:25And Pereira said he's not worried about his future.
00:50:27They've just given him a new contract.
00:50:29You can understand why he would say that.
00:50:31There's obviously a lot of goodwill from last season and the job he did then.
00:50:35But it's been so tough for Wolves.
00:50:36How and what are the signs that they can turn it around this season?
00:50:40Yeah, well, I think we've seen the contracts don't mean that much nowadays.
00:50:45But no, listen, there will be pressure, of course.
00:50:47They've played, they've got no points in the first five games.
00:50:50And there's clearly a lack of confidence there within the team.
00:50:53And obviously they lost Cunha.
00:50:55Stran Larsson has been out injured.
00:50:57So they need him back quick.
00:50:59And they've got quite a few new players in there.
00:51:01So I think there will be pressure.
00:51:02I think the fans will force that pressure if they don't pick up points soon.
00:51:07But yeah, they need to start picking up points and trying to get the season started.
00:51:12Yeah, but worrying times for Wolves at the moment.
00:51:15There are three games on tomorrow's Match of the Day.
00:51:17Alex Scott puts the cherries in front.
00:51:21That is just the right way to please your new fan base.
00:51:27The night at the stadium of life.
00:51:31Lovely take by Rogers, he's in, he scores.
00:51:34What a goal by Martin Gibamendi.
00:51:36So, so City and Harlem.
00:51:37You can follow those games tomorrow with live commentary on Five Live and BBC Sounds.
00:51:48Also tomorrow there's a big game in the WSL.
00:51:51Manchester United take on Arsenal on BBC One from 2.35.
00:51:56Coverage of the World Athletics Championships from Tokyo continues in the morning from 11.
00:52:00And tomorrow night you can listen to live NFL.
00:52:04Dallas Cowboys take on the Chicago Bears on BBC Sounds from 9 o'clock.
00:52:10Thomas Frank's Tottenham have begun the season with three wins from four in the league.
00:52:15Today they travel to Brighton.
00:52:17Jonathan Pearce was at the Amex.
00:52:19This is the first test then of Tottenham's strength to deal with the Champions League and Premier League
00:52:25after their testing home victory over Villarreal on Tuesday.
00:52:28Brighton will be the more rested team, a run beaten at home in six games
00:52:32and did the double over Spurs last season.
00:52:35The home side make four changes from defeat at Bournemouth, two enforced.
00:52:39Cadilloglu starts a league game for the first time since November with De Copa injured
00:52:43and Ayeri replaces Hincherwood who was also injured at the fatality.
00:52:47But Labour is preferred to Milner and Gruda to Welbeck.
00:52:51They might employ two false nines as they did in the victory at Spurs in the last day of last season.
00:52:56There are four Tottenham changes from the league win at West Ham.
00:53:00Udoggi starting for the first time this season.
00:53:02Bentancur, Richarlison and Udeberg come in.
00:53:05Saar, Simons, Spence and Telco to the bench.
00:53:08Filiama Vicario, the goalkeeper starts.
00:53:10Oh, good run to the dead ball line, pulls it back and Brighton got away with it.
00:53:23Burgwell came in, Udoggi started it.
00:53:27Brighton, ball watching.
00:53:30Middyport, lunging challenge, risk.
00:53:34And away by Van Hecke in the end.
00:53:36Thomas Frank, good start as the Tottenham head coach, four wins from his opening six games.
00:53:46What about?
00:53:47One back by Minte for Brighton.
00:53:57Here's Brian Gruda.
00:53:59And now, this is a chance for Brighton, first chance of the game.
00:54:02They've got Minte directly in on goal, around the goalkeeper and Brighton ahead.
00:54:07Against the run of play from the opening seven minutes.
00:54:10Suddenly they broke out.
00:54:12And then, Kuba Minte scores his first in the campaign.
00:54:15Lovely ball through to him by the alert.
00:54:19Jorginho Ruta.
00:54:21Tottenham couldn't live with him.
00:54:22That high line exposed by his pace, and he touched it in neatly.
00:54:29And he was just on-site.
00:54:32VAR completed very quickly.
00:54:34And Brighton are ahead.
00:54:36It's the first away goal they've conceded in the Premier League this campaign.
00:54:39Just that one defeat under Thomas Frank so far came against Bournemouth at home.
00:54:45They've won at Manchester City in West Ham.
00:54:48Charleston and Van Hecker together as Charleston has stayed down.
00:54:52Here's Bergwahl blocked by Dunk.
00:54:55One back now by Matoma.
00:54:56They've given the ball away in the end.
00:55:05Bergwahl.
00:55:07That's pretty poor.
00:55:08Straight to Ayari.
00:55:10Oh, it's a terrific goal!
00:55:13Brighton are 2-0 up!
00:55:15Well, moments ago they squandered opportunities where they could have shot.
00:55:20He had one thing in his mind.
00:55:22Yassi Nayari.
00:55:23That's a beautiful second goal for Brighton, swerving beyond Vicario.
00:55:30What a terrific goal.
00:55:32Half an hour play, Brighton 2, Tottenham 0.
00:55:35And all the while, Richarlison was down as Brighton built up.
00:55:39But Tottenham had Richarlison down all the way through that build-up.
00:55:43And they'll look at this challenge here, and they won't be happy with that.
00:55:46But the referee allowed it to go on, it's been checked by VAR.
00:55:50None of them saw anything wrong with it.
00:55:51And it's 2-0 Brighton.
00:55:54Intense conversations in the Tottenham technical area.
00:56:00Van Hekafer, Brighton, Hvarbi.
00:56:02Belieber.
00:56:04A bit sluggish.
00:56:05Won the ball back Ayari.
00:56:07He took a chance and has given it away, and Brighton are taking chances now.
00:56:10Have they opened up a gate here for Tottenham to crash through and get back into the game.
00:56:13Bentancur.
00:56:15Audebert.
00:56:16Bentancur.
00:56:17Squares it.
00:56:18It comes to Richarlison.
00:56:19And it's in.
00:56:20And Tottenham are back into the game.
00:56:22Brighton are complaining about something.
00:56:25They should look to their midfielders who gave the ball away.
00:56:27They think there was a handball in the build-up here, Brighton.
00:56:30Nothing wrong with the build-up here.
00:56:33It's pulled back to Bentancur.
00:56:35There's the first shot.
00:56:36Richarlison on the ground.
00:56:38All looks good to me.
00:56:40They're just checking to see if there was offside in the build-up.
00:56:43And Tottenham are back in it.
00:56:46Still trading 2-1.
00:56:52Kanioglu with the throw.
00:56:53It's crept all the way through to Gruda.
00:56:57Still persisting in there.
00:57:00Jorginho fighting for it as well.
00:57:02He's pulled it back.
00:57:03Ayari's arrived!
00:57:06Brighton's best moment of a poor second half so far.
00:57:09Mayari arriving.
00:57:12Boyd by his first half goal.
00:57:17Simmonds.
00:57:18Good block by Milner.
00:57:21Mandeven won that in the air.
00:57:22He's a doggy again.
00:57:24Now Simmonds will cut in from that side.
00:57:27You're rolling another shot at goal.
00:57:29And he very nearly equalised.
00:57:31It's saved by Verbruggen who got down well.
00:57:34When you could see that coming a mile out what he was going to do.
00:57:37Danger signs are flashing for the home side.
00:57:46Kanioglu beaten by Kudas.
00:57:48Berglau steps over it.
00:57:49Simmonds arrived.
00:57:50Big chance should have scored.
00:57:52Had to hit the target from there.
00:57:53Good build-up again created by the run of Kudas who's been dangerous all day down the right-hand side.
00:57:58Every time he's taken on Kanioglu, he's had the beating of him.
00:58:08That's misjudged by Udogi.
00:58:10Welbeck holds it up for Brighton.
00:58:13And Milner.
00:58:15Kanioglu arriving on the left-hand side.
00:58:16Played through to Mitoma.
00:58:17He's timed his run well.
00:58:19But he's got a very, very tight angle here.
00:58:20Kanioglu arriving!
00:58:24He had the chance to settle it there.
00:58:26Milner with the vision.
00:58:27Mitoma with the timing of the run.
00:58:31He's very, very wide.
00:58:32Kanioglu getting up.
00:58:33They have to keep their patience, Tottenham.
00:58:39Simmonds.
00:58:42Still going.
00:58:45Here's Kudas.
00:58:47Fends the cross in.
00:58:48It's got in!
00:58:49An own goal!
00:58:51Off John Paul van Hecker.
00:58:54Saw the cross coming in late.
00:58:57And almost need it beyond his goalkeeper.
00:58:59And it's Brighton 2, Tottenham 2.
00:59:01And it's a deserved equaliser.
00:59:13Here's Kudas.
00:59:14Checks back.
00:59:15Has a look.
00:59:16Re-adjust.
00:59:17Goes for goal.
00:59:18Oh!
00:59:19It nearly went in off Lewis Duncehill, I think.
00:59:24Tottenham will see this as a point well won.
00:59:26And they'll, to be honest, wonder why they haven't had all three.
00:59:31From 2-0 down, after 30 minutes, they've come back to draw 2-2.
00:59:35Brighton need to really improve.
00:59:36They've not hit the heights of last season or the season before, really.
00:59:40But Tottenham Hotspur, this was a gritty display.
00:59:43And in the end, a point they thoroughly deserved.
00:59:45Brighton 2, Tottenham 2.
00:59:47I actually think this is our best performance this season.
00:59:50I think overall was it very good in many phases.
00:59:54We, yeah, we gave the two goals away, which is one is mistake, one, you know, this aside.
01:00:00Besides that, defending well, aggressive in high pressure, very good phase one, two and three, created opportunities.
01:00:05And then their mentality and physical look.
01:00:07I love that.
01:00:08It doesn't feel great.
01:00:10It's a little bit unlucky, the result for us.
01:00:13But overall, there's a lot of positive things.
01:00:15We did some good steps forward.
01:00:17We had a lot of energy on the pitch, good intensity.
01:00:19So I thought we did enough to win this game.
01:00:22In the end, of course, Tottenham also had chances.
01:00:25They created, they had a good energy.
01:00:27So it was a tough game, 50-50 game.
01:00:30But like I said, we conceded in the wrong moments, in the bad timings, the goals.
01:00:35And therefore, yeah, it's only a draw for us.
01:00:38You've hit some spectacular goals.
01:00:40And how about that one today? Was that one of your best?
01:00:42No.
01:00:44It was a good one, but not my best.
01:00:46It was swerving though, wasn't it?
01:00:47Made it very difficult for the goalkeeper.
01:00:48Yeah, he told me afterwards, the movement was good.
01:00:51And yeah, I'm happy about the goal.
01:00:53Well, look forward to seeing his best when it does arrive, because that was a great goal.
01:00:57It was.
01:00:58Look, as far as Spurs are concerned, they go 2-0 down, arguably against the run of play.
01:01:02What did you make of their response to that, Danny?
01:01:05Outstanding, in so many ways.
01:01:07I think one of the, he spoke about it there, Thomas Frank.
01:01:10But a doggy coming to the team, he was terrific, he hasn't started.
01:01:14But players taking responsibility is what a manager wants to see.
01:01:16You're 2-0 down.
01:01:18Men in the box.
01:01:19This is a 2-0 down, from 2-0 down.
01:01:21Still getting men in the box, still brave enough to get on the ball and make chances.
01:01:25Pressing, the intensity, the attitude is still there to do the job, but structured.
01:01:31It wasn't chaotic, it was really well done.
01:01:34And this is the goal that they end up getting, eventually, for Richarlison, which gave them confidence to get back in the game.
01:01:44Second half, more of the same.
01:01:46Bergwahl, with his wonderful physicality.
01:01:48I have to say as well, this team's so fit, so well organised.
01:01:51Kudus, outstanding again, causing all sorts of problems.
01:01:56Simmonds came off the bench, made a difference, nearly moment there, but they just kept going.
01:02:01And they really limited Brighton to very few chances, which is difficult to do when you're throwing men forward and really trying to get back in the game.
01:02:07Again, Kudus, Simmonds there, should do better with his technical ability.
01:02:14Paulina doing what I'm talking about, the hard yards, breaking up play.
01:02:18And again, players taking responsibility to run at people, to beat players, to try and make passes that are progressive and forward thinking.
01:02:26Weak finish from Richarlison, but in the end, you know, they got their rewards.
01:02:30And I think on their performance, they deserved a win, to be honest, but they'll be happy with the point after going to behind.
01:02:38Again, working the ball and then putting crosses into the box.
01:02:42You've got four men in there again.
01:02:44If you keep putting crosses in the box and get men going in with intent, you're going to get goals.
01:02:48But terrific performance.
01:02:50I mean, Thomas Frank is suggesting that might be their best performance of the season so far.
01:02:53What can they achieve if they carry on on that trajectory, do you think?
01:02:56Well, I think top four has to be their ambition.
01:02:58You know, you really have to think that because they've got a really good squad now, competition for places,
01:03:04and capable of winning games against Brighton, sorry, drawing Brighton and winning at Man City away from home is a great start for them.
01:03:11Now, a League Cup defeat by Swansea on Wednesday night made it two defeats in a week for new Nottingham Forest boss Ange Postokoglu.
01:03:20His side were up against Burnley and their formidable home record.
01:03:24At Turf Moor, Simon Brotherton.
01:03:25Last week's agonising defeat to Liverpool was Burnley's first here at Turf Moor in 16 months since Nottingham Forest were last here on the final day two seasons ago in May 2024.
01:03:40Burnley, of course, to make one change with Leslie Ugocuk, who is suspended following his red card here last weekend.
01:03:45Florentino, who's on loan from Benfica, makes his first start after coming off the bench last time out.
01:03:52Murillo misses the match for Forest through injury, so Morato slides across into the middle at the back with Oleksandr Zinchenko in at left back.
01:04:00Douglas Luiz and Dylan Bakwa make their first starts in the league since arriving at the club over the summer.
01:04:09Both teams looking for their second league win of the new season.
01:04:12Here come Nottingham Forest on the attack and winning the first corner of the game early on as well with just over a minute played.
01:04:25Dan and Doy on the near side.
01:04:28Douglas Luiz sends it across.
01:04:34What a start for Nottingham Forest.
01:04:38Blasted home by Nico Williams with less than two minutes play.
01:04:48Burnley behind already.
01:04:50And Nico Williams scores his first goal since the 7-0 win over Brighton back in February.
01:04:58Louise with the corner, only half cleared and stopped in by a deflection by the Welsh international.
01:05:06And Burnley, who conceded very, very late in their last home match, concede exceedingly early in this one.
01:05:15Well, just the sort of start that he will have been hoping for, particularly given the way things ended during the week in the League Cup.
01:05:21Florentino sprays it high and long and suddenly Hartman has a shot and goal.
01:05:30Well, that outsells scrambling to the near post.
01:05:33There's a lovely pass from Florentino and a quick shot from the boot of the left back.
01:05:46Hartman's delivery and Chowna going for it.
01:05:48And it's gone in!
01:05:52Off Alexander Sinchenko.
01:05:55As he tried to clear it off the line.
01:05:58Burnley draw level after 20 minutes.
01:06:02Frustration for the Forest defender.
01:06:04It's Jayden Anthony's shot.
01:06:08And as it headed towards the goal, it was redirected into it.
01:06:13The only decision to be made is whether it was goal bound and whether it would be an own goal for Oleksandr Sinchenko.
01:06:20But Jayden Anthony claiming the equaliser for Burnley.
01:06:22Sinchenko.
01:06:28Louise back into Anderson.
01:06:29Collected by Gibbs-White.
01:06:30Real threat here.
01:06:31Bakwa, I could say.
01:06:33That's a fine start by Dubravka.
01:06:36Lovely play from Nottingham Forest.
01:06:38Sinchenko, Louise, Anderson, Gibbs-White.
01:06:42And then the first-time shot is turned round the post.
01:06:46Forest looking composed in possession.
01:06:48Dan and Doi up against Walker.
01:07:00Anderson finding the link of it.
01:07:02She'll take the return.
01:07:03Little ball in.
01:07:04Chris Woods.
01:07:06Again, they very nearly work their way into a genuine goal-scoring opportunity there for a second.
01:07:13Oh, that's more.
01:07:15Scott Parker's team.
01:07:17Competitive.
01:07:18In one of their early season matches.
01:07:22Foster waits in the middle.
01:07:24Chowna has it.
01:07:25Josh Laurent on the overlap.
01:07:28Cullen Walker.
01:07:30Free kick.
01:07:32Fouled by Bakwa.
01:07:34Well, it's Nottingham Forest very much on the back foot.
01:07:37As we head for the last minute of the first half.
01:07:41Everyone back inside their own box for Forest.
01:07:46Chowna strikes it.
01:07:48It's a beauty of a free kick.
01:07:49And he's really unlucky not to have his first Burnley goal.
01:07:56Still on the attack.
01:07:58Hartman floats it across.
01:07:59Esteve.
01:08:01Foster with the shot.
01:08:03Deflecting against Dylan Bakwa.
01:08:06What a lovely free kick that was.
01:08:08Forest relieved.
01:08:10Almost on the stroke of half-time.
01:08:12That it stays at 1-1.
01:08:14At the start of the second half, it's still Misley and Drizzly here in Lancashire.
01:08:20Forward off the boot of Ekdal.
01:08:26Into Anthony.
01:08:27This is a nice flowing move from the host.
01:08:29It's Jadon Anthony.
01:08:31Denied by cells.
01:08:33Chowna able to collect it.
01:08:36It was almost an outstanding start to the second half for Burnley.
01:08:43Sinchenko with the opportunity to clear.
01:08:46Burnley have it back here with Jadon Anthony.
01:08:48Across and why Foster was so close to just turning it home.
01:08:55Burnley out of the traps very quickly.
01:08:58Following the restart.
01:09:01Murato.
01:09:05And still.
01:09:07Williams.
01:09:12Calimuendo into Anderson.
01:09:14Whipping it in on the header.
01:09:16Superb save from Dubravka.
01:09:19And Igor Jesus was mighty close to a first Premier League goal.
01:09:24The Brazilian's header.
01:09:26Wonderfully saved by Martin Dubravka.
01:09:28Ibrahim Sangari.
01:09:31Gibbs White.
01:09:33Forrest sensing an opportunity.
01:09:36Following the changes that they've made.
01:09:39Jesus waits in the middle.
01:09:41And it's beyond the Brazilian.
01:09:43And met by Nico Williams who's denied by Dubravka.
01:09:46Another superb stop by Burnley's goalkeeper.
01:09:51That's two in relatively quick succession.
01:09:55To deny Jesus and also Williams.
01:09:58Forrest pushing hard for a winner here.
01:10:01Sent on its way by Matt Sells.
01:10:05Here's Gibbs White.
01:10:07And it's a comfortable save.
01:10:09And that was the last action of the game.
01:10:12It's a hard point for both of them.
01:10:15The full time score at Turf Moor.
01:10:18Burnley won.
01:10:20I think the point's probably fair enough.
01:10:22I think both teams jabbed their way through the game at times.
01:10:25And was looking for a knockout punch.
01:10:27And I think over the course of the game today.
01:10:30We have some very good chances.
01:10:32And I think Forrest have some as well.
01:10:34I think the point's a fair result.
01:10:36I thought we controlled the game really well.
01:10:38And we had a couple of sort of sloppy moments.
01:10:40Which just allows them to sort of get a bit of traction in the game.
01:10:44But, you know, we handled it really well.
01:10:47Either side is sort of the goal.
01:10:50And I thought second half, like I said.
01:10:52We certainly created enough chances to win the game.
01:10:54We've been hugely competitive.
01:10:55We need to maintain that.
01:10:57And I'm always conscious of that really.
01:10:59There's some fundamentals in this group.
01:11:01And fundamentals in us as a team.
01:11:03That give us that opportunity.
01:11:04And we need to maintain that.
01:11:06From seven days ago when we played Arsenal.
01:11:08And I know it's a different opponent.
01:11:10But we're looking at a different team.
01:11:11And that's what I wanted to see.
01:11:13We saw elements of that on Wednesday night as well.
01:11:14And, you know, that's great for me.
01:11:17Because it means the players are sort of responding to what we wanted to do.
01:11:21And if we keep making that kind of progress, you know, the results will follow.
01:11:25Well, it was another point for Burnley at Turf Moor.
01:11:29Chances for both sides in that one to go on and win it.
01:11:32But Ange Postacoglu made the point there.
01:11:34The Arsenal game was very early in his time.
01:11:38And it was always going to be a difficult game for Forrest.
01:11:40Then there were ten changes for the game in midweek in the Cup.
01:11:42So what did you make of this version of Nottingham Forest under Postacoglu?
01:11:48I think we've seen Ange's philosophy here.
01:11:52And how he wants to play.
01:11:53And the players have took it in quite quickly.
01:11:55I was impressed with Nottingham Forest today at all.
01:11:57The rotation between Gibbs-White, Douglas-Louis and Anderson.
01:12:02And Zinchenko just picking up random positions, really.
01:12:06But Forrest were committing players forward.
01:12:07Again, now counter-pressing Anderson going in.
01:12:11Winning the ball back and then they're on the front foot trying to go forward and create chances.
01:12:17It doesn't pay off this time.
01:12:19But then again here, if you look at the rotation, what they've done a lot was different players were filling in different positions.
01:12:25And Zinchenko again, from left-back going in, now he's on the top line.
01:12:30Making the running behind.
01:12:32And again, counter-pressing.
01:12:35But then again, if you look at the positions, picking up the pockets in behind the midfield.
01:12:41Being difficult to pick up.
01:12:43And if you look here, this is typical Ange.
01:12:45Six players on the top line.
01:12:48And it's important from behind.
01:12:50Zinchenko again picking up positions which was very difficult for Burnley players to pick him up.
01:12:53Douglas Luizia making a good running behind which creates the space for Zinchenko to get turned.
01:13:00And then this is lovely play.
01:13:02One touch football.
01:13:03One touch, one touch.
01:13:04Again, takes a touch and back out with a good attempt and really good save from the goalkeeper.
01:13:10And then again here, Anderson playing it off.
01:13:14And then if you look at the amount of bodies the Forrester have put forward now in players.
01:13:19But this is, with Ange, this is what you get.
01:13:21Burnley are very dangerous on the counter-attack if they nick the ball here.
01:13:24But they don't.
01:13:25They go through.
01:13:26And it's a really good chance for Chris Wood and he should finish it really.
01:13:29But I think Ange will be really, really happy with the progress he has seen.
01:13:33He looks at that picture though, doesn't he?
01:13:34No, he doesn't.
01:13:35But I think he will be really happy with the progress he's seen.
01:13:39Disappointed to lose to Swansea.
01:13:40But the progress he's seen from the Arsenal game, I think he'll be really pleased with that.
01:13:45Yeah, really good performance from them.
01:13:46But the points were shared and it was a West London derby in the day's late game
01:13:51as Brentford made the short trip to Fulham.
01:13:54Your commentator is Martin Fisher.
01:13:58The table bedfellows last season.
01:14:01These London neighbours have both made steady starts to the new campaign
01:14:06beginning the day 11th and 12th in the table.
01:14:10Fulham unchanged.
01:14:12Harry Wilson starting then after his heroics as a sub in this fixture last season.
01:14:17Surprisingly, perhaps, Brazilian Kevin begins the night on the bench
01:14:22after his lively cameo a week ago.
01:14:26Brentford make one change from last week's draw with Chelsea.
01:14:29Mikel Damsgaard returning and replacing fellow Dane Matthias Jensen.
01:14:34Jordan Henderson makes his 500th league appearance.
01:14:38Nine minutes in and Brentford about to unleash their third long throw of the evening.
01:14:47Fulham have been working hard on defending these all week.
01:14:51And they just about got away with that.
01:14:52It almost went all the way through.
01:14:53Might have taken a couple of flicks on its way through.
01:14:56Had it evaded the grasp of Bernd Leno, it would have been a goal of course.
01:14:59Just closed his legs at the absolute precise moment.
01:15:05Brentford have lost both of their away matches so far.
01:15:10King, oh careless, straight to Damsgaard.
01:15:13What a chance for Brentford!
01:15:15And Damsgaard slaps it home!
01:15:16Oh, it's a horror moment for Josh King and understandably all of his teammates so, so quick to get around the teenager.
01:15:28We've seen him knock a few early passes like that throughout the evening already.
01:15:33This time straight to Damsgaard.
01:15:36And on his return to the first team in the Premier League, the Dane was not going to miss that chance.
01:15:41Anderson for Lukic, that's loose.
01:15:47This time it's Sharder who looks to profit.
01:15:50Force wide by Bassi. Force very wide.
01:15:52And the chance is gone.
01:15:54Good defending by Bassi.
01:15:58More careless work with the ball by Fulham.
01:16:02This time it's Lukic who's the guilty man.
01:16:05But unlike Damsgaard before him, Sharder couldn't capitalise to the max.
01:16:09It's Iwobi far side.
01:16:15Tete.
01:16:17Lukic.
01:16:21Oh, that's awkward.
01:16:23Collins can't get it away.
01:16:25It's Iwobi!
01:16:26And it's 1-1.
01:16:32Full on level.
01:16:33It's just as the ball is locked in here, the deflection took weight off it, but it was swirling very awkwardly for Collins.
01:16:42And then the ricochet bounce so invitingly for Iwobi.
01:16:47Fulham have an equaliser before the break.
01:16:49And here's Munoz, and he's got Iwobi again to his left-hand side. Iwobi looking for Wilson!
01:16:59What a glorious finish from the man who wrote his name all over this fixture last season.
01:17:11Came off the bench to score twice and out of time in that one.
01:17:14Well, he's finished that one with so much poise.
01:17:21It's all gone horribly wrong for Brentford in the space of 90 seconds.
01:17:26And the whole atmosphere around Craven Cottage has changed, as has his mood big time.
01:17:35King.
01:17:37Goes down under the challenge of Henderson.
01:17:40And he's going to be booked for simulation.
01:17:44I think a lot inside the stadium thought that this might be given as a penalty.
01:17:49This night, from a personal point of view, he's not getting that much better, is it?
01:17:52Gave away the goal, and now he's been yellow carded.
01:17:54Gave away the goal, he's been yellow carded.
01:18:03Anderson.
01:18:05The diagonal to find Sessegnon, who will look to attack Coyote.
01:18:09It's a good ball in.
01:18:11Pinnock didn't know too much about it.
01:18:15And it's in the back of his own goal.
01:18:18And it's 3-1 Fulham.
01:18:19And for the second successive week, a visiting player has put through his own goal at the Hammersmith end at Craven Cottage.
01:18:29Well, there's no doubt about it, it's a quality ball in from Ryan Sessegnon.
01:18:35It was just a bit too strong for Munoz.
01:18:38And Pinnock just trying to get his head out of the way.
01:18:40That's off his shoulder, isn't it?
01:18:43A horror moment for Pinnock.
01:18:45And now daylight between Fulham and their West London neighbours.
01:18:53Well, they never scored more than three last season, and they only scored three on four occasions in the Premier League.
01:18:59Collins goes down as Wilton helps it on.
01:19:03Bounces invitingly for Munoz!
01:19:05And what a finish!
01:19:12What a hit that was by Rodrigo Munoz!
01:19:15It is!
01:19:17Brentford players have surrounded Michael Oliver.
01:19:20They feel in the build-up that Nathan Collins was taken out of the game.
01:19:24You can see blood pouring from a mouth wound.
01:19:28VAR obviously will check.
01:19:31Meanwhile, Fulham celebrate what they hope will be their fourth goal of the evening.
01:19:35It is!
01:19:39Well, that's how it happened.
01:19:41Is it intentional?
01:19:42Is it accidental?
01:19:43It certainly took Collins out of the game, but it doesn't take anything away from the quality of that hit by the big Brazilian.
01:19:50And Michael Oliver has been directed by the VAR, Jared Gillett, to come across to the pitch side monitor to have a closer look at that incident.
01:20:02It's the right elbow there of Munoz that clatters into Collins' face.
01:20:10So here we go.
01:20:11After a review, Fulham number nine makes no contact with them all, and catches the opponent in the face with his arm.
01:20:19The final decision is direct free-kick to Brentford.
01:20:22No-no's not gonna count.
01:20:24And quite possibly his best goal for Fulham is scrubbed out.
01:20:30Two wins in a row for Fulham then.
01:20:32Something they only managed twice throughout last season.
01:20:36Two in a row is a very, very good feeling for us, and very difficult to achieve, and the feeling is top.
01:20:46Well deserved, that is the main thing.
01:20:48I think we were the best team on the pitch from the first minute until the last one.
01:20:53The performance overall was a little bit disjointed.
01:20:56Certainly with the ball, and that lacked that little bit of quality at times where we got into good areas.
01:21:02Whether that was 1v1, that final pass, that final little bit of quality was just lacking.
01:21:06Proud of the players, and make the fans feel, and to have a better weekend is always what we want, and it's because we worked so hard.
01:21:15More three points, and we have to move on.
01:21:18Danny, they did work hard, and they got a lot of joy down the left.
01:21:21They did. There was lots of quality.
01:21:23He'd be especially pleased after coming back from a goal down.
01:21:26Played with some confidence.
01:21:27Sessegnon Iwobi down the left-hand side caused all sorts of problems to Brentford.
01:21:31The majority of the attacks were down this way, but a lot of confidence in this Fulham side.
01:21:36They play some really good football.
01:21:39They're all happy to have the ball, and they commit men forward.
01:21:43And then when this does drop to Iwobi, technically really good finish, really confident finish,
01:21:48and that gave them then the confidence and the impetus to really go after Brentford and cause them more problems.
01:21:54I mean, this, you can see the two boys at the top of your screen, again, willing to go forward, but he doesn't use him this time.
01:22:01That is an exquisite little pass, and we know what a great finisher Harry Wilson is, and he loves playing against Brentford.
01:22:09And this is Sessegnon in the second half, whipping in another great ball, and he did many of them today, and gets the own goal.
01:22:14But lots to be pleased for from Marco Silva, from his team's performance. So many good aspects.
01:22:21Quick word on Brentford, Wayne. Man United, Manchester City and Liverpool at home, three of their next four matches.
01:22:27It's going to be a tough run.
01:22:28Yeah, I'm a bit concerned for Brentford, I think. Obviously, losing Thomas Frank is a big factor in that.
01:22:35And then they've lost some big players as well. And I think with the promoter teams who've come up as well, they're all doing OK.
01:22:40And so I think it's going to be a long, whole season for Brentford, and I've got worries that they possibly could go down.
01:22:47Yeah, tricky transition season for Brentford, and they'll be hoping that they can maintain their Premier League status.
01:22:54Talking of which, let's take a look at the Premier League table.
01:22:58Liverpool continue their perfect start after making it five wins from five in the Merseyside Derby.
01:23:03Cross the Palace clan to fourth after extending their unbeaten run to 17 games in all competitions.
01:23:09Wolves begin the campaign with five defeats for the first time in their league history.
01:23:14West Ham lose their opening three home games for the second successive season.
01:23:19Thank you very much to Wayne and to Danny for your company.
01:23:24It's been a mixed day for you two, but Liverpool get their kicks.
01:23:28And for now at least, the city is theirs. Good night.
