00:00:01Oh, look at that!
00:00:03Absolutely phenomenal!
00:00:05Rudy!
00:00:08Welcome to Match of the Day.
00:00:30Well, it may be dry January for some, but our cup overfloweth on Match of the Day tonight.
00:00:55Six games from a brizzy Premier League Sunday,
00:00:58as well as December's Goal of the Month and all the goals from yesterday.
00:01:01And joining me, Shea Given,
00:01:03and making his Match of the Day debut, Gary O'Neill,
00:01:05who scored twice on his Premier League debut,
00:01:07so we are hoping for a similar performance tonight.
00:01:09Yeah, it went all downhill from there, but it was a good start.
00:01:12No pressure, no pressure.
00:01:13A win for Arsenal yesterday opened up a seven-point lead at the top of the table.
00:01:17Manchester City were looking to reduce that gap against managerless Chelsea,
00:01:21who parted company with Enzo Mareska on New Year's Day.
00:01:24Steve Wilson was at the Etihad.
00:01:28In his long managerial career in three countries,
00:01:31Pep Guardiola has never gone successive seasons without winning a league title.
00:01:36That record is under threat.
00:01:38They sit seven points behind Arsenal.
00:01:40It's eight seasons since Chelsea were champions,
00:01:43in which time they've had six full-time managers.
00:01:46Another is incoming.
00:01:48City make three changes to the XI, which drew at Sunderland on New Year's Day.
00:01:53In come Guardiola, Rodri and Reinders for Ake, Nico Gonzalez and Savinho.
00:01:59Callum McFarlane's time in charge of Chelsea will be short,
00:02:03but he makes five changes to the draw with Bournemouth.
00:02:06Caicedo is suspended again.
00:02:08Sanchez injured.
00:02:09Fofana ill.
00:02:10In come Jürgensen.
00:02:11Badia Shield.
00:02:12James.
00:02:13Pedro Neto.
00:02:14Andrao Pedro.
00:02:17Chelsea have lost eight of their last ten games in this stadium,
00:02:21in all competitions.
00:02:23And I don't think many people would favour them here today.
00:02:28Estevão for Chelsea finds Enzo Fernandes.
00:02:31Pedro Neto is on.
00:02:33Here he is.
00:02:37Mathias Nunez ahead of him.
00:02:39Good ball in that, and a chance for Estevão.
00:02:42It's blocked really well by Guardiola.
00:02:46That's the best chance of the game so far, and it goes Chelsea's way.
00:02:50And now Manchester City have the situation under control,
00:02:54and that's a great ball from Mathias Nunez.
00:02:57What a pass that is.
00:02:58Erling Haaland arriving.
00:03:00Phil Foden arriving.
00:03:01Here's Foden.
00:03:03Brilliantly done!
00:03:07Well, this would have been a sensational counter-attacking goal.
00:03:10Great awareness by Foden.
00:03:15Well, they've done really well, Chelsea.
00:03:16They've defended sturdily.
00:03:23Bernardo Silva trying to twist Gusto.
00:03:27And he's succeeded in doing so, and he gets the shot away.
00:03:32Well, great work in a very small area from Bernardo Silva.
00:03:37Manages to work that bit of space quite beautifully.
00:03:41Gets a bit of curl, but not enough dip.
00:03:43Not enough dip.
00:03:50Cherokee's header.
00:03:51Rodri.
00:03:52Foden.
00:03:53Haaland.
00:03:55Deflected!
00:03:56And really well saved by Jürgensen.
00:03:58That big deflection could well have looped over the top of the Chelsea keeper, but he's adjusted here to make a very good save.
00:04:08Philip Jürgensen.
00:04:09Heavy toucher match in Pong, but Rhys James is there.
00:04:24He's only held it up.
00:04:25Rodri.
00:04:26And Erling Haaland!
00:04:28Oh!
00:04:29Goodness me!
00:04:30You don't get any closer than that.
00:04:34Chelsea get a throw in.
00:04:38Chelsea get a throw in.
00:04:42And the post gets a rattling from Haaland.
00:04:46Oh, brilliant really.
00:04:48Very unlucky.
00:04:50His next goal will be his 150th for the club.
00:04:54It won't be long in coming, that's for sure.
00:04:56Chelsea have given the ball away.
00:05:06And Cherokee exchanges the touch with Rodri.
00:05:11Badia Shields touch.
00:05:14Reinders!
00:05:19Great finish.
00:05:22That is a pretty devastating finish from Tijani Reinders.
00:05:27And Manchester City break the deadlock.
00:05:30With four minutes of the first half remaining.
00:05:33Well, this really is a splendid goal.
00:05:36Haaland the threat.
00:05:37Badia Shields kept it from him, but played it straight into Reinders.
00:05:42A little flick off the Chelsea defender as it goes in.
00:05:47Reinders hits it beautifully.
00:05:50Might just be a touch off the toe of Badia Shield.
00:05:53But it flew into the roof of the net.
00:05:56And Manchester City lead by a goal to nil.
00:06:02O'Reilly's cushioned header down.
00:06:04Gusto's nicked it away from Rodri.
00:06:06Well won back by Guardiol.
00:06:08Now Rodri.
00:06:09And Cole Palmer.
00:06:11Guardiol is down.
00:06:12Enzo Fernandes to Palmer's left.
00:06:13And he plays him in.
00:06:14Enzo Fernandes.
00:06:15Lovely little pirouette.
00:06:16And Pedro Neto has missed it.
00:06:17With the goal gaping.
00:06:18And it really should be one each.
00:06:19Well, Guardiol was on the ground throughout that whole Chelsea attack.
00:06:24Which should have resulted in an equalising goal.
00:06:27Enzo Fernandes did well here.
00:06:28Enzo Fernandes did well here.
00:06:29And Pedro Neto simply has to get that on target.
00:06:34Enzo Fernandes got a boot in.
00:06:35But Bernardo Silva would not be denied.
00:06:36Erling Haaland here.
00:06:37Great pace.
00:06:38Tearing away from Canova.
00:06:39Brilliant run, Gablon.
00:06:40Good block.
00:06:41And it's over.
00:06:42It's over.
00:06:43It's over.
00:06:44And it's over.
00:06:45And it has resulted in an equalising goal.
00:06:46Enzo Fernandes did well here.
00:06:47And Pedro Neto simply has to get that on target.
00:06:53Enzo Fernandes got a boot in.
00:06:57But Bernardo Silva would not be denied.
00:07:00Erling Haaland here.
00:07:01Great pace.
00:07:02Tearing away from Canova.
00:07:04Brilliant run, Gablon.
00:07:05Good block, Haaland still, O'Reilly has failed to keep the ball in play, I'll talk about
00:07:20explosive here, Erling Haaland collecting the ball a couple of metres inside his own
00:07:26half and just driving on with enormous threat, good block by Badia Schiel, Gianluigi Donnarumma
00:07:37forward to Erling Haaland, beautifully cushioned, Cherki has got the pace to get away from Santos,
00:07:43Bernardo Silva's there, brilliant recovery from Harto, well that's outstanding, great flick
00:07:51here from Erling Haaland, good pace by Cherki, too much for Andres Santos, look how much
00:07:57ground Jor-El Harto made up.
00:08:07Dilap and Cole Palmer and Enzo Fernandes getting forward, here's Jor-El Harto.
00:08:13And Dilap, good turn, tight angled, Donnarumma save, and those nagging doubts about these
00:08:26three points from Manchester City continue.
00:08:28Chelsea have arguably been the more dangerous side in the second half, well snubbered by the
00:08:37Italian. Certainly some anxiety around the Etihad right now as Enzo Fernandes finds Pedro Neto and Jor-El
00:08:51Harto. Harto's cross missed by Cole Palmer and Dilap couldn't get anything really meaningful on it.
00:08:59That was a real opportunity for Cole Palmer, Chelsea have taken only two points from their
00:09:07last eight league games against Manchester City, they still live in hope of getting one from this.
00:09:13Rhys James, six minutes were indicated, three of them have been played, here's Gusto, oh excellent,
00:09:19got away from O'Reilly, there's four in the middle for Chelsea, Gusto, Dilap couldn't get there,
00:09:24surely from Enzo Fernandes for Chelsea. It's 1-1 in stoppage time and you cannot say they don't deserve it.
00:09:35Donnarumma is beaten, Fernandes scores, Chelsea and Arsenal celebrate an Enzo Fernandes equaliser.
00:09:45There is a check, of course, possible offside. Enzo Fernandes at the second attempt,
00:09:56prodded it into the back of the net and the goal will stand. It's Manchester City 1, Chelsea 1.
00:10:08Pep, very frustrating finish to the game. It felt like the control got away from you a little bit,
00:10:13because first half you were 1-0 up, it could have been more.
00:10:17The control go away for what?
00:10:19Well, I felt you were completely in control of the game at half-time and they changed shape a little bit
00:10:25and the momentum of the game changed a bit.
00:10:28I'm not agreeing, but it's OK. They scored a goal, that's why you analyze the results. Of course,
00:10:34they make a step up, we make it more intense in the pressing. They had the chances because we lost two
00:10:39balls in the beginning of the second half, but if you believe they achieved the momentum, OK,
00:10:45you know, maybe not better than me.
00:10:47We started really well, especially the first half. The second half, it was a bit more open
00:10:51and went more up and down and still we created some big opportunities and, yeah,
00:10:56disappointed that we conceded the goal so late.
00:11:00So we all know the week we've had, but the boys were focused and, yeah, in life you either drop your
00:11:06heads or you keep going. And for us, we knew what the game plan was today. We knew what we wanted
00:11:11and, yeah, we've done well to get the point.
00:11:13It's credit to the players. Like, imagine what they're feeling at half-time.
00:11:18Manchester City with a much better team in the first half, interim coach, all the change that's
00:11:22gone on, all the injuries we've had, by the character they've shown. And they've shown it all week.
00:11:26Like, Reece, Enzo, Tosin, like, the leaders in the group have really pulled it together.
00:11:31So it's a special, special group of players.
00:11:34A frustrated Pep Guardiola there because City have dropped four points in their last two matches,
00:11:39but Callum McFarlane there had a game plan to frustrate them and it worked largely in the first half.
00:11:44Yeah, a rookie manager, you know, one chance in a lifetime to manage against Pep Guardiola,
00:11:47perhaps, away at the edge. He had nothing to lose, but he had a game plan, he definitely had,
00:11:51and City couldn't find a way through. They did eventually with rounders, but at the same time,
00:11:55this was a game plan here. We've seen this for most of the first half. You see a 5-4-1 formation,
00:12:00Gabby, and now you're asking City, can they, are they good enough to play through these lines,
00:12:04play through the first, they're really nice and compact. And you know, you know, Callum McFarlane
00:12:08would have worked on this, you know, leading up to the game, it's a big day for him. But again,
00:12:11there's a lot of turmoil, he says at the football club, but there's a clear message,
00:12:13you see the five again. This time, Rounders, Rounders receives the ball, Achimpong jumps out,
00:12:19but you see then, this opportunity, they do get in. But again, they've got enough players back in
00:12:23a defensive position to clear the danger. You see in the middle, we'll see Haaland, you know,
00:12:272v1, there's plenty of bodies back, enough to defend across. And again, they look comfortable
00:12:32for long periods of the first half, defending against Manchester City, who we know how good
00:12:37they are going forward. I said to Gary Offer, I said, at some stage you'll have to feel a punch
00:12:41when you go to Manchester. You see here, they commit six bodies forward, Gabby. That's great
00:12:45if you can get a shot off or get a goal. But what it does do, if you won the tackle,
00:12:49which they do in the edge of the box, now you're buying in trouble. They do get away
00:12:52because they won the tackle high up the pitch, and you think they've escaped the danger.
00:12:56But they never got back into that 5-4-1 formation that we spoke about just previously. And City,
00:13:01again, we know how decisive they are in the forward positions. They move the ball really quickly,
00:13:05get forward. And again, there's a bit of luck at the end of this, because it comes off the defender.
00:13:09You see a 4v4 high up the pitch. They're really stretched now at this point, Chelsea.
00:13:13But they nearly get away. A bit of luck, a bit of a break. And you think Reinders,
00:13:17on your left foot, you know, it's a brilliant finish from him because he's right-footed,
00:13:20and it's a fantastic finish. But again, defensively, I think Chelsea were really strong today in that
00:13:25first half. Pip might have alluded to that he didn't think there was a momentum shift,
00:13:28but we certainly think there was one. Because 1-0 down at half-time, McFarlane wasn't afraid
00:13:33to make tactical changes. No, I think fair play to him, because the easiest part of a manager's job is when
00:13:37you've got time. So when you've got the week to build your prep, like the bit that Shea's just
00:13:41covered there, you've got days to work on that on the training ground. But when it's match day and
00:13:45it's half-time when you're 1-0 down and you need to make a call, he didn't back out of making that
00:13:49call. You know, to take Esteval off, to shift the shape. You can see it here. They've moved Gusto
00:13:55back into his high right-back position rather than being on the left. Esteval has been withdrawn.
00:14:00They put Santos on to play in that double pivot, and it's allowed Enzo to play higher up the pitch.
00:14:05And then he used that freedom, Enzo, to cause Man City real problems. You see here they regain the
00:14:09ball. Cole Palmer rolled in off this right-hand side like he did so well against PSG in the Club
00:14:14World Cup. And now Enzo just using that running power. You know, and he's able to break forward
00:14:19and show great quality. And then Neto will be disappointed with that, because I know he's
00:14:23better than that from those areas. And then the introduction of Liam De Lappe as well,
00:14:26had a real impact on the game, caused the centre-backs of Manchester City problems.
00:14:30You see Enzo again here with that running power driving the team forward. Wouldn't have been able
00:14:35to do that in the first half from the lower position he was in. Bit of a longer clip,
00:14:38but they managed to sustain the pressure, get Enzo on the ball again in a high position,
00:14:43and a great ball into Liam De Lappe. And he did cause the centre-backs problems when he came on Liam.
00:14:47Although Manchester City did lose their two in Guardiola and in Diaz, they did cause the two that came on
00:14:55real problems. And then Gusto, high right back, he's much better on that side than he's on the left.
00:15:0094th minute, Enzo still using his power and his running power to get himself in a position that
00:15:05allows Chelsea to take a well-earned point away from the Etihad, which is no mean feat for an
00:15:11interim manager on his first day in charge. Yeah, sixth goal of the season. Look what it means to
00:15:14him there. And there were some lovely scenes at the end as well. We saw with Rhys James obviously
00:15:18making him go over to the Chelsea fans. And you can see as a manager, that must be enormously
00:15:22gratifying when you see the difference your changes have made. Yeah, and that should not
00:15:27be underestimated because that's difficult. He alluded to it in his post-match speech there
00:15:31around how the players would be feeling. You know, you've been completely dominated by
00:15:34Manchester City. You just do that to teams. And then to be able to make a change and be able to
00:15:39make the players believe in that change, and then to produce numbers like that, XG, shots,
00:15:44everything up, touches in the opposition box. So Pep might not have felt the momentum change quite so
00:15:49much, but the stats definitely showed that there was one. Yeah, it might be a short tenure as interim
00:15:54manager because reports are, and we understand that, Liam Rossinia is already in London, ready to
00:15:59be announced as Chelsea manager tomorrow. The Strasbourg manager currently, where he's been managing and
00:16:05doing fairly well, Shea, as well. 153 matches in his managerial career today, including Hull. So not the
00:16:11most experienced. No, but I think this is Liam's dream. I think all his life is that he's managed at the
00:16:16very highest level. And the Chelsea is one of the biggest jobs you'll get in the Premier League and
00:16:21maybe in world football. And I think he's ready. You say he's managed 153 games. He's done his
00:16:25apprenticeship and he's ready to go. He managed a young Strasbourg team as well, got them into
00:16:30European competition. And I think he'll be buzzing. You talk about the squad of players that Chelsea have.
00:16:36I know they've spent a lot of money, but they've spent well. He's worked with young players at
00:16:40Strasbourg before, and I think he's eager to jump into this position. The group own Strasbourg and
00:16:45Chelsea. They know how he works. They like the way he sets his team up there. He knows how they
00:16:49work. That's important. Yeah, it will be important. And that will be a key part to him taking the role,
00:16:53I think. And he's, you know, the Premier League's tough, and he'll find that out. But it's much
00:16:57easier doing it with Chelsea and the top players that you have available to you than maybe an
00:17:01introduction to the Premier League for a promotion with a newly promoted side. So he's going to get a
00:17:05fantastic opportunity at a top club. And obviously, we'll see very soon whether he's ready to grasp it.
00:17:10Thank you. Five more games to come from Sunday after December's goal of the month.
00:17:22What a strike! That was Vincent Kompany-esque. Well, it was a belter.
00:17:38Wilson. Oh, what a goal!
00:17:55The link-up play is absolutely sumptuous here. It is perfection.
00:18:01Lindenhock. Bit of space here for Morgan Rodgers. Might have a go at goal. And it's a brilliant
00:18:13strike as well.
00:18:19Rodgers in a lot of space. And how about that for a finish?
00:18:22Well, that's an absolute belter. Always looks good, doesn't it, when it comes in off the post.
00:18:47A free kick, which Chelsea hope will be a profitable one.
00:18:55Rhys James. Oh, it is!
00:18:58It's outstanding from Rhys James.
00:19:03Because that was inch-perfect.
00:19:04Again, giving the ball in a precarious position, but he's kept hold of it.
00:19:18And Morgan Rodgers has kept it in. Head down, it's Rodgers!
00:19:25It's an absolute ripper! He should never score from there. From that position, Rodgers in red-hot form.
00:19:34It's aри.
00:19:38tout court with the long throw.
00:19:41Volta Marder's head.
00:19:43Door goal!
00:19:44OooooooOh!
00:19:49What a memorable way to score your first Manchester United goal!
00:20:02Impressing.
00:20:02it's not well though
00:20:09stack super ball from him and to aarons
00:20:13and this forward here leads aaronson

00:24:04fulham 1 liverpool 0
00:24:06since the start of november
00:24:09only the top three in the premier league have picked up more points than fulham
00:24:14fulham remains an option
00:24:20fulham remain well organised
00:24:24from xobozlai charged down by smithrow corner kick
00:24:32xobozlai and headed against the crossbar
00:24:42anderson there
00:24:43now appeals for a penalty
00:24:46fulham survive
00:24:47mccallister head in hands
00:24:51knows how close he was to levelling things up
00:24:54bradley
00:25:03pouncing on a loose ball
00:25:05and driving at fulham
00:25:06and finding florian nets
00:25:08and once again
00:25:11the ball finds the back of the net
00:25:15liverpool discover that it was from an offside position
00:25:19florian vets this time
00:25:20the unlucky player in red
00:25:22kind of probably did tremendously well
00:25:25arguably deserved an assist for his contribution
00:25:28but vets was just beyond isa diop
00:25:31this is just being cleared up
00:25:34just in case
00:25:36diop's trailing leg was beyond
00:25:39the outstretched right boot of florian verts at the critical moment
00:25:43once again
00:25:47the on-field decision is going to be overturned
00:25:50and liverpool have an equaliser
00:25:52and florian verts has another liverpool goal
00:25:56it has been delivered at a critical moment
00:26:00belated jubilation in the away end
00:26:03is a muted celebration from liverpool
00:26:05who know there is still work to be done
00:26:07isa diop adjudged to have just been playing
00:26:11florian verts onside
00:26:14and just as in the first half of fulham
00:26:17liverpool's goal has taken some unpicking
00:26:20but the decision is to award it
00:26:23and it's fulham won liverpool won
00:26:25we'll want more than a point now
00:26:30so dominant have his side been in this second half
00:26:34bradley
00:26:37yes sir
00:26:38go go go go go
00:26:40robinson
00:26:42super pass
00:26:44well jimenez
00:26:45looks to be in
00:26:47alison has come
00:26:48knocked out with it
00:26:49wilson
00:26:49off the bar
00:26:51who'll get there first
00:26:53virgil van dyke
00:26:54so close fulham to regaining the leap
00:26:58the direct approach
00:27:00nearly working so effectively
00:27:03harry wilson looking to add to his first half goal
00:27:06denied by the crossbar
00:27:07and van dyke it was
00:27:10who made sure that he got to the loose ball
00:27:13the unbeaten runs have taken liverpool into the top four
00:27:17and fulham into european contention themselves
00:27:20which of the two
00:27:21has the greater desire
00:27:23and the quality
00:27:24to turn
00:27:26the draw into three points
00:27:29time running out
00:27:31but there is still time
00:27:33craven bear
00:27:35and the bradley
00:27:39for frimpong quality cross required
00:27:42and that is a quality cross
00:27:45which looks to have produced a match winning moment for cody gapo
00:27:51that gapo was alert to
00:28:04showing the instincts required
00:28:06has responded with a goal at a critical moment
00:28:11a vicious delivery
00:28:13that gapo was alert to
00:28:16showing the instincts required
00:28:20to step forward late on in the game
00:28:23and score for liverpool a goal
00:28:26that looks to have secured for them a fifth win in eight
00:28:30well having scored
00:28:34and having been cautioned as a consequence
00:28:37cody gapo is going to be withdrawn
00:28:40but he can leave with the acclaim of the travelling support
00:28:44they feel as though it's job done
00:28:47robinson's throw to kevin
00:28:55and then will field defeat is harsh on them
00:29:00harrison reed from distance
00:29:01an exceptional goal
00:29:06from the most unlikely source
00:29:08a how and well moment from harrison reed
00:29:13just as the points look gone for fulham
00:29:17they have responded
00:29:19almost immediately
00:29:21in the groove fulham
00:29:23they simply don't know at the moment when they are beaten
00:29:25sent on
00:29:27to provide some midfield energy late in the game
00:29:31and instead
00:29:32it is harrison reed
00:29:34who has scored the most improbable late equaliser
00:29:38a near perfect strike
00:29:41better than anything he could possibly have dreamed of delivering
00:29:44an exceptional goal
00:29:46to make it fulham to liverpool two
00:29:50have you ever hit a ball better than that
00:29:54it fell nice off the foot
00:29:55and then it was just praying it went in the top corner
00:29:57to see it dip in obviously circumstances as well
00:30:00amazing feeling
00:30:01i will tell you i've been practicing and training
00:30:04the boys
00:30:04the boys know it they've seen it as well
00:30:06so just had
00:30:07just had to get my chance
00:30:08he says he's been practicing
00:30:09is that what you sent him on to do
00:30:11it's not the first time that you see it to be honest
00:30:13yesterday of course is a moment that
00:30:15they use in the end of the minus one session to do it something
00:30:19i i of course if you ask me
00:30:21of course i didn't put him thinking that he's going to score that goal
00:30:23but of course that is poor inspiration from him
00:30:26and he deserves all the greatness
00:30:27i think we fought very hard in the second half
00:30:29we were dominating at moments
00:30:31trying to create chances to go through
00:30:34and at the end yeah i scored i think 90 plus 5
00:30:38the moment i i sat down on the bench
00:30:40they scored wonderful goal to be fair
00:30:42we were two one up and having to defend
00:30:45a long throw in which we expected and
00:30:48we brought joe gomais in because he's of course he's very good for the air
00:30:52but they didn't take it long they took it short
00:30:56and it was an incredible strike
00:30:58the boys should deserve to get a reward
00:31:01once in a while but unfortunately we don't get it
00:31:04and the only ones to blame is ourselves as well
00:31:06because we concede in these moments
00:31:09but fighting so hard to be two one up
00:31:12it's unbelievable that every time then the ball goes in in the end
00:31:16but it was a truly magnificent goal
00:31:20harrison reed coming in with the heroics of harrison ford
00:31:23with that goal
00:31:24at 92 minutes he comes on the pitch
00:31:2696 minutes i think you just need to wax lyrical
00:31:28yeah i don't think marco silver brought him off
00:31:30on off the bench for this
00:31:31probably just to maybe sew it up
00:31:32or to try and like give a bit of balance in midfield
00:31:34if liverpool break away
00:31:36but they set up for it for a long throw
00:31:37is arniss lost
00:31:38but reed comes into the picture
00:31:39i mean at this
00:31:40you know you let the pictures do this justice
00:31:42this is just a phenomenal strike
00:31:43it's quite funny harrison said after that
00:31:45i've practiced this in training
00:31:46but again like that just roider over stuff
00:31:48it really is
00:31:49to get that much dip in movement
00:31:51and swaz allison's got absolutely no chance at all
00:31:53and see if it just pops up as he hits it there
00:31:55this is an unbelievable strike
00:31:57i mean gary you maybe weren't overly happy
00:31:59with the liverpool defending
00:32:00yeah no and i understand they're set up for a long throw
00:32:03but as soon as fulham don't throw it long
00:32:05you have to react to this 4v2
00:32:07you know some of them liverpool players in the penalty area
00:32:09need to get up and get some pressure on the ball
00:32:11you can't leave that 4v2 for that long
00:32:13and of course you don't expect to be punished like this
00:32:16but boy did harrison be punished in a hell of a strike
00:32:19i'm not sure many of his practices went where that one went
00:32:21but the one that mattered did
00:32:23now there's no alexander isak we know for liverpool for a few months
00:32:27ekatike out at the moment
00:32:28could be back later this week for the arsenal game on thursday
00:32:31it's a short-term injury
00:32:32so kody gakpo playing in a more central role today
00:32:35what did you make of his performance
00:32:36yeah i didn't mind it actually
00:32:37you know i think arna slott talked about maybe
00:32:39in front of the goal we struggled
00:32:40but i think gakpo done well
00:32:41you keep an eye on him here on the left-hand side
00:32:44but he actually bends his run here as a centre forward you want to do
00:32:47and he gets through on goal
00:32:48i mean it's just not a great finish at the end of that
00:32:50on his weaker left foot
00:32:51of course we know him cutting in on his right
00:32:52he's very strong
00:32:53but again look at central of the goal
00:32:55and again this is a brilliant header
00:32:56heads it back where it came from
00:32:57just a little bit unlucky
00:32:58that it's come back off the woodwork
00:33:00but great movement from him
00:33:01and then again we show that he's involved in the goal
00:33:03i think latter parts of the stage
00:33:04he went out to the left side
00:33:05but he's not happy just be getting involved in the build-up
00:33:08gabby's thinking right can we score a goal
00:33:10he makes himself 94-95 minutes
00:33:12brilliant ball from frimpong
00:33:13and where is he
00:33:14number nine in the middle of the six-yard box
00:33:16where you want him to be
00:33:17and he tucks it away nicely
00:33:18and again he thinks he's got the winning goal
00:33:20at this stage before
00:33:22mr reed stepped up
00:33:23and stole the party off him
00:33:24but i was happy with gakpo how he played
00:33:27it says he's played before there for PSV
00:33:29he's played there for the netherlands as well
00:33:30so i think he knows the position
00:33:32okay there was a lot of noise online
00:33:34about florian versus goal
00:33:36of course during the match it was checked for offside
00:33:38and to the naked eye
00:33:40there are angles where it does look offside
00:33:42now from a semi-automated kind of opinion and position
00:33:46they're happy that with the tolerance that they have
00:33:49with the lines
00:33:50that it is onside
00:33:51because the advantage when the lines touch
00:33:53between the last player and the defender
00:33:56is about five centimetres
00:33:58and it's given to the attacking player
00:33:59that kind of advantage
00:34:00are you happy
00:34:01all the best gary
00:34:02yeah gabby's done quite well
00:34:03explaining that there
00:34:04i've had my own battles with var
00:34:06and trying to guess as a manager
00:34:08whether it's on or off
00:34:10but they made they did make the lines thicker
00:34:12four years ago i think
00:34:13to try and give an advantage
00:34:14but i think all of us would say
00:34:16that on the naked eye
00:34:18florian verts his foot looks ahead
00:34:20of the ops there
00:34:21florian verts looks like he's just drifted
00:34:24into that lighter cut of grass
00:34:25whereas we would say diop looks firmly planted in the darker cut
00:34:29so you would say
00:34:30that this is probably going to be disallowed for offside at this moment
00:34:34but then when it when it then turns to the to the semi-automated view
00:34:37you can see it doesn't quite look the same
00:34:40and it looks like florian verts has managed just to stay the right side of diop
00:34:46and whether that tolerance
00:34:47we don't have the privilege of seeing the lines here
00:34:50but whether that tolerance of about five centimetres
00:34:52has led to this goal standing
00:34:54is a possibility but
00:34:55florian verts needs the goal to be fair to him
00:34:58full and won't be so pleased with it but a big goal for florian verts
00:35:01marco silva's reaction
00:35:02seems quite measured
00:35:03yeah i guess the harrison reed goal
00:35:06probably takes the edge off it a little bit for him
00:35:08and i think as
00:35:10as managers and coaches in the end
00:35:12you have to accept that
00:35:13the technology is there to do its job
00:35:14and we have to accept that
00:35:16at the moment
00:35:16it's doing the best job that it possibly can
00:35:18and it's being interpreted in the best way possible
00:35:20you mentioned it's been a few years now that that has been the way they've been viewed
00:35:23and actually the premier league is the only major league left in europe that is doing that the others are still kind of working or are working to the toenail
00:35:30yeah so a strong possibility that maybe would have been disallowed in in some of the other major leagues around europe but as it is at the moment the technology has got that one right for us and cleared up a very tight decision
00:35:39you say cleared up i mean we're talking yeah yeah cleared up to the best we can
00:35:42okay next leeds united and manchester united renew their war of the roses as the reds cross the pennines to play the whites of yorkshire
00:35:51your commentator is guy mowbray
00:35:53after today every team in the premier league will have faced all the others this season
00:36:00the opponents leeds look for first are the ones they've had to wait for longest
00:36:06there are two changes to the leads lineup from their new year's day draw at liverpool
00:36:10with dominic calvert lewin and noah okafor coming back in to start
00:36:14lucas mecha is a substitute captain ethan amperdue ruled out suspended and jayden bogle is out with a calf injury
00:36:22for the visiting united only one difference to their team in names as lenny euro replaces joshua zergzi
00:36:28he's on the bench alongside five teenagers with a whole raft of senior players once again absent
00:36:35leeds waiting to play manchester united pales away compared with waiting to beat them
00:36:44they haven't done that in nine premier league meetings and in seven overalls since jermaine
00:36:50beckford's one nil winner for then league one leads at old trafford 16 years ago yesterday
00:36:56lamans nice easy stroke of the ball offside flag is raised as matthias cuña has a go
00:37:04and scores in fine style but it's not going to count
00:37:08and i'm pretty sure he was offside
00:37:14maybe not matthias cuña but i'm pretty certain cesco was and he went for the ball to try and help it on
00:37:24whether he touched it or not is largely irrelevant
00:37:2622 minutes in and leeds united pay tribute to joshua pick who died suddenly aged 22 recently a lead season ticket holder
00:37:41from six years old his dad and sister are here at the game today and we wish them all well
00:37:48justin calvert lewin shielding his eyes from the low sun here's strauch
00:37:56stack calvert lewin off the post
00:38:04so close to scoring again
00:38:08he was inches away from being one nil leads through their number nine once more
00:38:13just what a striker in dominic calvert lewin's form would want
00:38:17only needed just a little bit more head on ball
00:38:21that clears borne out cuña
00:38:27shaw
00:38:29two in the box for cuña dog who can't attack it though
00:38:33it's turned behind by goodmanson
00:38:35and after a spell of leads being in the ascendancy it might be manchester united's turn for a bit now
00:38:42look sure to take the corner
00:38:46it's a deep one
00:38:48and it's casimiro and saved by lucas perry
00:38:51brilliant reaction stop
00:38:53casimiro on to lenny euro just trying to divert it
00:38:58all he could do there was get it goal bound he did that
00:39:02lucas perry in the right place
00:39:04a game that needs a creative spark
00:39:09a game that needs a player of eddie gray's abilities
00:39:13he made his league united debut 60 years ago
00:39:16first of january 1966
00:39:19three nil against sheffield wednesday he scored one and he made two before assists were a thing
00:39:24what a player
00:39:26stroke
00:39:28heaven has a look aronson is closing in and aronson is there first and finishes
00:39:38ellen road has erupted
00:39:39brendan aronson's non-stop running has got reward
00:39:48aiden heaven caught cold
00:39:52a moment for all these young and old to absolutely love
00:39:57aronson has not always been flavor of the month here
00:40:02right now at this minute
00:40:04he's the toast of the town
00:40:06he wanted it just that bit more
00:40:09but then he had to find the composure to put it in
00:40:12brilliantly dispatched
00:40:15and it's league united one manchester united nil
00:40:18and manchester united now feel the need to make a change
00:40:22lenny euro is off
00:40:23joshua zerkzzi comes on
00:40:25well aiden heaven has performed really well
00:40:28in these seven games now in a row that he started
00:40:31but there was an aberration
00:40:33you can't switch off in the premier league
00:40:36and in this fixture of all fixtures
00:40:38you absolutely must be on it at every second
00:40:42zerkzzi
00:40:44looking for cunha
00:40:46and cunha has slid in and slotted it past lucas perry
00:40:50it's 1-1
00:40:52league's turn to get it all wrong in defense
00:40:57this is one of huge importance for manchester united
00:41:02cisco won it laid it off to zerkzzi
00:41:05he played a perfectly weighted pass for cunha
00:41:09and not for the first time cunha found himself free
00:41:12and just like aronson at the other end
00:41:15well how good was the finish
00:41:17the game has been plugged in
00:41:21from 0-0 to 1-1
00:41:23in just under three minutes
00:41:27okafor on his way
00:41:33calvert-lewin in the middle
00:41:35but so is heaven
00:41:36be all got a help on to that
00:41:49good try good save
00:41:50lemons forced to spring into action
00:41:54after okafor's acrobatic attempt
00:41:57great try
00:42:00so alex ferguson was 84 on new year's eve
00:42:06he was never going to miss this one
00:42:09dalo
00:42:11lukate
00:42:15zerkzzi
00:42:16now matthias cunha luke shaw is an extra center forward in this move
00:42:21here's zerkzzi
00:42:22zerkzzi across cisco's effort is wide
00:42:25he made good contact with the ball
00:42:28he made good contact with the ball
00:42:28just maybe hit it too straight
00:42:31planted firmly wide of the post
00:42:34big chance for manchester united to take the lead
00:42:37be all's header goes straight to cunha
00:42:42cisco gets it through the legs for zerkzzi
00:42:45now it's dorku
00:42:47cunha wants it
00:42:48cunha has the try
00:42:49oh was it saved or just wide
00:42:52look at the curl on that from cunha
00:42:57so so close to
00:43:00making it 2-1 manchester united
00:43:02it's justin who heads forward to nyonto
00:43:06lovely ball from nyonto
00:43:10here's stack
00:43:11piru to the right
00:43:13stack finds him
00:43:14piru
00:43:15under the roof
00:43:17made his mind up before the ball came to him
00:43:21that that's what he was going to try to do
00:43:24not far away at all
00:43:27and it is full time at ellen road
00:43:31leads draw for a third game in a row
00:43:35there's seven unbeaten now
00:43:37but manchester united have only lost one of their last eight
00:43:41they're much more resilient away from home these days
00:43:44lead united one
00:43:46manchester united one
00:43:47we are a bit disappointed because it was possible also to win this game
00:43:52you could feel that we were a bit tired today
00:43:55and also we're missing many key players
00:43:57it was probably football-wise not our best performance
00:44:00but we found still a way to defend really well
00:44:02and to go and lead
00:44:04and it was definitely possible also to win this game for that
00:44:06we are a bit disappointed
00:44:07but on the other hand
00:44:08it shows also
00:44:09and says a lot
00:44:10that you are disappointed with just one point against man united
00:44:13as a promoted side
00:44:14an important point for us
00:44:15we talk about this
00:44:16the resilience
00:44:17and then everyone knows like
00:44:19it's so important to the players
00:44:21who miss today
00:44:22but we have like a big character in the team
00:44:25we need like two easy shirts and then show everything in the pitch
00:44:28and then i think we did it
00:44:30and then i hope we can do much more the next game
00:44:32yeah we're going to take it you know with a ton of confidence
00:44:35because you know where we've been you know the last month of games that we've had
00:44:37i mean going to liverpool
00:44:38coming back home you know two away games
00:44:41and sunderland too
00:44:42they're not they're not easy places to go to
00:44:43so to stay unbeaten
00:44:44and i think we could even have more points from these games
00:44:46so um we just need to keep going from here
00:44:48well after the match
00:44:50ruben amaran said this in his press conference
00:44:52i just want to say that i'm going to be the manager of this team
00:44:57not just the coach
00:44:58and i was really clear on that
00:45:01and that is going to finish in 18 months
00:45:03and then everyone is going to to to move on
00:45:07that was the deal
00:45:09that is my job not to be a coach
00:45:12if people cannot handle the gary nevels and the criticism of everything
00:45:17we need to change the the club
00:45:20i came here to be the manager of manchester united not to be the coach
00:45:24and every department the scouting department the sport director needs to do their job
00:45:28i will do mine for 18 months and then we move on
00:45:31the question he was responding to ruben amaran was about control at the club
00:45:36and that answer clearly would would point to discord
00:45:39with regard to the hierarchy at the club
00:45:42yeah yeah he's not happy
00:45:43it looks like there's a bit of a
00:45:45it feels like we don't know obviously
00:45:46it feels like there's a bit of a fallout between himself
00:45:48and and of course jason walcox the director of football
00:45:51and he said in numerous cases two or three times there
00:45:53that he's the manager not just not just the coach
00:45:56so what that tells me is
00:45:57he's overseeing players coming in
00:45:59he's overseeing maybe players going out
00:46:00who comes to the club who doesn't
00:46:02or he would like to
00:46:02he would like to but maybe that's not happened
00:46:04maybe it's been nowhere in january now the promises of maybe players coming in
00:46:08maybe the goalposts have changed
00:46:09and a lot of you know
00:46:10gary may tell you about it
00:46:11but a lot of managers you know
00:46:12they are head coaches now
00:46:13and they've got heads of heads doing other things
00:46:15but you look at the great sir alex fergus
00:46:17and he managed that football club
00:46:18like no other
00:46:19i look at maybe a new nae emery at aston villa
00:46:21it feels like he's got the final say
00:46:24in everything that comes and goes in aston villa
00:46:25and look where they're at in the league
00:46:26and also i'd say if man united won on weston eight against burnley
00:46:29they're up the fourth
00:46:30and if you look at their bench in the last couple of weeks
00:46:32he's got a bunch of kids on there
00:46:33so i don't think he's doing a bad job
00:46:34but it does feel as a bit of a
00:46:36a bit of a falling out behind the scenes perhaps
00:46:38what do you think as a manager sitting in that chair
00:46:40his aim was
00:46:41what was the end game
00:46:42yeah no i think when you deliver a press conference like that
00:46:45you're obviously trying to make a point
00:46:46he's unhappy about something
00:46:48it's very difficult for us
00:46:49without knowing the inner workings at the football club
00:46:51and the conversations that go on
00:46:52what he's unhappy with
00:46:54i agree with shay that
00:46:55there's not much for him to work with at the moment
00:46:58if you look at that bench that manchester united are naming
00:47:00you know it's they are fifth or sixth in the league
00:47:02and maybe they're not underachieving too much
00:47:05with what he's got available to him
00:47:06so i understand his his need and his want for more backing
00:47:09um but it is a dicey game to play
00:47:12when you're sat in that chair
00:47:13and you start to criticize people above you
00:47:14maybe when it's not gone overly well for you
00:47:17over the last 18 months
00:47:18but you know he's an intelligent guy
00:47:20big boy i'm sure he knows what he's doing
00:47:22and if he feels he needs to make a point in that moment
00:47:24then he has every right to do so
00:47:26i guess recent example enzema reska didn't quite work out for him did it when he
00:47:29no it goes one way or the other
00:47:30you normally get some support or or it can end fairly abruptly
00:47:33on the pitch the player that they're looking to at the moment for creativity and an attacking threat
00:47:37you know very well matthias kunya from your time at wolves
00:47:39yeah one of my favorite players that i worked with at wolves
00:47:42we did an awful lot of work with him
00:47:43um on arriving in attacking areas that really suited him
00:47:47so manchester united have used him in a similar zone
00:47:50but it does still feel like he's carrying a lot of the burden in the attacking
00:47:54i know they're missing players at the moment
00:47:55fantastic finish he's unlucky that cesco's just
00:47:58not quite managed to get back from an offside position
00:48:00but shows his quality
00:48:01but here just a lack of attackers on the pitch from ntsc united
00:48:05and you know kunya needs people he needs runners to be able to find
00:48:09and he'll find them his right foot's one of the best in the business
00:48:12so there he's only got cesco
00:48:13and dog who's really late to arrive
00:48:15so a fantastic ball into a dangerous area from kunya
00:48:18but not enough attackers for him to play with and combine and
00:48:21and create things here dallo playing outside
00:48:24poor ball inside and now aronson punishes them on the counter attack
00:48:27and this was the catalyst really
00:48:29this was the thing that sparked a reaction from amory and manchester united
00:48:32zerksey comes straight off the bench
00:48:34and literally instantly you see three attackers who are able to combine
00:48:38no fullbacks playing higher up the pitch
00:48:40three out and out attackers
00:48:42and they're able to combine cesco sets zerksey
00:48:45kunya makes that running behind
00:48:47and we did loads and loads of finishing drills with him
00:48:49and his right foot when you get him in and around the goal is deadly
00:48:52he hits the net time after time
00:48:54same again zerksey zesco
00:48:55they work it between them
00:48:57and then they find the third link
00:48:58matthias kunya
00:48:59once you get him here
00:49:00if he's got a runner
00:49:01he'll find it
00:49:02in the first half he didn't have one
00:49:03second half zerksey makes a fantastic running behind
00:49:06perfect weight on the pass from kunya
00:49:08and then zesco will be disappointed he should do better
00:49:10same again kunya
00:49:12drops down to him
00:49:14he's got two to combine with two attackers who he can play with would probably like more
00:49:17but at least he's got two
00:49:18they combine again
00:49:19zerksey and zesco are able to take the defenders away
00:49:22gets matthias kunya half a yard
00:49:24and then that one of a right foot
00:49:26nearly clinches the whole three points for manchester united
00:49:29but another big big performance for him
00:49:31and here you can see like
00:49:32there's no they're not blessed with goals
00:49:34you know matthias kunya for casemiro for
00:49:37and then there's not a lot else in that group
00:49:39and i understand they're missing players
00:49:41but this is manchester united it's the biggest or one of the biggest clubs in the country
00:49:45and you would expect their starting eleven and bench
00:49:48to provide a lot more goal threat than it does at the moment
00:49:50so heavily reliant on matthias
00:49:51and it says a lot about leeds and their run in december in particular
00:49:55so the reaction of a lot of the players and the manager there
00:49:58that you know yes they're happy with the point
00:49:59but they've had such a good run since that defeat at the end of november to city
00:50:03they haven't lost a game in so
00:50:04yeah the flame he was under pressure daniel farke as well wasn't he
00:50:07and they trusted him they stuck behind him
00:50:08seven unbeaten eight points clear of the drop zone
00:50:10he's doing a great job
00:50:12okay we've got plenty more sport coming up for you on the bbc

00:50:58jack grealish is now fully recovered from the festive lurgy
00:51:01tieno barry says watching videos of former toffee striker romelu lukaku
00:51:06helped inspire his goal last time out at forest
00:51:0927 points is brentford's second highest telly at this stage of a premier league season
00:51:14quivine keller has seven seasons at liverpool included only one merseyside derby
00:51:19a one nil victory at anfield in april of last year
00:51:22after a dry december igor tiago is looking to end a six game wait for a goal
00:51:27o'brien tried to reverse the ball
00:51:35only find dams guards
00:51:37tiago
00:51:38blocks jensen's attempted ball and grealish gets away
00:51:43jack grealish
00:51:45back to dwight and a kneel
00:51:47who draws
00:51:48a fine stop from
00:51:50quivine keller
00:51:51first big moment for the irish goalkeeper
00:51:56first corner of the game
00:52:00to be taken by dwight mcneil
00:52:02tricky one
00:52:04cleared off the line by tiago
00:52:06well a nervy few minutes for keith andrews is met
00:52:11and it's brentford's number nine
00:52:14back on defensive duties
00:52:16david moy is just a few days away from mark in 12 months since his return back to the club
00:52:23everton 11 points better off at this stage than last season
00:52:26tarkovsky
00:52:30jenna intercepts cross towards tiago
00:52:35a fair sniff of a goal for igor tiago and he dispatches it
00:52:44david moy is clearly not impressed
00:52:48but that happened ever so quickly for brentford's
00:52:52everton are in possession here
00:52:55tarkovsky
00:52:56that passes red and yanl very speedy on the delivery
00:53:01and tiago gets in behind michael keane only earling harland has bagged more goals than the
00:53:08brazilian so far this season his 12th of the campaign to make it everton nil brentford
00:53:14one brentford's first efforts on goal bringing about maximum rewards
00:53:21jensen
00:53:23tiago to make it two denied by jordan pickford
00:53:28excellent movement off the ball from tiago
00:53:33jordan pickford uses the angle to his advantage
00:53:37grealish
00:53:40last chance possibly here
00:53:44for everton to change the scoreline in the first half
00:53:47grealish
00:53:48still grealish
00:53:50onto his left
00:53:52ball across and what a save
00:53:54barry denied
00:53:55and so too keen
00:53:57incredible
00:54:00goalkeeping from
00:54:02quivine kelleher
00:54:03keeps brentford in front
00:54:05coyote
00:54:13dams guard
00:54:15gets away from irobuna
00:54:16goes low
00:54:18actually gave the everton man another chance at that
00:54:21but it will be a brentford corner
00:54:23janalt in front of the away support
00:54:30decent one and it's headed home
00:54:33captain fantastic nathan collins
00:54:38well what a start to the second half for keith andrews' side
00:54:44the run's not tracked and it's a simple header from close range for the irishman
00:54:51brentford
00:54:52heberton nil brentford two
00:54:55anthony
00:54:59NOA
00:54:59janalt
00:55:02urubuna
00:55:04and sir
00:55:04through the legs of kane
00:55:09Sharda
00:55:12Sharda
00:55:13Sharda
00:55:13Tiago
00:55:14Brentford are running riots at the Hill Dickinson Stadium
00:55:22look at that from Jensen
00:55:28Thiago takes charge his second of the afternoon who saw this scoreline coming pre-kickoff
00:55:40is the suspicion of an offside VAR are we having a look
00:55:44onside goal stands I'm not sure that's necessary from Thiago he's hugged Beto
00:55:53well after what David Moyes described as Everton's best performance since his return back to the club
00:56:01away at Nottingham Forest they're following it up with a horror show here against Brentford
00:56:06Garner's ball in decent one net by Torkoski and tipped over by Kelleher
00:56:15decent stop from underneath this crossbar
00:56:19that's a challenge is higher
00:56:28so slides in and the decision is Everton throw
00:56:34Grealish Beto glances it on and Everton have one back
00:56:47muted celebrations
00:56:51a sterny look from David Moyes is there life in this game yet for the home side
00:56:57it's the first time this season that an Everton player has come off the bench and scored
00:57:05neat header Kelleher beaten
00:57:09I think a few minutes ago maybe some Everton supporters were questioning whether or not they should see this one out
00:57:17well that goal certainly changed their minds
00:57:20dams guard only Lewis Potter to aim for so far does find him back to Thiago on a hat-trick and it deflects
00:57:30and into the welcome arms of Jordan Pickford the speed in which Keith Andrews' side transition
00:57:38and they still managed to get a shot on target
00:57:41roll goes low again and here's Thiago
00:57:50he's in on a hat-trick Igor Thiago
00:57:55caps a superb away day for Brentford
00:58:04he secures the match ball and puts an end to this contest
00:58:10Everton were taking risks they were pushing men forwards
00:58:14and look at just how much time and space Igor Thiago has
00:58:21he's got the freedom of the hill Dickinson stadium to bear down on Jordan Pickford
00:58:27Everton one
00:58:30Brentford four
00:58:31as you can see lots of blue empty seats amongst the home supporters
00:58:40you've seen more than enough
00:58:43Grealish
00:58:47Grealish
00:58:50Barry
00:58:51still time for more goals in this match
00:58:55there hasn't been many positives for Everton here this afternoon
00:59:01but both of their strikers on the score sheet is one
00:59:04Everton two
00:59:06Brentford four
00:59:08we were excellent
00:59:12right from the off really played with a lot of personality
00:59:16conviction
00:59:17energy
00:59:18spirit
00:59:19all the aspects of the game that I want to see from our team
00:59:22it come into a very very difficult
00:59:23ground
00:59:25even though it's a new ground
00:59:26difficult club to play against
00:59:27manager to play against
00:59:28who I have a serious amount of respect for
00:59:31so we knew we'd have to earn
00:59:33a result today
00:59:34but I have to say I thought we were excellent
00:59:36disappointment that we didn't play better
00:59:38but
00:59:39no we're just a bit short at the moment in some areas
00:59:42but in areas we lost the goals today we weren't short
00:59:46we've been very strong in those areas
00:59:47but I thought we were disappointed defensively today
00:59:50and
00:59:51certainly not as strong as we have been
00:59:53a word of appreciation for Igor Thiago
00:59:55I'm sure you go against him a lot in training
00:59:57so you'll know about his attributes
00:59:59and
00:59:59a short spell without scoring but back amongst the goals
01:00:03he's just a handful
01:00:04he has a bit of everything
01:00:05he runs in behind, he works hard, he holds the ball up
01:00:07and he can finish a ball
01:00:08he has everything to be the top striker
01:00:10and if he keeps going like this there's no reason he can't be
01:00:12he's played really well recently
01:00:13and not scored
01:00:14so I always felt the goals would come again
01:00:16it was unrealistic to think
01:00:18he was just going to continue banging in goals
01:00:20left, right and centre
01:00:21week in, week out
01:00:22like he had been
01:00:22so
01:00:23his performance again today
01:00:25was sensational
01:00:26and he truly deserves the accolades
01:00:28that he'll get off the back of it
01:00:29certainly not a typical Brentford performance on the road this season
01:00:33they've lost seven of nine
01:00:34but they were running rampant at the Hill Dickinson
01:00:36today
01:00:37and Thiago in particular
01:00:38off the back of six games without scoring
01:00:40yeah
01:00:40he was excellent Gabby
01:00:41there was
01:00:42there was
01:00:42there was no sign of a lack of confidence
01:00:44after not scoring for six games
01:00:46obviously he's been in the goals over the course of the season
01:00:48Everton were poor
01:00:49you know
01:00:49this is not their finest day
01:00:51mistakes
01:00:51as you'll see in the build up to a lot of these chances
01:00:53but
01:00:53proper number nine
01:00:55great movement off the back of the centre half
01:00:56and a fantastic finish
01:00:58and you can see him here
01:00:59his team mate spoke about it there
01:01:01Nathan Collins
01:01:01always wanting to threaten in behind
01:01:03these runs in behind
01:01:04so hard to deal with
01:01:05Pickford manages to save this one
01:01:07but then maybe he learns from that chance
01:01:09where he's managed
01:01:09where he's smashed it
01:01:10and Pickford's got a hand to it
01:01:11he competes at the top of the pitch
01:01:13and he's a target man for them
01:01:14but now you see him again
01:01:15just threatening in behind that Everton back line
01:01:18and he caused them real real problems today
01:01:20he doesn't get the first one
01:01:21gets this one
01:01:22and that's a great finish
01:01:23to just lift it over Pickford
01:01:24would have been easy to smash it against him
01:01:26another poor ball from Everton
01:01:28and then not well organised
01:01:30behind the ball Everton on that clip
01:01:31and you leave Thiago in this sort of space
01:01:33in the form that he's in
01:01:34and all of us were pretty sure
01:01:35that this was going to end
01:01:36one way in a goal
01:01:37another little dink finish
01:01:39and a Premier League hat-trick for him
01:01:40and well deserved
01:01:42a fantastic performance
01:01:43and look at that
01:01:45he's in very good company
01:01:46he is
01:01:47and I think there's a big tournament
01:01:49coming up in the summer isn't there
01:01:50the World Cup
01:01:51that I'm sure he's got his eyes on
01:01:53because Brazil
01:01:53haven't really ever set number nine
01:01:55for a while
01:01:55and I know he hasn't been called up yet
01:01:57but if he stays on that list
01:01:59and he keeps the company
01:02:00that he's keeping at the moment
01:02:01then it would be very very hard
01:02:02not to take him
01:02:03I mentioned Brentford's away form
01:02:05because actually their league position
01:02:06is very good
01:02:07and it's been built
01:02:07on their home form
01:02:08and Hill Dickinson
01:02:10for Everton
01:02:11at the moment
01:02:12their form there
01:02:13isn't very good is it
01:02:14and having had a good start
01:02:16to their new home
01:02:17things are looking a bit wobbly
01:02:18yeah Moyes said
01:02:19they're short in a few areas
01:02:20and again he'll be looking
01:02:20maybe at the window
01:02:21to try and strengthen
01:02:22but yeah
01:02:22the graph speaks for itself
01:02:24doesn't it
01:02:24I mean they're very
01:02:24Hill Dickinson's a brand new stadium
01:02:26and sometimes the opposition
01:02:27look like they
01:02:28like playing there
01:02:29more so in the home team
01:02:30and sometimes that happens Gabby
01:02:31but David Moyes
01:02:32will want to put that right
01:02:33we know he's a top manager
01:02:33and I'm sure he'll get it right
01:02:35okay
01:02:35Eddie Howe has said
01:02:37that January will be
01:02:38a season defining month
01:02:39for his Newcastle side
01:02:41they begin 2026
01:02:42against another side
01:02:43struggling for forming
01:02:44Crystal Palace
01:02:44commentary comes from
01:02:45Martin Fisher
01:02:46January will be defining
01:02:50it will certainly be tiring
01:02:51nine games over the next
01:02:5428 days for Newcastle
01:02:55in four different competitions
01:02:57Palace know all about
01:02:59hectic schedules
01:03:00this is their 32nd match
01:03:02of the campaign
01:03:03no Premier League side
01:03:05has played more
01:03:06one change for Newcastle
01:03:08Harvey Barnes replaced
01:03:09by Jacob Murphy
01:03:10who scored in their last
01:03:12two wins here
01:03:13over Palace
01:03:14the Eagles give a debut
01:03:15to Brennan Johnson
01:03:16who only joined them
01:03:18from Spurs on Friday
01:03:19for a club record fee
01:03:21of 35 million pounds
01:03:23neither side
01:03:28in good form
01:03:29at the moment
01:03:29first win in four
01:03:31for Newcastle on Tuesday
01:03:33the first point in four
01:03:35for Palace on Thursday
01:03:37to Nali
01:03:40Gordon
01:03:41two to his right
01:03:43gets it back from
01:03:45Gimmarais
01:03:46on now for Murphy
01:03:47whistle waits in the middle
01:03:49Mitchell with the block
01:03:50Newcastle's corner
01:03:51some pieces again
01:03:57something that they have
01:03:58struggled with
01:03:59of late
01:04:00Lewis Hall
01:04:01to swing this in
01:04:02for Newcastle
01:04:03it's deep
01:04:04Henderson helps it
01:04:04on its way
01:04:05Wisser
01:04:08in by Tonali
01:04:11punched away
01:04:13by Henderson
01:04:14back in by Hall
01:04:15Scher
01:04:15great save
01:04:16Henderson
01:04:16well it wasn't the greatest
01:04:22of punches away
01:04:23by the Palace goalkeeper
01:04:25at the start
01:04:25of all that
01:04:26but he was
01:04:28in the right position
01:04:29to deal with it
01:04:30when it came back
01:04:31his way
01:04:31from Fabian Scher
01:04:32Gimmarais
01:04:37lovely ball
01:04:38Wisser
01:04:39in on goal
01:04:40squares for Gordon
01:04:411-0 Newcastle
01:04:448th goal of the season
01:04:48for Anthony Gordon
01:04:49his first in the Premier League
01:04:52that hasn't come
01:04:52from the penalty spot
01:04:53this season
01:04:54I wonder there
01:04:59if Wisser
01:04:59is actually
01:05:00just ahead
01:05:01of Lerner
01:05:02so tight
01:05:04isn't it
01:05:04cut of the grass
01:05:09it looks ever
01:05:09so tight
01:05:10but it's
01:05:10the shoulder
01:05:11of Wisser
01:05:11that is just
01:05:12ahead
01:05:13of the Palace
01:05:14man
01:05:14it won't
01:05:16count
01:05:16Newcastle
01:05:18celebrations
01:05:19cut short
01:05:20Matthew
01:05:22Donahoe
01:05:22today's
01:05:24VAR
01:05:24with a decision
01:05:26inside
01:05:29for Gimmarais
01:05:30looking for
01:05:31Wisser
01:05:31and the block
01:05:34was by
01:05:35Canber
01:05:35Wisser
01:05:38looking sharp
01:05:39timed his run
01:05:40better there
01:05:41than he did
01:05:41earlier
01:05:412025
01:05:44brought welcome
01:05:45glory for
01:05:46both of these
01:05:47clubs
01:05:47a first
01:05:48domestic
01:05:48trophy
01:05:49and 70
01:05:49years
01:05:50for Newcastle
01:05:50first ever
01:05:52piece of silverware
01:05:53in Crystal Palace's
01:05:54history
01:05:55the future holds
01:05:57for them
01:05:57in 2026
01:05:58now Hughes
01:06:00Mitchell
01:06:01and Pino
01:06:01to his left
01:06:02it's Pino
01:06:04through for Hughes
01:06:05who's in
01:06:05oh he should have
01:06:06buried it
01:06:07what a chance
01:06:08for Will Hughes
01:06:09well he doesn't
01:06:11score many
01:06:11but he really
01:06:13should have
01:06:13buried that
01:06:14opportunity
01:06:14lovely way
01:06:16to pass
01:06:16by Pino
01:06:17and from there
01:06:19Hughes somehow
01:06:20puts it
01:06:21wide
01:06:22of the target
01:06:22and look
01:06:24at the reaction
01:06:24of Oliver
01:06:25Glasner
01:06:25now Gordon
01:06:30four around the
01:06:32corner
01:06:32Newcastle with four
01:06:34in the box
01:06:34here's Joe
01:06:35Linton
01:06:35now Wisser
01:06:36now Tudale
01:06:37and Palace
01:06:39scramble it
01:06:39away
01:06:40desperate
01:06:43defending
01:06:44but affected
01:06:45defending
01:06:45by Crystal Palace
01:06:46particularly
01:06:46by Tyric
01:06:47Mitchell
01:06:47Joe Linton
01:06:50Barnes with his
01:06:53first involvement
01:06:54stop
01:06:57by Canber
01:06:58sixth corner
01:07:04that Newcastle
01:07:05have had
01:07:05today
01:07:05none of them
01:07:06have really
01:07:06caused
01:07:07Palace
01:07:07that much
01:07:07difficulty
01:07:08came off
01:07:10the bar
01:07:11that one
01:07:11well
01:07:15look at his face
01:07:16he intended
01:07:16it
01:07:16look at the
01:07:18swing on
01:07:19that
01:07:19Henderson
01:07:20will argue
01:07:20that he
01:07:21had it
01:07:21covered
01:07:22now a chance
01:07:24for Miley
01:07:24to cross
01:07:25Gay
01:07:27nods away
01:07:28been a nice
01:07:31trip by
01:07:32Wharton
01:07:32Newcastle
01:07:35getting the
01:07:35free kick
01:07:36this is where
01:07:38Oliver Glasner
01:07:40will be getting
01:07:41a little
01:07:41concern
01:07:41that
01:07:42Palace
01:07:43are beginning
01:07:43to tire
01:07:44again
01:07:45first phase
01:07:48dealt with
01:07:48here's the
01:07:50second
01:07:50from Barnes
01:07:50arriving
01:07:51back post
01:07:51is Miley
01:07:52and it's
01:07:53not at
01:07:53home
01:07:54Bruno
01:07:57Gimaraes
01:07:57again
01:07:58comes up
01:08:01trumps
01:08:01for Newcastle
01:08:02Palace's
01:08:06resistance
01:08:07finally
01:08:08broken
01:08:09and Gimaraes
01:08:11nods home
01:08:12from inside
01:08:13the six
01:08:13yard box
01:08:14his seventh
01:08:15Premier League
01:08:16goal of the
01:08:17season
01:08:17and that
01:08:18matches his
01:08:19best ever
01:08:20tally in the
01:08:20Premier League
01:08:21of two seasons
01:08:22ago
01:08:22it's another goal
01:08:25that Palace have
01:08:26conceded from a
01:08:26set piece
01:08:27it has been
01:08:28there undoing
01:08:29all too often
01:08:30in recent weeks
01:08:32driven in by
01:08:34Murphy
01:08:34Miley
01:08:35for Cher
01:08:36and a header
01:08:38from Barnes
01:08:38brilliantly saved
01:08:39by Henderson
01:08:40it almost
01:08:41bounced
01:08:41to Wissett
01:08:42but Cambo
01:08:44was there
01:08:44for Palace
01:08:45to shove it
01:08:46behind
01:08:46Newcastle
01:08:49pressing hard
01:08:50now for a
01:08:51second goal
01:08:51another dangerous
01:08:54corner
01:08:55Joel Linton
01:08:55got a touch
01:08:56and it's in
01:08:56Malik Chow
01:08:59makes it
01:08:59two
01:08:59to Newcastle
01:09:00and that
01:09:02is that
01:09:02I'm sure
01:09:03from St
01:09:03James'
01:09:04Park
01:09:04another set
01:09:05piece
01:09:06brings another
01:09:07goal
01:09:07against Crystal
01:09:08Palace
01:09:08and once
01:09:10again
01:09:11they have
01:09:12tired
01:09:13significantly
01:09:14the longer
01:09:15the game
01:09:15has worn
01:09:16on
01:09:16we'll pinball
01:09:18in there
01:09:18for a second
01:09:19or two
01:09:19and it's
01:09:20Chow
01:09:20who gets
01:09:21the vital
01:09:22final touch
01:09:22forward by
01:09:27Kimmerich
01:09:27Barnes
01:09:28looked like
01:09:29he timed
01:09:29his run
01:09:29brilliantly
01:09:30Barnes is
01:09:31in here
01:09:31for Newcastle
01:09:32for number
01:09:32three
01:09:33how was that
01:09:37put wide
01:09:38by Joe
01:09:38Willock
01:09:39Henderson
01:09:41did really
01:09:41well
01:09:42to block
01:09:43the effort
01:09:44from Barnes
01:09:44but it
01:09:45looked like
01:09:45it was
01:09:45just
01:09:46a temporary
01:09:47reprieve
01:09:48as Joe
01:09:49Willock
01:09:49came bursting
01:09:50in from
01:09:50the far
01:09:50side
01:09:51from there
01:09:52Joe
01:09:53Willock
01:09:53has found
01:09:54a way
01:09:54of missing
01:09:56the target
01:09:56but it
01:09:57won't matter
01:09:57Newcastle
01:09:58have come
01:09:59through this
01:09:59one
01:09:59in the end
01:10:00rather comfortably
01:10:01Newcastle
01:10:022
01:10:02Palace
01:10:030
01:10:03Two goals
01:10:05happened
01:10:05from two
01:10:06set plays
01:10:06and that's
01:10:07what we have
01:10:08to solve
01:10:10the problem
01:10:10conceding
01:10:10goals from
01:10:11set plays
01:10:11I think
01:10:11from our
01:10:12last 60
01:10:12defeats
01:10:13in five
01:10:14games
01:10:15we just
01:10:15conceded
01:10:15goals from
01:10:16set plays
01:10:16and not
01:10:16one
01:10:17just
01:10:17every single
01:10:17one
01:10:18today
01:10:18two
01:10:18four at
01:10:19Leeds
01:10:19two
01:10:20against
01:10:20Man United
01:10:21one
01:10:21against
01:10:21Tottenham
01:10:22two at
01:10:22Strasbourg
01:10:23and then
01:10:23you can't
01:10:25win games
01:10:26this is our
01:10:27responsibility
01:10:28it's my
01:10:30responsibility
01:10:30to give the
01:10:31players better
01:10:31solutions
01:10:32that they can
01:10:33defend it
01:10:33in a better
01:10:33way
01:10:34I think we
01:10:34work really hard
01:10:35at our
01:10:36set pieces
01:10:36and pleased
01:10:37to see
01:10:37them come
01:10:37off
01:10:37and they
01:10:38can win
01:10:38and lose
01:10:38your game
01:10:39so it
01:10:40was a
01:10:40defining
01:10:40factor
01:10:41today
01:10:41when we
01:10:41come in
01:10:41at 0-0
01:10:42we know
01:10:42we could
01:10:42play better
01:10:43I thought
01:10:43we did
01:10:44play better
01:10:44especially
01:10:44with the
01:10:45introduction
01:10:45of the
01:10:46substitutes
01:10:46I thought
01:10:46they all
01:10:47made a
01:10:47difference
01:10:47and finally
01:10:49we had
01:10:49some
01:10:49strength
01:10:50back in
01:10:50the squad
01:10:51today
01:10:51you could
01:10:51see our
01:10:51bench
01:10:52was
01:10:52much
01:10:54stronger
01:10:55and I
01:10:55think that
01:10:56made the
01:10:56difference
01:10:56so back
01:10:57to back
01:10:58wins for
01:10:58Newcastle
01:10:59United
01:10:59and that
01:11:00coincides
01:11:01with two
01:11:02Premier League
01:11:02starts for
01:11:03Johan Wisser
01:11:03he offers
01:11:04something of
01:11:05an Isak-esque
01:11:06quality to
01:11:07Newcastle
01:11:07you see
01:11:07the difference
01:11:08but yeah
01:11:10I agree
01:11:11totally
01:11:11Gabby
01:11:12and there's
01:11:13good link
01:11:13up play
01:11:13with him
01:11:13and Gemara
01:11:14you see
01:11:14in the
01:11:15picture
01:11:15he drops
01:11:15deep
01:11:16but I
01:11:18like to
01:11:18keep an
01:11:18eye on
01:11:19his movement
01:11:19after
01:11:20he drags
01:11:21the centre
01:11:21half out of
01:11:22position
01:11:22but he's
01:11:23not happy
01:11:23we can get
01:11:23involved
01:11:24in link
01:11:24up play
01:11:24watch where
01:11:25he ends
01:11:25up here
01:11:25now
01:11:25he probably
01:11:26should
01:11:26Johan
01:11:26at the
01:11:27edge
01:11:27of the
01:11:27box
01:11:27but again
01:11:30he's got
01:11:30one thought
01:11:30in his
01:11:31mind
01:11:31is to
01:11:32get in
01:11:32the box
01:11:32and again
01:11:33Bruno
01:11:33receives
01:11:34the ball
01:11:34here
01:11:34look at
01:11:34Wisser
01:11:34his first
01:11:35thought
01:11:35is can
01:11:36he stretch
01:11:36the opposition
01:11:37can he
01:11:37play down
01:11:38the sides
01:11:38and again
01:11:39a bit like
01:11:39Isak last
01:11:40season
01:11:40he's done
01:11:40that a lot
01:11:41it's very
01:11:42difficult for
01:11:42defenders to
01:11:43defend against
01:11:43pace and
01:11:43power
01:11:44he was
01:11:44marginally
01:11:44offside
01:11:45in this
01:11:45occasion
01:11:45obviously
01:11:46Gordon
01:11:46with the
01:11:47follow-up
01:11:47but the
01:11:47goal was
01:11:48rightly
01:11:48disallowed
01:11:48again
01:11:49can Bruno
01:11:49play that
01:11:49ball
01:11:50you see
01:11:50Visser
01:11:51peeling
01:11:51on the
01:11:51back
01:11:51of the
01:11:51centre
01:11:52half
01:11:52that's
01:11:52what
01:11:52he's
01:11:53good
01:11:53at
01:11:53occupying
01:11:54the
01:11:54centre
01:11:54halves
01:11:55and again
01:11:55he doesn't
01:11:56come out
01:11:57to try and
01:11:57link up
01:11:57with the
01:11:57box
01:11:58but maybe
01:11:58he's getting
01:11:59in the
01:11:59middle of
01:11:59the goal
01:12:00he's the
01:12:00best
01:12:00opportunity
01:12:01to score
01:12:01goals
01:12:01Palace
01:12:02just do
01:12:02enough
01:12:03to defend
01:12:03this
01:12:03but again
01:12:04him and
01:12:04Bruno
01:12:04are in
01:12:05the
01:12:05box
01:12:05trying to
01:12:06score
01:12:06and Eddie
01:12:07mentioned
01:12:07set
01:12:07plays
01:12:07it's a
01:12:08huge
01:12:08part
01:12:08of the
01:12:08game
01:12:09we highlight
01:12:09Bruno
01:12:10in the
01:12:10middle
01:12:10of the
01:12:10box
01:12:11and we
01:12:11should
01:12:11mention
01:12:11Lewis
01:12:12Murray
01:12:12keeps it
01:12:14alive
01:12:15and you
01:12:15want your
01:12:16captain to
01:12:16step up
01:12:17at a key
01:12:17moment
01:12:18the first
01:12:18goal in
01:12:18any game
01:12:19is so
01:12:19important
01:12:19and again
01:12:20captain
01:12:20fantastic
01:12:21steps up
01:12:21to the
01:12:22plate
01:12:22gets
01:12:22the
01:12:22all
01:12:22important
01:12:23goal
01:12:23and you
01:12:24look at
01:12:24his stats
01:12:24as well
01:12:25he's
01:12:25matched
01:12:25his best
01:12:26goal
01:12:26scoring
01:12:26record
01:12:27already
01:12:27and we're
01:12:28only in
01:12:28January
01:12:28so again
01:12:29such
01:12:29huge
01:12:29important
01:12:30goals
01:12:30and Eddie
01:12:31mentioned
01:12:32momentum
01:12:32for this
01:12:32team
01:12:33now
01:12:33back to
01:12:33back
01:12:34once
01:12:34can they
01:12:34push
01:12:35on
01:12:35they've
01:12:35got
01:12:35some
01:12:40and they
01:12:41do have
01:12:42a terrible
01:12:42record
01:12:43this
01:12:43they do
01:12:43I'm sure
01:12:44this is
01:12:44driving him
01:12:45mad
01:12:46because
01:12:46they're
01:12:47always in
01:12:47games
01:12:47they're
01:12:48defensively
01:12:49sound
01:12:49they're
01:12:49well organised
01:12:50well coached
01:12:51but like
01:12:51he said
01:12:52if you're
01:12:52going to
01:12:52ship this
01:12:53many goals
01:12:53from set
01:12:54pieces
01:12:54over 50%
01:12:55of the goals
01:12:56they've conceded
01:12:56have been
01:12:57from set
01:12:57plays
01:12:57and it's
01:12:58been a
01:12:58real struggle
01:12:59for him
01:12:59and the
01:13:00more it
01:13:00happens
01:13:01the more
01:13:01it becomes
01:13:01a thing
01:13:02because I'm
01:13:02sure he'll
01:13:03do a
01:13:03meeting on
01:13:03it tomorrow
01:13:04or the
01:13:05next day
01:13:05around
01:13:06we need
01:13:06to be
01:13:06better at
01:13:07it
01:13:07and then
01:13:07the lads
01:13:08go out
01:13:08onto the
01:13:09pitch
01:13:09they give
01:13:10a corner
01:13:10away
01:13:10and instantly
01:13:12everyone's
01:13:12thinking
01:13:12oh no
01:13:13another
01:13:13corner
01:13:14you know
01:13:14we've
01:13:14struggled
01:13:14off these
01:13:15this season
01:13:15so the
01:13:16quicker they
01:13:16fix it
01:13:17the better
01:13:17easier said
01:13:18than done
01:13:18but I'm

01:25:14opportunity
01:25:14he
01:25:14takes
01:25:15Mane
01:25:19is onside
01:25:19no question
01:25:20of that
01:25:20and he
01:25:21has a
01:25:21goal
01:25:22and it's
01:25:23three
01:25:23a big
01:25:29moment
01:25:29a big
01:25:29day
01:25:30for Wolves
01:25:30I know
01:25:31you're
01:25:31pleased
01:25:32for your
01:25:32old team
01:25:33there
01:25:33one of
01:25:34your other
01:25:34old teams
01:25:35as a
01:25:35player
01:25:35West Ham
01:25:36in big
01:25:36trouble
01:25:37yeah
01:25:37it seems
01:25:38that way
01:25:38doesn't
01:25:38it
01:25:38I thought
01:25:39that when
01:25:40they appointed
01:25:40Nuno
01:25:40that they
01:25:42would start
01:25:42to move
01:25:42themselves
01:25:43away
01:25:43and we'd
01:25:43see an
01:25:44upturn
01:25:44it hasn't
01:25:45quite
01:25:45gone
01:25:45that way
01:25:46yet
01:25:46I'm sure
01:25:46they'll be
01:25:47doing their
01:25:47best in
01:25:48January
01:25:48to give
01:25:49him some
01:25:49support
01:25:49and try
01:25:50and give
01:25:50themselves
01:25:51an opportunity
01:25:51because that
01:25:52gap just
01:25:52seems to be
01:25:53widening
01:25:53you know
01:25:54Nottingham
01:25:54Forest
01:25:54haven't quite
01:25:55capitalised
01:25:55but Leeds
01:25:56have moved
01:25:56themselves
01:25:56away from
01:25:57it
01:25:57so
01:25:58fantastic
01:25:58win for
01:25:59Wolves
01:25:59absolutely
01:25:59delighted
01:26:00for Rob
01:26:00as well
01:26:00because I
01:26:01know he's
01:26:01working his
01:26:01socks off
01:26:02there and
01:26:02he's got
01:26:02their first
01:26:03victory
01:26:03which will
01:26:04feel like
01:26:04a big
01:26:04one
01:26:05but West Ham
01:26:06with an
01:26:06awful lot of
01:26:07work to do
01:26:07to move
01:26:07away from
01:26:08that bottom
01:26:08three
01:26:08big game
01:26:09against
01:26:09Forest
01:26:09on Tuesday
01:26:09of course
01:26:10now we've
01:26:10loved having
01:26:11you here
01:26:11haven't we
01:26:11we've had
01:26:12a great
01:26:12day today
01:26:12we've all
01:26:13been in
01:26:13since 12
01:26:13o'clock
01:26:14watching all
01:26:14the matches
01:26:15I'm sure
01:26:15you've had
01:26:16a lovely
01:26:16time
01:26:16you'd much
01:26:17rather be
01:26:18managing
01:26:18of course
01:26:19would you
01:26:20well yeah
01:26:22this has been
01:26:23great
01:26:24it's not quite
01:26:24as stressful
01:26:25as managing
01:26:25but I do
01:26:26miss being on
01:26:26the touchline
01:26:27it's a fantastic
01:26:28feeling so
01:26:28hopefully back soon
01:26:29hopefully something
01:26:30comes up
01:26:30that you feel
01:26:31you want to do
01:26:32more than spend
01:26:33time with Shea
01:26:33and I
01:26:33yeah
01:26:34good choice
01:26:35really
01:26:35okay here's
01:26:37how the
01:26:38Premier League
01:26:38table looks
01:26:39after 20
01:26:39games played
01:26:40back-to-back
01:26:41draws for
01:26:42Manchester City
01:26:42means Arsenal
01:26:43have a six
01:26:44point lead
01:26:44at the top
01:26:45Brentford have
01:26:45made their
01:26:46joint best
01:26:46start to a
01:26:47Premier League
01:26:47season and
01:26:47are only four
01:26:48points off
01:26:48Liverpool in
01:26:49fourth in
01:26:49fact a mere
01:26:50four point
01:26:50separates fifth
01:26:51all the way
01:26:51down to
01:26:5114th
01:26:52Leeds extend
01:26:53their gap
01:26:53above the
01:26:54bottom three
01:26:54to a healthy
01:26:55eight points
01:26:55after a seventh
01:26:56match without
01:26:56defeat but
01:26:57Crystal Palace's
01:26:58run of poor
01:26:58form continues
01:26:59with a fourth
01:27:00league loss in
01:27:01five now it's
01:27:02time for the
01:27:03results of
01:27:04goal of the
01:27:04month
01:27:05and in
01:27:20third place
01:27:21is
01:27:22Fulham's
01:27:22Harry Wilson
01:27:23on 23.92%
01:27:26of the vote
01:27:27this is
01:27:27relevant because
01:27:28Morgan Rogers
01:27:29got 23.96%
01:27:32of the vote
01:27:33talk about
01:27:33tight margins
01:27:34for his goal
01:27:35against
01:27:35Manchester
01:27:35United
01:27:36so the
01:27:37winner
01:27:37with 26.46%
01:27:40but it was a
01:27:40team goal
01:27:41really wasn't
01:27:41it but it
01:27:42was finished
01:27:42by Dominic
01:27:43Calvert-Lewin
01:27:43for Leeds
01:27:44United
01:27:44Leeds

01:27:54from him
01:27:55and to

01:27:59here
01:27:59leads
01:28:00Aronson
01:28:00Calvert-Lewin
01:28:01it's a
01:28:08it's a fabulous
01:28:08team goal
01:28:09and Calvert-Lewin's
01:28:12incredible streak
01:28:13in front of

01:28:15scored on the
01:28:2028th of
