00:01:04So today, he's not doubling, he's tripling.

00:01:08We're going to begin with Liverpool leads.

00:01:10But there is breaking news tonight on the future of Mohamed Salah.

00:01:13He started on the bench for the third game in a row.

00:01:16And then in a post-match interview, Salah said the club had thrown him under the bus

00:01:20and that he has no relationship with manager Arna Slott.

00:01:24More on that to come. Guy Mowbrie was watching the match at Elland Road.

00:01:28The atmosphere here this season will have taken many Leeds fans back to those heady days at the turn of the century.

00:01:36And it reached a glorious peak for them in Wednesday's 3-1 win over old foes Chelsea.

00:15:40I've said a few times before that I have a good relationship with the manager and now all of a sudden we have no relationship.

00:15:46I don't know why.

00:15:47It seems like the club are throwing me under the bus.

00:15:50That's how I feel.

00:15:51This club, I will always support it.

00:15:53My kids will always support it.

00:15:54I love the club so much and I always will.

00:15:56It, meaning the situation, is not acceptable to me, to be fair.

00:16:05I've done so much for this club.

00:16:07I don't have to fight every day for my position because I earn it.

00:16:12There is a lot to unpack in all of that.

00:16:15Starting with the idea, let's maybe go backwards throughout it.

00:16:18The idea that Mohamed Salah doesn't need to earn his place because he's already earned it with the performances that he's put in historically over his time at the club.

00:16:25No, we know that's an emotional response and doesn't really stack up.

00:16:29Everyone has to keep fighting for the place and performing at a certain level.

00:16:32I don't think he's on his own.

00:16:34I think a lot of other big-name players are starting to get stick and get the fan base turned a little bit against them.

00:16:41Everyone's being judged.

00:16:42His point here is that he's the one who is the scapegoat.

00:16:46It's not true.

00:16:48I think you can be emotional and you can be angry and frustrated.

00:16:51He's done wonderful things for the football club.

00:16:54You have to keep it in the four walls of the club.

00:17:01Whatever you've got to do, express your frustration.

00:17:04By doing what he's done, he's causing now the team a problem and the manager a problem and he's making it all about him.

00:17:11Whether you agree with him being left out or not, you don't deal with it like this.

00:17:15Do you think he is being thrown under the bus?

00:17:17Do you think he is being made a scapegoat for the team's failings this season?

00:17:22No, not at all.

00:17:23And I think Danny's right.

00:17:24I just think we shouldn't know about this.

00:17:27We shouldn't even know about this.

00:17:28He should be in those four walls, as Danny said.

00:17:29However, I do believe the Diogo Jota situation has hit that football club incredibly hard.

00:17:37And those players, without them knowing how hard it's hit them, because he was so close to all of them.

00:17:44And I believe it's hit Salah possibly more than most.

00:17:47And that's the situation he probably can't get right mentally.

00:17:51That said, as a Liverpool player, it doesn't matter who you are, you've got to earn the right to play in the first eleven.

00:18:00He's told his family to come to the Brighton game because he said he wants to say goodbye,

00:18:05then added before he goes off to the Cup of Nations.

00:58:31for a lot of different reasons.

00:58:33High school honestly was really hard.

00:58:36Before I come here I was very bad with sensory issues.

00:58:39I am a previous student of Safe Hands

00:58:42and I am now enrolled in Catering College.

00:58:48Jai's journey has been an amazing one to witness and be a part of.

00:58:51So, to see him in college now and absolutely thriving

00:58:54is absolutely amazing to see.

00:58:56So, they've really helped you?

00:58:58Really?

00:58:59Yeah, yeah, yeah.

00:59:00To see the impact this place has had on Jai is amazing.

00:59:05He's so confident, he's amazing at what he does

01:06:36It was always going to come from a moment or a set-piece, I felt, with the way that we were playing.

01:06:39I thought the players in general showed a lot of character, spirit, togetherness in the second half.

01:06:44And unfortunately we couldn't quite get the goal to really unnerve it.

01:06:48Xavi has been, you know, I'm so pleased for him.

01:06:51Really, really so pleased for him because he's been working very hard on the training pitch in the gym.

01:06:57And actually I think he's been on a good one, you know, close to be decisive and today an assist and a goal very good.

01:07:04Well, not only has Xavi Simmonds been working incredibly hard, he's also making a huge difference for Tottenham.

01:07:11Does that surprise you, Danny, in terms of those numbers?

01:07:13It does when I saw these numbers, yeah, and I think it will surprise a few Spurs fans.

01:07:17The two biggest things there are the wins and the points per game with him in the team compared to when he doesn't.

01:07:23I think today he looked full of confidence. The whole team looked more confident for some reason.

01:07:26There was an energy about him and a dynamism.

01:07:29There's been a lot of talk, great ball that from Bentancur as well, about them playing too safe and not being creative enough at home.

01:07:35But Simmonds was buzzing around and this example here is brilliant because we've seen him come to feet a lot and try and get in those pockets.

01:07:43This we haven't seen enough of from him. And also when you do run him behind, have you got the legs to get in there and beat the defender?

01:07:50The manager there is talking about him working really hard in training. He looks stronger, he looks fitter.

01:07:54That's a brilliant pass as well, puts it on a plate for Richarlison.

01:07:57I think I mentioned for Archie Gray as well, he was incredible and put himself about.

01:08:03But this is one part of Simmonds' game where we haven't seen enough of that, winning the ball back.

01:08:08And you need that when you're playing Thomas Frank's team to keep going there and have the strength to hold people off and get the finish.

01:08:13Then his confidence was up. Tottenham enjoyed themselves.

01:08:16They started expressing themselves more and they needed this hugely.

01:08:20And little things like this, the ball comes, he doesn't think, just puts into a lovely, dangerous area.

01:08:24Whereas in recent times when he's played, sometimes he's overthinking, playing short, playing wide, not taking the risk.

01:08:30And again, we see the energy and the fitness. This is what we're talking about.

01:08:34Because if you're playing that 10 role and more attacking, you've got to do this part of it as well.

01:08:39So he'll be delighted. It's hugely important that he started playing to this level.

01:08:44Definitely his best game in the Tottenhamshire. Great news for Tottenham.

01:24:17But the inevitability is that when you don't have senior players and more experienced players you are going to get extremes of performances.

01:24:29I just think senior players help you in moments such at Leeds when to slow the game down.

01:24:37When to use the dark arts.

01:24:39When you know all those little things that somebody.

01:24:42And people like that but they're still exciting to watch.

01:24:46They've got lots of things to look forward to at Chelsea and they could still have a really productive season.

01:25:15You need to do more.

01:25:16If that's your job then do that.

01:25:18Obviously you need to do other things within the game.

01:25:19But if you're signed as that number nine, whether you've got the nine or not, score the goals and you'll keep the shirt.
