00:00The Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement, an all-encompassing trade deal inked by both countries,
00:06was well worth the cost of the trip and sweat equity expended by the President and his working entourage.
00:13But there's more. A Memorandum of Understanding on Defense and Security,
00:17a potential data center to rise in the southern Tagalog region,
00:21and a forum of global cooperation towards sustainable development and climate action,
00:26the President took part in along with other global leaders and stakeholders.

00:36President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. touted the gains from his working visit to the United Arab Emirates, or UAE.
00:43Among the key outcomes was the signing of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement, or CEPA,
00:48witnessed by the President and UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nayan.
00:52The deal aims to cut tariffs, open markets for goods and services, boost investments,
00:58and create more opportunities for Filipino professionals in the UAE.
01:02It also covers key areas such as digital trade, MSMEs, sustainability, intellectual property,
01:08consumer protection, government procurement, and technical cooperation.
01:12Philippine exports such as bananas, pineapples, canned tuna, electronics, and machinery are expected to benefit.
01:18The President said the agreement will further strengthen bilateral ties and support the growth of Filipino working in the UAE.
01:24Initial studies show CEPA could raise Philippine exports to the UAE by about 9.13 percent
01:30and strengthen trade links with the Gulf region.
01:33A Defense Cooperation Memorandum of Understanding, or MOU, was also signed,
01:37seen as a platform to advance defense technologies and strengthen the armed forces of both countries.
01:43The agreement will also enable more training and stronger intelligence and security sharing.
01:47The President also met with officials of Damak Digital, a UAE-based digital infrastructure and data center company.
01:53President Marcos Jr. and Damak Digital founder Husein Sajwani discussed planned investments in the Philippines,
01:59including a data center project in Laguna.
02:02Partnership opportunities in the Philippines' digital infrastructure sector were also explored.
02:07The President stressed that Damak Digital's investment could position the Philippines as a regional data center hub
02:12as the government continues to push for a stronger digital economy.
02:16One of the highlights of the visit was the President's participation in the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week.
02:21He underscored the need for stronger global cooperation to advance sustainable development and climate action.
02:27The President reaffirmed the Philippines' commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals
02:30by linking climate action, adaptation, and economic growth.
02:33He also highlighted his administration's agenda focused on inclusive growth,
02:38innovation, resilient infrastructure, and strong institutions.
02:41The Chief Executive said sustainability is shared responsibility
02:44and that the Philippines is ready to lead and act ahead of the Philippines' ASEAN Chairship.
02:50The President said technology and sustainability will be at the heart of the country's regional leadership agenda.
