Woods welcomes Koepka's PGA Tour return

Tiger Woods says the decision by Brooks Koepka to leave LIV Golf speaks to the quality of the PGA Tour

00:00Tiger, we wanted to get your thoughts on Brooks coming back.

00:03Obviously, you were involved in the process, I take it.

00:08Can you take us through that?

00:10Did you even talk to Brooks?

00:11We received his letter on December 23rd that he wants to come back.

00:17It wrote to the commissioner and Brian.

00:20We took that letter and then took it to both boards

00:23and tried to implement a plan that would be fair and adequate

00:26that justifies Brooks' time away from our tour.

00:32He's not taking a spot away from any player.

00:34That was one of the main concerns

00:36and one of the big things that myself and the other player directors

00:40demanded that that was not ever going to be the case.

00:43He's an additive.

00:45And on top of that, we get a top three of his generation player back

00:48that went to another tour, played over there,

00:52and was adamant about coming back here and got out early to come back.

00:56That says a lot about the PGA Tour, where we're headed,

01:00what we have done, what we've accomplished,

01:01and the players who have stayed and have supported the tour.

01:05Having another world-class player that these guys are going to try and beat,

01:10that's what the fans demanded.

01:11That's what the fans wanted for our fan initiative program.

01:14And I think we've addressed that.
