05:52All right, Jessica for the first time nice loud and clear. What was the color you were thinking of?
05:57Red
05:58Red
05:59Red?
06:00I'm halfway there
06:03Thank you
06:05Well, Jessica, if you pick red, this is an empty glass. We need to fill it. Check this out

06:16All the way to the top. Let's fill it all the way to the top for you, Jessica
06:20This is just ink and paper, and this is especially for you to take home as an old souvenir
06:24But of course you don't get red wine out of nowhere. You get it out of a real bottle, something like that

14:09Let's give a warm welcome to Joel Myers.
14:17What is up, you guys?
14:18So, guys, tonight we're going to take a little bit of a risk, okay?
14:22The first risk is going to be me taking a risk on who I'm picking tonight, because I'm going to find that person totally at random.
14:27I'm going to find that person totally at random by throwing this baseball bat.
14:43Whoever it knocks unconscious.
14:47Let's see here.
14:48Who do we have in the front?
14:51You, sir, what's your name, bro?
14:52Christian.
14:53Christian.
14:54Everybody give a big hand for Christian.
14:55Christian, come on over.
14:56Stand right here, Christian.
14:57Right here.
14:58Nice to meet you, buddy.
14:59Hold on to the bat for me, Christian.
15:00You can turn around and face everybody so everybody can see you.
15:01So, Christian, here's the deal.
15:02I've got a pad of paper over here.
15:03On this pad of paper, I've written down a bunch of different random items, okay?
15:07I want you to think of any one of these random items.
15:09But first, I'm going to show them to everybody, make sure everybody sees that they're all totally different.
15:12No two things are exactly the same.
15:14Think about things like we have a pineapple there, a kitten, there's a snake, glasses, cup of coffee, there's an iPhone, pizza, laptop, antique vase flowers.
15:22You get it.
15:23All different, right?
15:24Christian, here's the deal.
15:25You're just going to lift and peek at any one of these items.
15:27Totally up to you.
15:28Just lift and peek.
15:29Don't let anybody see.
15:30You're not going to let the audience see.
15:31You're not going to let the camera see.
15:32And most importantly, Christian, you're not going to let me see.
15:34You ready?
15:35Right.
15:36Cool.
15:37Go ahead and lift and peek.
15:38Get one of the items in your mind.
15:39Did you get one?
15:40I got one.
15:41Cool.
15:42You also notice there are some boxes over here on stage, okay?
15:46Numbered one through six.
15:47Come on up, Christian.
15:49One through six.
15:50Christian, I want you to do me a favor.
15:51Name any number between one and six.
15:54Go.
15:55Two.
15:56Two.
15:57This one here.
15:58Yeah, two.
15:59Number two.
16:00Christian, I'm going to ask you something.
16:01Do you want to change your mind?
16:02No.
16:03Two.
16:04No.
16:05You're sticking with two.
16:06Yeah.
16:07Number two.
16:08Christian, we are going to eliminate number two.
16:09Here's the deal.
16:10The rest of this is really fun because now we're going to get to blow off some steam.
16:12Yeah.
16:13Good.
16:14Let me show you.
16:15Here's what we're going to do.
16:16We're going to destroy the other boxes.
16:17Christian, you ready?
16:18Yes.
16:19Okay.
16:20I feel better.
16:23Christian, do the next one.
16:25It's up to you.
16:26Go ahead.
16:27Smash one, Christian.
16:28You got to take two, Christian.
16:30Do it again.
16:31Hit it hard.
16:32Hard.
16:33There we go.
16:34There we go.
16:35Mazel tov.
16:36That's good.
16:37Yeah, yeah.
16:38It was a little, yeah.
16:39Okay.
16:40You're going to do one more.
16:41I'll do the last one.
16:42Go, Christian.
16:43Take out some aggression.
16:44There it is.
16:45Nicely done.
16:46I'll do the last one.
16:49Nice catch.
16:50You saved her life.
16:52It was amazing.
16:54So, Christian, I know all of this seemed totally random and like it really made no sense other
16:59than blowing off some steam.
17:00But the truth is, Christian, there was a reason why we did all this.
17:03Remember in the beginning I asked you to name a number.
17:04You named number two.
17:05I asked you if you wanted to change your mind.
17:06You said no, yes?
17:07No.
17:08Yeah.
17:09Christian, hold on to this.
17:10There we go.
17:11So, Christian, I also asked you to think of an object, anything you wanted.
17:14For the first time, name out loud, what is it that you thought of?
17:17Fish.
17:18A fish?
17:19Fish.
17:20Fish.
17:21A fish and a big hand.
17:22Come on.
17:23First, welcome to the stage, the incredible Eric Eaton.
17:27What's your name, man?
17:28Kareem.
17:29Kareem, nice to meet you.
17:30Kareem, what was your favorite sport growing up?
17:32Uh, basketball.
17:33Hockey?
17:34Sure.
17:35Good.
17:36Yeah.
17:37Let's welcome to the stage the incredible Eric Eaton.
17:49What's your name, man?
17:51Kareem.
17:51Kareem, Kareem, nice to meet you.
17:52Kareem, what was your favorite sport growing up?
17:54Uh, basketball.
17:55Hockey?
17:56Sure.
17:56Good, yeah.
17:57You look like a hockey player, Kareem.
17:58Kareem, my favorite sport growing up was hockey.
18:01I'd go play with my friends, my brother.
18:02We'd go on the street.
18:03Now, growing up, we had big dreams of playing professional.
18:06So what we do is to decide which team we wanted to be,
18:09we'd put these pieces of paper down that had different team names.
18:12For example, Jets, Flames, Devils, Canucks, Kraken.
18:17You get the point.
18:18Just a bunch of different hockey team names.
18:19All we're going to do, Kareem, is we're just going to spread these on the floor.
18:22Spread them out just like that.
18:26That's pretty random.
18:27Can we agree?
18:28Yeah, definitely.
18:28Completely random.
18:30Kareem, I have a ball here.
18:31What I'm going to do is I'm going to stick handle over the papers with the ball.
18:35At any point you feel comfortable, I want you to just give me any number you'd like, okay?
18:40What number are you thinking of?
18:41Eight.
18:42Eight.
18:42All right, we're going to stick handle eight times.
18:44Ready?
18:45Let's go.
18:45One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight.
18:52Kareem, this is where I'm at, all right?
18:54Now, you could think I maybe went there.
18:56Would you like me to move the ball to another card?
18:58Uh, yeah.
19:00Yeah, where would you like me to go?
19:01Which way?
19:01Uh, to your right.
19:03To my right, uh, right there sound good or?
19:05Perfect.
19:06Perfect.
19:06All right, Kareem, here's what we're going to do.
19:07I'm going to place the stick down.
19:09You stopped on this card here.
19:11You picked eight stick handles, then decided to move one.
19:13Just so you can see, they're still all different.
19:16Sabres.
19:17Ducks.
19:19Oilers.
19:23Panthers.
19:23You get the point.
19:24They're all different.
19:25You stopped right here on this card, correct?
19:27Kareem, that was a free choice again, right?
19:29Yep.
19:29Kareem, you stopped on the Penguins.
19:33Tough team, right?
19:35The Penguins.
19:36Now, Kareem, I actually have a jersey here.
19:38So, growing up, we didn't have the money to buy the cool jerseys.
19:41What we do is we would take a piece of tape and then write our team name on.
19:45Kareem, my jersey from growing up actually said the Penguins.
19:49But, Kareem, it gets better.
20:01You got to pick a number to stick handle.
20:03You picked eight.
20:04My jersey number was actually...
20:06One of a plus for Kareem.
20:10Next, you'll need to sit down for this next act as Ivan Amodai calls out his audience.
20:24Guys, don't lie to me.
20:25Are you just messing with me?
20:27David Goldrake will have you thinking outside the box as his next trick is a cut above the rest.
20:33Eric Jones is breaking new barriers with a unique magic act.
20:37This, again, is a solid piece of glass, and there's only one way that I can get through.
20:43You really have to go through.
20:57It's time now for a magician whose performances are a perfect blend of charm, intellect, and spellbinding illusions.
21:05With a career that spans the entire globe, he's here to enchant you with his one-of-a-kind magic.
21:11Please welcome the one, the only, Ivan Amodai.
21:20How's it going?
21:21Good.
21:22I want to show you something really interesting.
21:23These are not normal cards.
21:28These are states.
21:30Every single one of these has a state on it.
21:32This is what I taught my kids when they were little, how to learn all 56 states.
21:36Right here, these cards.
21:37When I travel around the world doing magic, I notice that in every country, they have traditional ways of shuffling cards.
21:48This is the way you'll see whenever you go in the United States.
21:52This is the way you'll see it in China.
21:53This is how you see it in Italy.
21:56These guys who play cards at little coffee houses in Italy, they take five cards from the front, they shuffle them to the back.
22:02One, two, three, four, five.
22:03And then the same five cards from the back return to the front.
22:06One, two, three, four, five.
22:07Nothing happens.
22:08Here's the way they shuffle in Brooklyn where I grew up.
22:14Don't play cards with those guys.
22:15And then, of course, this is the way you shuffle when you want to impress people.
22:22Let me try it and see what happens on this side.
22:24All right, here we go.
22:25Wow.
22:27Very cool.
22:28All right, I'm going to take about half the cards.
22:30I'm going to give them to you.
22:32You shuffle and look through them.
22:34You can see that they're completely just, you know, I'm just giving you random amounts so then you can do the same.
22:39Shuffle, shuffle, shuffle.
22:40So listen, I have a friend who has a little baby, and the mom, she can hear this baby basically like if there's an orchestra in her living room.
22:50She can hear the baby up in the room as if it's completely dead silent around her.
22:55And I thought to myself, wait, what?
22:58And she said, eh, it's just a mother thing.
23:00We can hear the child.
23:01It doesn't matter how much loudness is going on around us.
23:04It absolutely doesn't matter.
23:06We just have this maternal instinct.
23:07So I thought to myself, that's a trick.
23:10Gosh, that's got to be a magic trick.
23:12But can you focus on the things you want to focus on and completely delete all the other stuff?
23:17Well, that's life.
23:20We have to all figure that out.
23:21So did you shuffle them?
23:23Yes.
23:23Are you pretty happy with the amount?
23:25Yes.
23:25All right, give me those babies back.
23:27All right, cool.
23:28And then there was another guy that shuffled.
23:30Where was that?
23:31And did you shuffle them pretty well too?
23:33I think so.
23:33And how long did you shuffle those for?
23:35Maybe a minute.
23:36All right, cool.
23:37Maybe a minute.
23:37All right, cool.
23:38Two shuffled decks.
23:40Two shuffled decks.
23:41This guy in the corner, point to one.
23:44Point to one.
23:45Which side?
23:47This side?
23:48Yeah.
23:48You want this one?
23:49Yeah.
23:49All right, cool.
23:50We don't need those.
23:51What?
23:52We don't need them.
23:54I'm going to give some out.
23:56Here's a couple for you.
23:58Here's a couple for you.
24:00Here's a couple for you guys.
24:01And you just hold them in the middle.
24:05Here's a couple for the Diennes.
24:07And here's a couple for you.
24:09And here's some for you.
24:11And here's some for you.
24:12And here's some for you.
24:16Here's some for you.
24:18And here's some for you.
24:20All the way in the back.
24:22If you've received a stack of cards, stand up.
24:24I don't know how many I gave you, but if it's more than one, that's fine.
24:29If it's two, hand one to somebody right next to you, like to your left in the same row.
24:34That person needs to stand up.
24:38Okay.
24:39Everybody standing right now should only have one state.
24:45Can't have more than one or it'll be too hard for you.
24:48I want you to look down and say it out loud to you.
24:50I mean, say it to yourself in your mind.
24:51And on the count of three, here's what you're going to do.
24:54You're going to shout the name of the state that you're holding at me as loudly as you can.
24:59But the people seated, your job is more important.
25:02When they shout their states, I want you guys that are seated to shout any state that you want at the same exact time.
25:09And by the way, if you're seated and you don't know any states, ask somebody.
25:14Everybody in this room is going to shout the name of a state.
25:17I'm focused on only the people standing.
25:21Deal?
25:23And I won't be paying attention either.
25:28So on the count of three, everybody's going to shout.
25:31The people seated, you shout whatever you want.
25:33On the count of three.
25:34Here we go.
25:35One.
25:37Two.
25:39Three.
25:40All right.
25:46Here's what I'm going to do.
25:48I'm going to try my best to recall only the guests understanding what they shouted at me.
25:53If you hear me say your state, I need you to say yes really loudly so everybody knows that I got you, and then have a seat.
26:02If you don't hear your state, you don't have to sit.
26:05You guys ready?
26:06Here we go.
26:07Maine.
26:11Maine.
26:15The state of Maine.
26:16If you have it, you have to say yes.
26:18Oh, you said yes?
26:19It was really low.
26:21Alabama.
26:22Yes.
26:24New Jersey.
26:25Yes.
26:26Texas.
26:27Yes.
26:27Nevada.
26:28Yes.
26:28Florida.
26:29Yes.
26:31Chicago.
26:31You guys are paying attention.
26:36How about Illinois?
26:37Yes.
26:38Maryland.
26:38Yes.
26:40Oregon.
26:41Yes.
26:44And New Mexico.
26:45Yes.
26:46I feel that's awesome.
26:51Why you guys, don't lie to me.
26:53Did you not hear your state?
26:54Because that one person on Maine, they didn't want to tell me.
26:57Are you just messing with me?
26:59No?

27:21All I needed to do was to hear your voice.
27:23I'm going to try to match your voice to the original time you said the state.
27:28And if I point to you and you're actually holding that state, you need to say, oh my God.
27:33Yes.
27:33And sit down.
27:34You ready?
27:36Say your name again.
27:37Courtney.

29:23Audience, you ever see a root beer float?
29:25Yeah.
29:25Looks a little like this, right?
29:27Yeah.
29:27Yeah, it's kind of fun.
29:33I do this in the mirror for a couple hours.
29:35It looks good.
29:37You probably know how this works.
29:38That's okay.
29:38What you do is you cut a hole in the back of the bottle.
29:42Now, it is important that you drink the root beer, dump it out before you cut the hole,
29:46or else you'll ruin your cool shoes.
29:48You don't want to do that.
29:50Susanna, I brought another one here.
29:51Check this out.
29:56So you can do it, too.
29:57There's a hole right there in the back.
29:58You stick your thumb like that, and you just do like this.
30:01Oh, oh, it's a root beer float.
30:05If you get bored of that, though, you can do it for a couple hours, right?
30:08And then it's not as good of a trick.
30:10What you do when you get bored of that, though, Susanna, is on the back, there is that hole,
30:15and you can always take that hole and just rip it right off.
30:22Now, Susanna, when you rip the hole off, you also...
30:29Hold that for one sec.
30:30I'll take that bottle back.
30:31Hold that for one sec.

36:03Do me a favor, do me a favor, dude.
36:05Take your index finger, and I want you to touch the back of any playing card in the pack.
36:09That one.
36:10If you could, go ahead and take a look at it.
36:12Okay.
36:12Go ahead and sign your name right on the face of the card.
36:14It's like your first time signing an autograph, right?
36:17Okay, I'll take the pen back.
36:19Now, here, do me a favor and go ahead and show the card to the camera.
36:22Make sure everyone at home gets to see it.
36:24Awesome.
36:25Drop your card back anywhere into the pack that you want.

36:33A bit of encouragement as we make it.
36:35Awesome.
36:36While you're shuffling those cards, losing your card deeper into the pack, I want you to take a look at this glass.
36:41If you could, step up here.
36:42You'll notice that this is an 8 by 10 solid piece of glass.
36:47So, please examine it.
36:48You can touch it anywhere.
36:50Everything looks completely cool, copacetic.
36:53Come on down.
36:54Here's what I'm going to have you do.

37:09Cool.
37:10I'm going to give you this.
37:11Okay.
37:12You've got a really cool job.
37:13I want you to bring the cards up here, and I want you to smash them flat against the glass right about there.
37:20That's perfect.
37:21Hold them with both hands.
37:23Excellent.
37:24Watch closely.
37:25You'll notice a solid passes straight through solid.
37:42You can go ahead and slowly allow those cards to fall, allow the glass to fall as well.
37:47And I've got one question for you, sir.
37:48Is this your card?
37:53Yeah?
37:54You can go ahead and take that.
37:55That's a gift.
37:56But before you go, I said I had a big finish for you.
37:59If you could hand me that cloth that's right there, grab it by the hole.

38:04And take a couple of steps back.
