00:00Your album, Rhyme Pays, the very first album of all time to have that very well-known now logo, the parental advisory stamp on the cover.
00:09What were your thoughts on this back in 1987 and what do you think about censorship today?
00:15When they asked could they put that sticker on my record and I really didn't care because I never wanted to sell somebody something that was unexpected.
00:23There was profanity, there was violence, there was things in my record.
00:26And so they put the first sticker on and that was good. Next album, we actually used the sticker as my logo.
00:33So we rolled with it and that was back in the day where anything that was taboo was cool.
00:37So the sticker actually almost helped record sales. Kids wanted what they weren't supposed to have.
