A routine sea swim turned into a surreal moment when a woman noticed the water around her beginning to freeze mid-swim.
The video, filmed by Torsie Morley from Whitstable, Kent, UK shows the 47-year-old entering the sea as usual before suddenly spotting ice forming in the water.
Moments later, she lifts chunks of ice from the sea with her bare hand as icy waves move around her.
Realising conditions were changing fast, Torsie turns back toward shore, documenting the rare sight as the sea appears to freeze around her.
The clip was shared on Instagram, leaving viewers stunned by the extreme conditions.
One user commented: “Wow wow wow dream a dream just round the coast in Brighton.”
