00:00The Mets appear to be taking a very serious look at the number one free agent on the market, Kyle Tucker.
00:05Next question, what are their chances to actually sign Tucker?
00:09Well, there are only a number of teams that can afford such a player, the Mets being one of them.
00:14So I'm not going to say their chances are nil, but I will say this, the competition looks stiff.
00:20Even if there are only a few other teams in on Tucker,
00:23it does appear to be that two of those teams are the two World Series combatants,
00:27the Toronto Blue Jays and the Los Angeles Dodgers.
00:31Are any of these teams looking at that really long deal, you know, that $400 million deal?
00:36I don't know that he's going to get $400 million.
00:38I think the opportunity to blow past $300 million, according to executives around the league,
00:43probably still is there for such a great two-way player as Tucker.
00:49Not sure who that's going to be with.
00:51Some people think it's more likely the Blue Jays than the Mets or the Dodgers,
00:55but it's possible that Tucker could opt for the shorter deal with a higher AAV and the opt-outs,
01:00and that could bring the Mets or the Dodgers more into play.
01:04We shall see what goes on here.
01:05Very, very interesting development with the Mets.
01:07It does appear that they are very, very much in the mix for the number one free agent, Kyle Tucker.
