Piles of furniture, tyres, and other waste are being dumped in Bootle, leaving local families frustrated. Officials have raised fines to try to tackle the issue.

00:20Brennan, chair of the Bootle Action Group, said volunteers are tired of picking up waste
00:25and questioned why Bootle is used as a dumping ground.
00:29Sefton Council has increased fines for fly-tipping from £400 to £1,000.
00:35Street cleaner John Madden said the problem affects house prices and local health.
00:40Brennan called for cameras in hotspot areas to deter offenders.
